LUXEMBOURG. OUR COMMON GROUND.

Luxembourg is a place where cultures meet. It is one of the most diverse and inclusive countries in the world, with over 180 nationalities and an average of 3.6 different languages spoken per resident. Each one of them makes Luxembourg a common ground. And so could you. Let your journey start here.

HIn just two editions, Nexus Luxembourg has established itself as one of Europe’s most distinctive innovation gatherings. Far from being another anonymous mega-conference, it has deliberately chosen a boutique-style format that privileges substance over noise, human encounters over spectacle. And yet, the numbers already speak volumes: 8,452 registrations from 57 countries, 659 speakers — including 144 startup founders — 73 exhibitors, 284 formal matchmaking meetings, over 17,000 connections through the event app, and nearly a thousand guests at the Closing Seated Dinner. The ambition is clear: to place Luxembourg firmly on the global map of AI, technology, and innovation.

What makes Nexus Luxembourg unique is the diversity of its community. Government policymakers sit alongside established corporations, leading financial-centre players, dynamic SMEs, venture capital funds, technology experts, thought leaders, and an ever-growing contingent of startups and scale-ups. Students and researchers in AI, business, and tech mingle with executives and investors from across Europe and far beyond — from Asia to the Americas, from Africa to the Middle East. This breadth is both a strength and a challenge: each stakeholder arrives with distinct expectations, whether for policy debate, knowledge exchange, business development, or talent scouting. Nexus succeeds precisely because it embraces this complexity and builds bridges across it.

The goals are ambitious but concrete: to promote Luxembourg’s AI and innovation ecosystem by showcasing national programmes and smart city initiatives; to accelerate digital and AI transformation within industry, SMEs, and the financial sector; to attract foreign investment by encouraging international players to set up offices, research centres, and EU headquarters in Luxembourg; to generate leads and business growth for domestic corporations; to draw top international talent; and, ultimately, to deliver tangible visibility and development opportunities for partners and exhibitors.

Nexus Luxembourg is more than a conference. It is a catalyst — an accelerator of transformation and a platform for collaboration that reflects Luxembourg’s ambition to be at the crossroads of innovation worldwide.

JVP raises $1bn to support vertical AI in Europe

The announcement was made during the Nexus conference, where Coinbase’s EMEA VP Daniel Seifert praised Luxembourg’s regulatory clarity. Luxembourg will now host Coinbase’s European crypto hub, thanks to its supportive blockchain policies and innovation ecosystem. This marks a strategic shift after previous plans to base the MiCA hub in Dublin. The company is expanding, hiring 20 people in Luxembourg and strengthening its infrastructure services. With $9.9bn in reserves and 35% of revenue from non-trading sources, Coinbase is positioning itself as a key B2B financial player.

The Israeli-American fund JVP is planning a new $1bn fund to invest in growth companies applying AI to key sectors: finance, insurance, cybersecurity, climate or agriculture. Founder Erel Margalit at Nexus 2025 advocated for an ambitious European strategy, based on transatlantic cooperation and local centres of excellence, one of which could see the light of day in Luxembourg.

ZeroOps: The new digital wave in customer service

In today’s digital economy, customer expectations demand immediacy and seamlessness in every industry. This has led to the emergence of “ZeroOps” as a strategic ambition for customer service teams to optimize their operations.

In today’s digital economy, customer expectations demand immediacy and seamlessness in every industry. This has led to the emergence of “ZeroOps” as a strategic ambition for customer service teams to optimize their operations.

At its core, ZeroOps leverages agentic AI systems to create

self-managing environments. These AI agents handle operational tasks autonomously and ensure that technology infrastructure becomes virtually invisible. This enables client service teams to focus entirely on high-value customer interactions and relationship building, rather than managing technical complications.

ZeroOps is not about fully eliminating operations but about redefining operational strategy to limit human intervention to critical activities. This strategy boosts efficiency, agility, and performance, helping businesses operate at their highest potential.

ZeroOps’ competitive edge

The ZeroOps approach delivers value, both in terms of productivity and customer experience. As intelligent systems handle tasks previously managed by larger teams, customer service teams deploying this approach are saving costs on operations. Furthermore, ZeroOps strategy accelerates agility. Automated workflows and AI-driven orchestration typically helps organizations reduce wait time for implementing product features and fixes, fueling innovation and differentiation.

Finally, customer experience improves with proactive resolution of issues, transparency, and smoother journeys that help drive satisfaction and loyalty. It also helps increase net promoter scores (NPS), or the reported likelihood that the end user would recommend the product or service.

For transformation leaders, these aren’t just operational improvements but strategic enablers that fuel growth, accelerate innovation, and create the organizational agility necessary to thrive in today’s dynamic marketplace.

Ronan Vander Elst, Partner, Digital & Technology Consulting Leader

How ZeroOps works in practice

Traditional customer services involve case creation, classification, routing, document gathering, emails, escalations, and closure—all effective but slow, costly, and frustrating. With a ZeroOps approach , much of this cycle is automated and orchestrated by AI. Issues trigger cases automatically, classification and routing are instant, and documents are retrieved without effort. Customers get proactive updates rather than waiting. It is important to note that ZeroOps is not about removing people from the equation, but about human-AI collaboration . AI handles repetitive tasks at scale while humans step in only for complex cases needing empathy or negotiation. When they do, human agents receive full context and AI recommendations, enabling faster, more effective work.

The result is a win-win: real-time resolution for customers, higher-value interactions for employees, and stronger competitive advantage for organizations.

Leading the journey towards ZeroOps

Adopting a ZeroOps approach is a transformation program that touches strategy, people, and governance. For leaders, five considerations stand out:

— Regulatory compliance: Customer service teams must align ZeroOps with evolving regulations

around data privacy, customer protection, and AI use. Embedding compliance-by-design into every automated workflow ensures traceability, auditability, and human oversight when required.

— Cybersecurity and third-party risks:

As more workflows run on cloud platforms and interconnected systems, the attack surface grows. Companies must invest in resilient infrastructure, vulnerability testing, and real-time threat monitoring to safeguard customer data and preserve confidence.

— Job redesign and human value: As routine tasks vanish and employees focus on empathy and judgment, ZeroOps will require reskilling and cultural change.

— AI-first process redesign: Simply automating today’s workflows is not enough. Processes must be redesigned with an AI-first approach, removing unnecessary steps and embedding proactivity at the core.

— Technology is only part of the program: Tools and platforms account for just a part of the journey. Success depends on aligning teams around agility, prevention, and customer experience.

Conclusion

Implementing a successful ZeroOps approach takes time and is not affordable immediately to all customer service teams. Naturally, those that have already invested in SaaS-based customer engagement platforms are better positioned, as they can leverage the off-the-shelf AI agents increasingly embedded by vendors into their solutions, accelerating adoption and reducing costs.

Yet, ZeroOps is a balancing act: Organizations must unlock efficiency, agility, and experience while managing risks in compliance, security, and job redesign.

In summary, ZeroOps is more than a technological shift. It is about reimagining processes that start with AI at the core, combine automation with human judgment, and build trust through governance and resilience. For customer service leaders, the promise is clear: A model that prioritizes the reinforcing effects of efficiency, speed, and client experience—and where operations become invisible—brings the customer relationship to the forefront.

Supporting the competitiveness of European businesses

The global geopolitical environment has rarely been so volatile. The EU is therefore supporting the competitiveness of European businesses, especially in key sectors such as emerging technologies.

Through participation in Nexus 2050, the European Commission Representation in Luxembourg, the Directorate-General for the Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW), the Publications Office and the European Investment Fund as well as the European Commissioner Maria Luís Albuquerque and high level institutional speakers highlighted European Union initiatives to support companies specialising in new technologies, digitalisation and defence efforts.

almost EUR 372 billion in private investment by supporting investors and strengthening their capacity to absorb risks. A concrete example of this is the signature, in the margins of NEXUS, of a long-term partnership worth EUR 15 million between the European Commission, the European Investment Bank and Artec 3D. This funding will enable the company to develop its next generation 3D digitalisation technologies, as well as its 3D data processing algorithms. The operation supports key European innovation and technologies, thus making a very concrete contribution to the political priorities of the European Union.

Among the programmes presented was InvestEU. With a budget of EUR 26.2 billion, the InvestEU Fund aims to unlock Representation of the European

For the European Commission, the international audience of Nexus 2050 is also an opportunity to promote the initiative Choose Europe. Launched in May 2025, this campaign aims to attract highly qualified scientists, researchers and professionals to Europe. Technological and scientific progress not only support competitiveness, but also remove barriers to innovation.

From policymakers to industry pioneers, Nexus Luxembourg 2025 brought together a line-up of influential speakers from around the world.

Through keynotes and panel debates, they shared perspectives that not only captured the moment but also pointed to where we’re heading next.

Here are some of the standout moments from the experts who took the stage.

H.R.H The Crown Prince

“Nexus is rapidly establishing itself as Luxembourg flagship platform for showcasing cutting edge tech and our vibrant innovation ecosystem. And I must say I am sincerely proud of what we have been able to achieve in Luxembourg, a place that continues to prove that we can punch above our weight and earn recognition on the global stage.”

Luc Frieden

“AI cannot just remain as a theoretical thought. We need to apply it for businesses, for people, for governments, and for humanity. Therefore, we need partners from in and around Luxembourg. And with the strategic partnership with Mistral AI, we have embarked the process of identifying projects that can help the Luxembourg government to work better, faster, and also in the interest of all people.”

Arthur

“I don’t think that AI is going to change and remove jobs anytime soon. However, it does change the nature of the work that we need to be doing. What we see happening today is not really a replacement but more of a symbiosis between AI and humans.”

Xavier Bettel

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs

“ We believe that bridges are now more needed than ever. This country has got its success by its openness and by knowing that differences is a strength and not a weakness. So be part of the success story.”

Lydie Polfer

“In our city, technology is not just a project. It’s a strategy. Whether we are planning smart urbanization projects or integrating next generation chatbot into our citizen services, our goal remains the same. To make simply daily life more sustainable, more efficient and more inclusive for everyone.”

“AI is a global race. The winners will be those who act fast, think bold and build strong alliances. Luxembourg is ready to lead, to invest, and to act. But we can’t do it alone.”

“ We are probably one of the most aggressive companies to utilizing AI. Everybody in Rakuten Group is using AI and I am telling them, if they don’t use AI, they will probably lose their job in the very near future. So no AI, no job at Rakuten.”

“Crypto, I think is the most, you can now credibly say, the most efficient payment rail in the world. Payments are like water flowing to the path of least resistance. More and more payments are going to flow on stable coin rails over time. And we actually believe that the majority of transactions in the economy are eventually going to run on stable coin rails. So Coinbase is making a big push in this direction.”

Dr. James Peng

“I think in the last decade the whole industry (autonomous vehicle) focused on technology development. So, you can think of that as the stage for from zero to one. So we have now proven that autonomous driving is safe, comfortable and efficient. I think for the next five to 10 years, it’s all about scale.”

“Our vision is clear, to be a trusted partner for innovation where technology and talent come together to build smarter and a sustainable future. The role of Luxinnovation is to support you all along your innovation journey and help you to assess your innovation capacities to connect with the relevant partners and to fund your projects. We invite you to join us to explore new opportunities to collaborate together and to shape the world of tomorrow.”

“LLMs by GPT, Gemini, Mistral AI, is what everybody’s using and talking about today. Look at all the other AI models that are there—and not all of them are there—but most of you have never heard of knowledge graphs, convolutional neural networks. All those are also AI. And all those explain data and use data in a different way. When you merge that with the equations that govern our world that we know very well—of biology, of chemistry, of physics, of quantum physics—that’s when you get LQM, large quantitative models. These are models that tell you what we do, how we behave, how we do. And that’s what we do at Sandbox AQ in many different areas.”

Gilles Roth

“I envisage that our financial sector must be digital because the future is real time. Open, because innovation is global. Stable, because trust is our currency. Sustainable, because tomorrow depends on today. Ambitious, because Europe must lead again. And Strategic, because security and sovereignty now depend on economic strength. Finance has always been a tool. Let’s make it a tool for progress. Let’s make it work for founders, for fund managers, and future generations. Let’s build tomorrow today.”

“ Well, if you looked around, most of you are spending most of your days on social media. So is the rest of the world. There are 5 billion people around the world spending an average of 3 hours a day. And that most likely is an underrated stat because people don’t want to admit how long they’re spending on social media. So when you’re talking to brands and companies—there is no other place on the planet that you can get attention from that many people for that long. So it becomes less of a decision. It’s just a question of: why wouldn’t you take advantage of talking to your customers and your employees out there?”

“AI, data, decentralized technologies, cybersecurity are converging to form a new financial stability needed to drive innovation forward. But we must be bold and we must accelerate our efforts. That is why our work—and this event—are so important.”

Stéphanie Obertin

“To become a leader in digital transformation and in data, you need more than compute power or data volume. You need vision, coordination, and trust. And Luxembourg has all three. We are building a sovereign, ethical, and humancentric AI ecosystem—one that puts people first, protects rights, and empowers innovation. As the Prime Minister said a few weeks ago at the Charlemagne Prize festivities: Being sovereign means being self-confident. It means taking one’s own decisions, on one’s own terms, and based on one’s own values. Together, let us turn ambition into action.”

“ We at Wix think along one fundamental line—and that line is about making everything beautiful. A website is nothing more than a reflection of your identity online. Whether you’re using our products to have a presence or to run your business, it’s about how you choose to be portrayed. And beauty matters— because the moment someone lands on your page, they’re already judging you. We’ve learned over 15 years that if it’s not beautiful right away, people bounce. So the internet is ruthless. You’ve got half a second. That’s why at Wix, beauty, beauty, and beauty are the three key words.”

“Let’s start from the question—what is the weight of your car? One, one and a half tons? And your house? 150 tons on average. All our technosphere is too heavy. We change tires every few seasons, we drive alone in heavy cars—this is not efficient. If we truly want to lower our carbon footprint and improve energy efficiency, we must change the materials around us. In the age of artificial intelligence, we also need a real materials revolution—one focused on mechanical strength, energy density, and efficiency. That’s why materials like graphene nanotubes are essential. They are tiny— but they can change how entire industries function.”

FREO optimizes its IT needs thanks to DEEP

FREO has decided to centralize its IT services with DEEP. This streamlining ensures that the asset and real estate investment manager bene ts from higher quality service and reduced costs.

“Our objective was to entrust the IT management of all our European entities to a single partner. Since the group’s headquarters are located in Luxembourg, where our activities are regulated, it appeared natural to turn to a local player capable of meeting the compliance challenges of our sector (con dentiality, data location). DEEP quickly established itself as a trusted partner, able to meet our needs and provide tailored solutions to our challenges.”

In this context, FREO chose to outsource all of its IT management to DEEP, including data hosting, security, and access to o ce tools.

“The proposed solution, with the adoption of Microsoft 365 from DEEP’s cloud, fully met our requirements. DEEP distinguished itself

with advanced security solutions, which are true guarantees of trust. Our top priority is to ensure that our teams have continuous access to the data and tools they need to carry out their work.”

For FREO, it was essential to rely on a close partner, capable of intervening quickly in case of problems.

“DEEP ensured a secure migration from our former environment, which had been managed by another provider, to the new solution, without any service interruption. DEEP even sent teams abroad to set up the new environment directly alongside our employees. We also bene ted from highly responsive support services.”

DEEP also re-equipped all teams with laptops through a nancial leasing solution.

“Being able to rely on a single partner, recognized for the quality of its services and familiar with our needs, makes our lives much easier. This transformation has reduced our IT costs by about 50% compared to the previous situation, while delivering improved service. Today, we are ready to take on future challenges, especially the integration of AI at the core of our processes.”

The ROI of AI: How agents are delivering for business

Leading companies are moving beyond debating AI’s possibilities and are now using AI agents to drive measurable business value and achieve signi cant ROI by automating complex work ows.

The AI conversation has moved from potential to performance. Leading companies are capturing measurable value from AI agents that handle complex workflows. Google Cloud released the 2025 ROI of AI Report that shows 52% of executives are deploying AI agents, a fundamental shift in business.

AI is delivering – 74% of executives report achieving ROI within the first year. – 39% have deployed over 10 agents enterprise-wide.

– 39% reporting productivity gains have seen it at least double.

The AI story is evolving Enterprise AI is rapidly evolving. From large language models and platform conversations, we’ve moved to agentic workflows— customized, task-specific automation transforming core business processes. Creative, operational, and coding assistants are accelerating marketing, efficiency, and development cycles.

By 2026, models, platforms, and agents will blur into integrated systems, offering three key advantages:

1. Faster feedback loops – insights from agents inform better model development.

2. Unified platforms – complex networks combine models and agents.

3. New business models – companies create integrated solutions.

This means developers and business leaders must think in ecosystems. Agents are delivering measurable impact across industries, managing workflows previously requiring human intervention.

New Technologies = New Competencies?

On June 18th, IMS (Inspiring More Sustainability) held a conference in the Sigma Room named “Beyond Our Horizons: Expanding Digital Skills in Companies” which highlighted the importance of digital skills in this rapidly digitalising work that is strongly impacted by AI.

“Digital skills are of major strategic importance for the integration of AI in Luxembourg-based companies.”, stated Elisabeth Margue, the Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister for Media and Connectivity, during her opening speech. This becomes evident when analysing closer the statistics that Inès Baer, head of data, statistics & labour market studies at ADEM presented: in December 2024, the most job positions were offered in the domain of technology and information (n=203), whereas the highest amount of job searchers were specialised in administrative jobs (n =1990). This juxtaposition clearly illustrates the current skills gap.

Of course, AI is going to replace some of our jobs – it already is – but it is also going to create new ones. So, to adapt to this change, one must, now more than ever, improve current skills or learn new skills by focusing on increasingly important skills such as AI, cybersecurity or technological culture. Even more importantly, one must invest into the competencies that are transcendental, such as creativity, flexibility and lifelong learning. Those are the real competencies of the future, that will allow us to be prepared for the work revolution that is only getting started.

What’s next?

Introduction to the conference “Beyond Our Horizons: Expanding Digital Skills in Companies”

So, how do we manage this “skills gap”?

Most people see the gap as a threat, but what if we look at it as an opportunity?

Samuel Nowakowski, researcher in digital humanities at the University of Lorraine raised an important question: “What kind of society do we want to build with AI?”. At IMS Luxembourg, we help companies to manage the complexities of this question through our project New Tech Adaptation for Companies (NTAC). We strongly believe that digital skills are the key for an inclusive and environmentally sustainable application of this new technology.

In this second edition of the event, the Go International Business Meetings—organized by International Affairs in collaboration with the Enterprise Europe Network—facilitated over 300 B2B meetings through the matchmaking platform. This marks an impressive 50% increase compared to 2024, reflecting the growing momentum of the event in fostering business relationships beyond borders.

Ahead of the main event, on 16 June, a special pre-programme welcomed 26 foreign delegations from 21 countries. This initiative gave international companies an exclusive opportunity to experience Luxembourg’s dynamic economic landscape, cutting-edge innovation scene, and thriving startup ecosystem.

Celebrating a Decade of Innovation

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Luxembourg’s leading startup acceleration programme, Fit 4 Start, and for the second time, Nexus Luxembourg 2025 had the honour of hosting its highly anticipated graduation ceremony as the closing event of Day 1.

Fifteen promising startups took the stage at Nexus Luxembourg this year to celebrate their graduation after completing six months of intensive, tailored coaching.

Following a competitive selection and pitching process in autumn 2024, 20 startups were selected for participation in Fit 4 Start from 420 applications submitted by companies from nearly 70 different countries. This 15th edition supported projects across three categories: digital, healthtech and space.

The startups received six months of tailored coaching, as well as a grant of €50,000 each – subject to incorporation in Luxembourg – provided by the Ministry of the Economy. Those that go on to raise additional funding and hire at least two employees may be eligible for a further €100,000 in public support.

Launched in 2015 by the Ministry of the Economy, the programme is managed by Luxinnovation in partnership with Technoport, the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA), Luxembourg City Incubator, the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT), the House of Biohealth, the Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity, and LuxProvide. Since its inception, Fit 4 Start has attracted over 3,000 applications from startups around the world, making it one of Luxembourg’s flagship initiatives for innovation and entrepreneurship.

AI Excellence Awards

A Stellar Launch

One of the highlights of Day 1 at Nexus Luxembourg 2025 was the launch of the AI Excellence Awards, held right after the Fit 4 Start Graduation Programme. Organized by FEDIL, in collaboration with Luxinnovation and supported by the Chamber of Commerce, the awards were created to shine a spotlight on groundbreaking AI solutions driving Luxembourg’s economic, societal, and environmental progress.

The inaugural edition was graced by the presence of Jean-Louis Schiltz (Vice Chairman, FEDIL), Elisabeth Margue ( Minister of Justice, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister for Media and Connectivity, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister for Relations with Parliament), and Celine Tarraube (Adviser Digital and Innovation, FEDIL), underscoring the importance of innovation and policy support in advancing Luxembourg’s digital ambitions.

The ceremony marked the beginning of a new tradition— celebrating excellence in artificial intelligence across the country’s business and industrial landscape. For this first edition, the jury reviewed 55 applications and selected five outstanding winners across different categories—each representing the very best of how AI is shaping the future.

Start-up Hive & Demo Arena

An Avenue for Entrepreneurs

At Nexus Luxembourg 2025, innovation took center stage at the Start-up Hive and Demo Arena. Every participating startup—whether based in the Hive or showcasing at a destination pavilion—was given the spotlight to pitch their vision on the Demo Arena stage. With just three minutes per pitch, founders presented their best ideas before a distinguished jury.

In collaboration with Startup Luxembourg , the Demo Arena became a truly global showcase. Over 145 startups from across the world—spanning the UAE, USA, UK, India, South Korea, Japan, Morocco, Germany, France, Belgium, and beyond— stepped forward to share their solutions. Notably, more than 65% of participants hailed from outside Luxembourg , highlighting the event’s international reach and appeal.

The jury evaluated each pitch on novelty, preparation, and delivery skills, ensuring that every entrepreneur had a fair chance to shine. For many founders, this was not just about competition but also about visibility—an invaluable platform to connect with investors, peers, and potential partners on a global stage.

With its constant buzz and energy-packed pitches, the Demo Arena turned out to be one of the most dynamic spaces at Nexus Luxembourg 2025.

Startup Luxembourg is a public initiative financed by the Ministry of the Economy. It is managed by Luxinnovation, Luxembourg’s national innovation agency, and supported by the national startup ecosystem.

Connecting Tomorrow: Six Dimensions of Connectivity

At Nexus 2050, MyConnectivity’s “Connecting Tomorrow” united 16 experts for a brisk tour of six dimensions of connectivity: wireless, fibre, quantum, satellite, cloud, and impact, shaping the connected future.

Jim Kent, the moderator of the event Connecting Tomorrow 2025, which was held during Nexus Luxembourg.

Connectivity moves fast. That reality framed “Connecting Tomorrow,” an afternoon side event at Nexus 2050 where 16 experts outlined six dimensions shaping the networks we rely on. The message: connectivity is an ecosystem of infrastructure, policy and people, not just a race for speed.

Minister Delegate Elisabeth Margue saluted Luxembourg’s standing while urging continued ambition.

MyConnectivity CEO Julien Larios introduced a programme showing how emerging infrastructure can reshape daily life and create opportunities for business and society.

Seamless (wireless):

LIST’s Dr Sébastien Faye mapped flagship 5G/6G research and AI testbeds; Proximus’ Julien Baudouin contrasted low-power NB-IoT with real-time 5G Standalone; Vodafone’s Steven Pater showed how standardised network APIs turn telecom capabilities into developer-ready services.

Velocity (fixed):

POST’s Christophe Leytem and Marc Bertemes set out the path to “AI-ready”

fibre and more autonomous operations, while Plum’s Benoît Felten and Connect Europe’s Alessandro Gropelli examined long-haul resilience and the need to deregulate, scale and innovate.

Possibility (quantum):

Rudy Stranen presented LUQCIA within a national strategy to be quantum-ready; Fraunhofer’s Dr Torsten U. Siebert highlighted QuNET’s field demos and space readiness for Eagle-1; LIST’s Dr Florian Kaiser introduced the Quantum Internet Alliance and quantum repeaters for verifiable long-distance links.

Infinity (space):

SnT’s Dr Konstantinos Ntontin detailed satellite–ground integration, while SES’s Philippe Glaesener explained Europe’s IRIS² multi-orbit approach combining GEO, MEO and LEO for resilient services.

Catalyst (datacentres & cloud): Reliability and sustainability took centre stage, from the sovereign Luxembourg Cyber Defence Cloud (Yves Schmit) to greener, AI-ready

hyperscale infrastructure (Kurt Rommens, Google Cloud).

Impact (people):

In a fireside conversation, Amy Peck (EndeavorXR) and Fedra Fateh (AI Art Lab) considered how to meet rising digital demand responsibly, noting that technology only matters if it serves human needs and values.

In four hours, Connecting Tomorrow sketched where Luxembourg stands and where Europe is heading: wireless with fibre, quantum for security, satellites complementing terrestrial links, and clouds and data centres built for sovereignty, sustainability and ethical purpose.

MyConnectivity has published a summer series on its website with weekly articles and videos about each dimension.

A Night to Remember…

…With Plates, People and Purpose

The Nexus Luxembourg 2025 experience concluded in style with a seated gala dinner that brought together over 900 guests for a celebratory evening of connection, conversation, and recognition. Guests were treated to a refined three-course menu curated by renowned chef Julien Cliquet , in an atmosphere that reflected both the prestige and energy of the event.

The Closing Seated Dinner provided a unique and intimate networking opportunity, allowing guests to:

– Meet decision-makers in finance, technology, AI, and government

– Engage in meaningful discussions on the future of innovation and sustainability

– Build strategic partnerships in a relaxed and exclusive environment

A heartfelt thank you to our evening sponsors—Wix, Banque de Luxembourg , and NTT Data —for making this special moment possible.

…That Ended on a High Note

And the evening didn’t end with dessert: the mood shifted from elegant to electric as former international footballer Djibril Cissé took the stage for a high-energy DJ set , turning the dinner into a memorable after party that closed Nexus 2025 on a high note.

Yneuro Named Start-up of the Year

French neurotechnology start-up Yneuro took home the title of Start-up of the Year at the Nexus Closing Seated Dinner 2025, beating out more than 145 competitors who pitched at the Demo Arena.

The award came with €25,000 in prizes, including €10,000 in cash, plus an invitation to return for Nexus Luxembourg 2026 with a free stand and flight. The award was handed over in front of a packed room of more than 950 guests by Cécile Lorenzini, Head of Marketing and Communication at Luxinnovation.

Who is Yneuro?

Founded in 2019 at Station F in Paris, Yneuro is building technology that blends biometric authentication, neural signal processing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.

Their main product, NeuroID®, uses a person’s brainwaves— what they call a “neural signature”— to verify identity. Instead of typing passwords or scanning fingerprints, users can log in securely with signals picked up by lightweight neural sensors.

BAmong the 350 students, a selected group of students from over 30 universities across 14 countries took part in a guided company tour on June 19—the day after the main Nexus exhibitions—designed to deepen their exposure to Luxembourg’s professional landscape. Divided across two buses, they visited the  headquarters of their sponsoring organizations: Deloitte, Banque de Luxembourg, POST Luxembourg, and AG2R La Mondiale.

The experience went beyond a traditional campus visit. Students met with company leaders, explored workspaces, and got a first-hand taste of each firm’s corporate culture and innovation agenda. Informal networking moments and engaging conversations helped create a meaningful, human connection between future talent and potential employers. Could this be the first step toward their future careers in Luxembourg?

The Bank of Tomorrow – A 2035 Vision

By 2035, banking will be invisibleseamlessly embedded in daily life. Car approving its own insurance claim, salaries tokenized into digital assets, or wearable’s securing micro-loans— all without visiting a branch or opening an app.

Pankaj highlights how banking is evolving beyond traditional walls.

The future of banking is being shaped by three powerful forces: technology, regulation, and customer expectations. Artificial Intelligence and quantum computing will make risk models real-time and adaptive. Blockchain will simplify cross-border payments to the ease of sending a text. Regulators will continue balancing innovation with trust, ensuring stability in an increasingly decentralized world. Most importantly, customers— especially Gen Z and Gen Alpha— will demand banking that feels as intuitive and personalized as Spotify or Netflix. By 2035, UI-less banking will become the norm. Just as conversational AI transformed how we access knowledge, banking will move beyond screens and apps. You won’t “log in” anymore—you’ll converse with an intelligent assistant that understands your goals, risk appetite, and intent, acting

securely and transparently on your behalf.

In this shift, trust becomes the ultimate currency. Customers will judge banks not by the look of their apps or branches, but by reliability, fairness, and ethical use of data. The winners will be those who blend innovation with integrity, ensuring automation never compromises transparency.

Some predictions are bold but inevitable. By 2035, cash will vanish—replaced by Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and tokenized assets that make every transaction traceable, programmable, and instant. Banks will no longer limit themselves to financial products; they’ll compete with lifestyle brands—offering wellness subscriptions, travel memberships, or even digital identity management as part of their core services. Tomorrow’s customers won’t separate financial life from personal

life—they’ll expect it all in one seamless experience.

The very definition of a “bank ” will expand. Imagine a mortgage that includes renewable energy credits, furniture subscriptions, or access to community services. Banks will evolve into experience platforms, competing with tech giants, super-apps, and lifestyle ecosystems.

Yet, one constant remains: people still need a safe place for their money and their dreams. The banks that thrive in 2035 will be those that serve as both custodians of trust and creators of experiences - defining, not just surviving the future.
