Years ago, the Herzog family planted and raised 12 select varietals in a secluded portion of their vineyard. Each of the vines were chosen for their unique qualities to explore and create with. The key is blending each to reach a perfect balance, one flavor building on another–until a new and special wine is created. This limited edition wine is the first of these estate blends, commemorating our 30th anniversary of making Herzog wines in California. This co-fermented, 12 grape field blend delivers a kaleidoscope of red and black raspberries, espresso, and dusty nutmeg.

Rami Sherman grew up on Kibbutz Lehavot Habashan, in the north of Israel, is married, has two daughters and five grandchildren. In 1972, Rami enlisted to the army and was accepted into the IDF’s elite unit – Sayeret Matkal (the Chief of Staff’s Special Forces). In 1976, during the ‘Entebbe Operation’, Rami served as Yoni Netanyahu’s Operations Officer.
He was the one to coordinate with Dan Shomron and the Israeli Air Force. He landed in the first Hercules and was in the car directly behind the famous Mercedes. Rami was the commander who led the rescued hostages to the Hercules.
