Pozdravljeni na Koroškem Willkommen in Kärnten Welcome to Carinthia V enotnosti lahko dosežemo veliko, raznolikost pa odpira nove, navdihujoče perspektive. Tudi pri nas na Koroškem se osredotočamo na dialog in sodelovanje, pri čemer vedno bolj prepoznavamo priložnosti, ki jih ponujata dvo- in večjezičnost. Da, ni bilo vedno tako. Tudi mi smo predolgo zatiskali oči pred nacističnimi grozodejstvi nad etnično manjšino v deželi. Predolgo je prevladovalo zavračanje, etnična manjšina in večina sta bolj ali manj živeli ena poleg druge, ne pa z roko v roki. Doslej smo dosegli že veliko, vendar se še vedno moramo – in hočemo – lotiti številnih izboljšav. S temi začenjamo in o njih razpravljamo v širokem obsegu v našem Forumu za dialog. Edinstvena zgodba o uspehu, ki v tem smislu veliko prispeva, je evropsko nogometno prvenstvno narodnih skupnosti Europeada. Zelo sem vesel, da bo tekmovanje končno potekalo na Koroškem, po tem, ko je bilo dvakrat preloženo zaradi korone. Prijavljenih je 19 moških in štiri ženske ekipe. Prav tako je razveseljivo, da obsežni program temelji na sodelovanju z lokalnimi društvi. Rad bi se zahvalil organizacijski ekipi, vsem odgovornim in sodelujočim. Prisrčno pozdravljam na Koroškem nogometne ekipe in njihove navijače ter navijačice. Prepričan sem, da bodo na Europeadi potekale napete tekme in da bodo nastala tudi številna nova prijateljstva ter pobude.

Auch bei uns in Kärnten setzen wir auf Dialog und Miteinander, wodurch die Chancen von Zwei- und Mehrsprachigkeit immer besser und stärker erkannt werden. Ja, das war nicht immer so. Viel zu lang und viel zu sehr ist auch bei uns das Verdrängen von NS-Gräueltaten gegen die Volksgruppe gelungen. Viel zu lang gab es Verwerfungen,
gab es eher ein Neben- als ein Miteinander zwischen Volksgruppe und Mehrheit. Viel ist inzwischen gelungen, aber wir müssen – und wollen auch – noch viele Verbesserungen angehen. Diese diskutieren und starten wir in breiter Form in unserem Dialogforum. Eine einzigartige und viel in diesem Sinne beitragende Erfolgsgeschichte ist die EUROPEADA, die Fußball-EM der Volksgruppen / Evropsko nogometno prvenstvo narodnih skupnosti. Ich freue mich sehr, dass sie, nachdem sie zweimal coronabedingt verschoben werden musste, nun endlich in Kärnten stattfinden kann. 19 Herren- und vier Damenteams haben sich dafür angemeldet. Großartig ist auch, dass beim umfangreichen Rahmenprogramm auf die Zusammenarbeit mit lokalen Vereinen gesetzt wird. Ich danke dem Veranstalterteam, allen Verantwortlichen und Mitwirkenden. Die Fußballteams und ihre Fans heiße ich herzlich in Kärnten willkommen. Ich bin mir sicher, dass es bei der EUROPEADA spannende Matches, aber auch viele neue Freundschaften und Impulse geben wird. great an extent, we ignored the atrocities committed against the state‘s ethnic group by the Nazi regime. For far too long was there rejection, a mere coexistence rather than cooperation between the ethnic minority and majority. Much has been achieved in the meantime, but we still have - and want - to undertake many improvements. These are discussed and set into action on a broader scale in our Dialogue Forum. A unique success story that is making a significant contribution in this respect is EUROPEADA, the European Football Championship of ethnic minorities / Evropsko nogometno prvenstvo narodnih skupnosti. I am very happy that it can finally take place in Carinthia after it had to be postponed twice due to Corona. 19 men‘s teams and four women‘s teams have registered for it. It is also great that the extensive program is based on cooperation with local organisations. I would like to thank the team of organizers, all those responsible, and all those involved. I warmly welcome the football teams and their fans to Carinthia. I am sure EUROPEADA will bring us exciting matches as well the opportunity for new friendships and insights.

Pomen EUROPEADE Die Bedeutung der EUROPEADA The meaning of EUROPEADA V Europeadi vidim predvsem priložnost, da slovenska narodna skupnost širši javnosti predstavi svojo najboljšo, najbolj kvalitetno, tokrat športno, stran. Vsem zainteresiranim bodo javno predstavljena prizadevanja avtohtonih narodnih manjšin, pri tem bodo v središču – poleg tekem – tudi prireditve, srečavanja in izmenjava mnenj med številnimi evropskimi manjšinami. Zmaga pa naj najboljši v zadovoljstvo vseh sodelujočih moštev ter gledalcev in gledalk tekem. In der EUROPEADA sehe ich vor allem eine gute Gelegenheit, dass sich die slowenische Volksgruppe von ihrer besten und von ihrer qualitätsvollen Seite, diesmal von der sportlichen Seite, einer breiteren Öffentlichkeit präsentiert. I see EUROPEADA as an opportunity for the Slovene ethnic minority to present itself to the wider public at its best, this time in the sporting sense. The efforts of the autochthonous national minorities will be publicly presented to all interested parties, and the focus will be - in addition to the matches - on events, meetings, and exchanges between the many European ethnic minorities. May the best team win to the satisfaction of all the participating teams and the spectators.
Europeada nam daje samozavest in je dokaz, da smo tudi kot sorazmerno majhna narodna skupnost in Slovenska športna zveza kot krovna organizacija z omejenimi sredstvi v stanju izvesti takšen veledogodek. Za reprezentante in reprezentantke pa je Europeada nepozabljiv dogodek ter zagotovo vrhunec v nogometni karieri večine sodelujočih. Minorities, in the sense of non-dominant groups with their own culture, which have resided in a certain region for many generations were evidently culturally strong enough to resist homogenization efforts. These began at the latest in the 18th century, when states in today‘s sense came into being, and were further intensified by the emergence of national ideas in the 19th century. Despite mostly disadvantageous circumstances, minorities have succeeded in preserving and further developing their own worldview, expressed in their language and/or other cultural manifestations different from that of the majority and thus enriching for the culture of a region or country as a whole. Due to competition and mutual inspiration, countries or regions hosting minorities can usually boast a much higher density of cultural and societal activities as well. It is therefore wise for majorities and their political leadership to accept this challenge, to cultivate their minorities as best they can, and to treat them with fairness and appreciation.

Le-ta se izraža v njihovem jeziku in / ali ostalih kulturnih izrazih, ki se razlikujejo od jezika in kulture večinskega naroda ter tako bogatijo kulturo določene regije ali države. Na osnovi konkurence in medsebojne inspiracije imajo države ter regije z manjšinami ponavadi tudi veliko večjo gostoto kulturnih in družbenih aktivnosti. Večinske družbe in njihovo politično vodstvo torej ravnajo modro, če sprejmejo ta izziv in svoje manjšine podpirajo tako dobro, kot je mogoče, ter z njimi ravnajo spodobno in pošteno.

Kako dolgo Slovenke in Slovenci živijo na Koroškem? Slovenke in Slovenci so se na Koroško priselili sredi 6. stoletja in tako na Koroškem živijo že več kot 1400 let. I will certainly remember the FUEN Congress in 2017 because of all the positive emotions it created: the overwhelming enthusiasm of the Carinthian Slovenes competing to become the organisers of Europeada 2020. And now, five years later, I am glad that this enthusiasm did not disappear despite the two delays. Quite the contrary: it became viral, spreading from the organisers to the whole region, and I am sure it will also spread to you, dear players, staff and fans. The Europeada is much more than just football, it is the colours of the teams, the cheering of their supporters, the fascinating cultural events, the inspiring encounters. Vedno se bom spominjal kongresa FUEN leta 2017 in vseh pozitivnih čustev, ki jih je vzbudil, posebej neizmernega navdušenja s katerim so si koroški Slovenci prizadevali, da postanejo prireditelji Europeade 2020. EUROPEA Nachdem die Rätoromanen in der Schweiz 2008, die Lausitzer Sorben in Deutschland 2012 und die Ladiner und deutschsprachigen Südtiroler in Italien 2016 die EUROPEADA ausgetragen haben, findet die heurige EUROPEADA vom 25. Juni bis 3. Juli in Kärnten/Koroška, Österreich, unter dem Motto „EUROPEADA 2022 in Kärnten/Koroška –TOGETHER UNIQUE / SKUPNO ENKRATNI / GEMEINSAM EINZIGARTIG – wir feiern gemeinsam die Einzigartigkeit der Vielfalt“ statt.
Following the EUROPEADA, in 2008 hosted by the Romansh people in Grisons/Switzerland, in 2012 hosted by the Lusatian Sorbs in Germany, and in 2016 hosted by the German-speaking South Tyroleans and the Ladins in South Tyrol/Italy, this year‘s Europeada will be hosted by the Carinthian Slovenes with the motto “TOGETHER UNIQUE/SKUPNO ENKRATNI /GEMEINSAM EINZIGARTIG - together we celebrate the uniqueness of our diversity in Europe“.

Potem, ko je bila Europeada leta 2008 v gosteh pri Retoromanih v Graubündnu v Švici, leta 2012 pri Lužiških Srbih v Nemčiji in leta 2016 pri Ladincih in nemško govorečih Južnih Tirolcih v Pustertalu in Gadertalu v Italiji, bo Europeada letos potekala pri Koroških Slovencih in Slovenkah v Avstriji pod geslom „EUROPEADA 2022 na Koroškem/ Kärnten – TOGETHER UNIQUE / SKUPNO ENKRATNI / GEMEINSAM EINZIGARTIG – skupaj praznujemo enkratnost raznolikosti v Evropi“.
Prireditelj Europeade je Federalistična unija evropskih narodnih skupnosti (FUEN). The Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN) is the organiser of the EUROPEADA. The EUROPEADA 2022 in Carinthia/Koroška is organised by the association “EUROPEADA - European Football Championship of Ethnic Groups / evropsko nogometno prvenstvo narodnih skupnosti” based in Klagenfurt. The application for the initial EUROPEADA 2020 was submitted jointly by the Council of Carinthian Slovenes / Narodni svet koroških Slovencev, the Slovenian Sports Association / Slovenska športna zveza and the Province of Carinthia.

The record winners of the EUROPEADA are the Germanspeaking South Tyroleans. The men’s team has won all three titles so far, as has the women’s team, which won the first women’s tournament in 2016.

Na svetu ni nič močnejšega kot zamisel, za katero je (končno) napočil čas, da se uresniči. Ko smo pred dvema letoma sredi finalnih priprav na Europeado na Koroškem morali le-to odpovedati, nihče ni pričakoval, da bo to trajalo toliko časa, in nismo pričakovali, da vas bomo vse tako zelo pogrešali! Zato se pa tem bolj veselimo, da bo od 25. junija do 3. julija 2022 končno zaživela Europeada na Koroškem. Najtoplejše jezero v Evropi in prekrasna koroška pokrajina še vedno navdušujeta, športna društva pa še vedno kljubujejo vsem izzivom današnjega časa in so pripravljena na kakovostno ter brezhibno izvedbo nogometnega turnirja evropskih avtohtonih manjšin. Nogomet navdušuje in povezuje. S tem navdušenjem želimo organizatorji Evropskega nogometnega prvenstva narodnih skupnosti spodbujati zavest o manjšinah in raznolikosti v Evropi. Ogenj za ta povezujoči in veseli športni dogodek v naših srcih še vedno gori in pripravljeni smo na Europeado 2022! Vse sodelujoče ekipe, navijači in navijačice ter ljubitelji in ljubiteljice kulturne ter jezikovne raznolikosti ste prisrčno vabljeni na južno Koroško. Na četrto izvedbo Europeade se je prvotno prijavilo 31 ekip, 24 moških in sedem ženskih. Žal je zaradi trenutnih okoliščin nekaj ekip odpovedalo udeležbo. Na Europeadi se bodo srečale evropske avtohtone manjšine v vsej svoji raznolikosti – tako bo to evropsko nogometno prvenstvo prav poseben športni dogodek. Bistveni sestavni del Europeade je tudi kulturni dan, na katerem se bodo predstavile posamezne manjšine. Bei der EUROPEADA trifft eine lebendige Vielfalt alteingesessener Minderheiten aufeinander – das macht diese Fußball-EM zu einem besonderen sportlichen Großereignis. Fester Bestandteil der EUROPEADA ist auch ein Kulturtag, bei dem sich die einzelnen Minderheiten vorstellen. The EUROPEADA brings a great opportunity for long-established diverse minorities to meet - this is what makes this football championship a truly unique sporting event. An integral part of the EUROPEADA is the cultural day, on which the individual minorities will present themselves.

Europeado 2022 bomo začeli z velikim praznovanjem, na katerega bo povabljena vsa Europeadska družina. Od nedelje do torka so načrtovane skupinske tekme ženskega in moškega turnirja. V sredo bo potekal kulturni dan, ki bo nudil pogled na raznolikost jezikov, kultur in identitet. Ta program bodo oblikovale sodelujoče manjšine. S športnega vidika se bo turnir stopnjeval od četrtfinalnih tekem v četrtek preko polfinalnih tekem v petek, tja do finala, ki bo potekal v soboto. Okvirni program bodo oblikovala domača slovenska oz. dvojezična športna in kulturna društva.

Die EUROPEADA 2022 wird mit einem Willkommensfest eröffnet, zu dem die ganze EUROPEADA Familie eingeladen ist. Von Sonntag bis Dienstag sind die Gruppenspiele im Frauenund Männerturnier angesetzt. Der Mittwoch ist als Kulturtag gestaltet, der einen Blick auf die Vielfalt der Sprachen, Kulturen und Identitäten geben wird. Geboten wird ein buntes Programm, welches von den teilnehmenden

Aus sportlicher Sicht steigert sich das Turnier von den Viertelfinalspielen am Donnerstag über die Halbfinale am Freitag bis zum Finale am Samstag als mit Spannung erwarteten Höhepunkt des Turniers. Das Rahmenprogramm wird von lokalen slowenischen bzw. zweisprachigen Sport- und Kulturvereinen gestaltet. The EUROPEADA 2022 will open with a welcome party to which the entire EUROPEADA family will be invited. The groups part of the women’s and men’s tournament is scheduled to take place from Sunday to Tuesday. Wednesday will be dedicated to culture, giving an insight into the diversity of languages, cultures, and identities of participating minorities. A extensive program created by minorities will be offered. From the sporting point of view, the tournament will progress from the quarterfinals on Thursday to the semi-finals on Friday, and finally to the eagerly anticipated highlight of the tournament – the finals on Saturday. The supporting program will be organized by the local sports and cultural associations.
Diversity-Festival V sklopu Europeade bo na sporedu tudi festival raznolikosti (Diversity-Festival), na katerem se bodo mladi in mlade iz različnih manjšin v Evropi srečali ter se kreativno ukvarjali z aktivizmom pri manjšinah. Z geslom „Utopija“ želijo organizatorji_ce, Mladina evropskih avtohtonih manjšin (JEV) in Klub slovenskih študentk in študentov na Dunaju (KSŠŠD), spodbuditi udeleženc_ke, da kritično razmislijo o trenutnem stanju pri sebi in svojih manjšinah ter da oblikujejo svojo utopijo. Z ustvarjalnimi zborovskimi, plesnimi, filmskimi in lutkovnimi delavnicami želijo odkriti različne možnosti, kako lahko oblikujejo utopijo in spoznajo, kako jo pokazati svetu.

Europeada will also include the Diversity Festival, a meeting where young people from different minorities in Europe come together to explore creative approaches to minority activism. Under the title „Utopia“, the organizers, the Youth of Europe‘s Indigenous Minorities (JEV) and the Club of Slovenian Students in Vienna (KSŠŠD), want to encourage the participants to think critically about the current state of affairs, about themselves and their minorities, and to create their own utopia. Through creative workshops, they want to discover the different ways such a utopia can look and learn how to show their utopia to the world through workshops in dance, choral singing, film-making, and puppetry.

Ist-Zustand von sich selbst und ihren Minderheiten kritisch zu reflektieren und ihre Utopie zu entwerfen. Mit kreativen Workshops zu Gesang, Tanz, Film und Puppentheater sollen verschiedene Möglichkeiten entdeckt werden, wie eine solche Utopie aussehen kann und wie gelernt werden kann, diese der Welt zu zeigen.
