In our times, when the spiritual foundation of our children's upbringing is constantly being challenged, it is essential that parents be ever vigilant. What may at times appear to be of minor concern, can if overlooked, evolve into serious problems with far reaching consequences, more difficult to rectify. For many years commercial advertisement is being sent to our homes. Inappropriate reading material or images have at times inadvertently been included in these pamphlets. Many Erliche parents have therefore either censured these or prevented their children from looking at them. Being that the publishers are local Heimishe Yidden, should community members henceforth apprise them of any such errors, they will surely do their utmost to prevent future mishaps. Sadly, a new trend has recently reached our town. Free non-local magazines lacking any form of Rabbinical supervision, are now available in local stores. Unlike other newspapers & magazines that have to be paid for, these can easily be picked up by children without their parent's knowledge. Any extra effort we invest in our Heilige children's Chinuch, will surely be amply rewarded by the Ribbono Shel Oilom. *
