If you know of something newsworthy, we’d like to know too!

Malvern won the Selwyn Premier 2 Netball Competition last Saturday. Back Row: Sharon Forrester (Coach), Kayla Holland, Bronnie Smith, Jessica Henderson, Ella Forrester, Chloe Cameron, Vanessa Moore (Manager). Front Row: Becky Bruce (Captain), Bianca Duncan, Holly Moore and Anna McKenzie. All four netball teams from Malvern Centre made the SemiFinals in their respective grades in the 2022 Selwyn Netball Competition. The two teams in the Masters grades both lost their semi, which meant the end of the season for them. Malvern C

made it through to the final in 4th Grade and after a hard fought game against Dunsandel, they narrowly lost. The team has had a great season and played extremely well and the Centre is extremely proud of them. The Malvern B team,

technically should be called the Malvern A team, started off the season in Premier 3. After the grading round they were promoted to Premier 2 and won enough games to be fourth equal on the table at the end of the Competition round. Goal differential meant they played

the top placed team in the Semi-Final, which they won. The Final, last Saturday, against Broadfield was goal for goal for the majority of the game and had spectators on the edge of their seats. Continued on page 11...
