Summer in Wasilla has its own rhythm, and this month, it returns to Iditapark. Music in the Park, the City of Wasilla’s free summer concert series, kicks off May 30 at Iditapark, located at 594 W. Nelson Ave. The event runs every Saturday from May 30 through July 4, bringing live music, food trucks, local vendors, a beer garden, community
sponsors, and a family-friendly summer atmosphere to the heart of Wasilla. Hosted by MAKE A SCENE Media in partnership with the City of Wasilla, MTA, and a wide variety of community sponsors, Music in the Park has become one of Wasilla’s favorite summer traditions. MAKE A SCENE Media is the local media company behind The People’s Paper, Make A Scene Magazine, and 95.5 The Pass KNLT-FM, and we’re proud to help bring this gathering back to the
park each year on behalf of the City of Wasilla. Each Saturday, Iditapark turns into a small community festival. Food trucks serve the crowd. Vendors set up throughout the park. The beer garden gives adults a place to relax. Kids play. Families gather at the provided tables and chairs or spread out on blankets. Friends meet up after a long week. And at the center of it all, live music fills the park. This year’s lineup includes Raised by Elephants, i Like Robots, Pepper Kit, Hope Cassity, Black Barrel & The Bad Men, Masahiko Kawajo, The Harp Twins and the Wolfgang Twins, Nervis Rex, Cold Fusion, Good Company, Natalie Gelman, Madeline & the Brothers Smith, H3 Hawaii Reggae Band, Mat-Su Concert Band, Jerry Wessling Band, and more. The series wraps up July 4 alongside the parade and Mayor’s Picnic, with a talent show after the Mayor’s Picnic and even more opportunities for residents and visitors to enjoy
Wasilla together. Music in the Park is made possible by the sponsors, vendors, performers, community partners, and attendees who help make the park feel alive each week. It is one of those events that reminds us what public spaces are for: gathering, listening, eating, talking, dancing, and seeing each other. For the full schedule, performer times, vendor info, sponsor details, and updates throughout the season, visit musicintheparkwasilla.com. Bring the family. Bring your friends. Bring your summer spirit. Music in the Park is back, and Wasilla is ready to gather again. A huge thank you to all of our sponsors: MEA, Division of Forestry, Just Imagine Toys, All About Herbs, AKTive Soles, Elevate Eye Care, Spunky Monkey, Wagon Wheel Marketplace, The Chop House, Three Bears Alaska, Arctic Chiropractic, Geico Agent Monica Johnson, Peak Automative, Alaska Sweet Vapes, Red Robin, The Alaska Club, Mat-Su College, MTA, and more!
