The CNY celebration at school was a spectacular showcase of culture and tradition! All of us wore traditional clothes and took part in a wonderful drum performance and a beautiful ribbon dance. The music and movements made everyone cheer and clap loudly. It was a moment we won’t forget!
The celebration was further enriched by delightful spread of festival dishes, including Wu Fu Lin Men, a symbolic delicacy representing the five blessings: longevity, wealth, health, virtue, and a peaceful ending. Each dish served added to the warmth and prosperity of the occasion.

We got chance to make Tang Yuan on the 15th day of CNY. It was so much fun rolling them into tiny round balls! We needed patience and teamwork to shape them properly. After we finished making them, we were so happy—and eating the Tang Yuan was the best part!

I'm from the United Kingdom, and I'm glad I got to be part of this celebration. There was amazing food, vibrant performances, and lively drum beats that made the whole event feel exciting and full of energy. The ketupat making process was quite difficult, as it was my first time weaving and filling it with rice grains — but it was a fun challenge!

One of the drum performances I did for Hari Raya was called "Èrshísì Jiélìng Gǔ." I was a little nervous but also happy. The ketupat I made with my teachers and friends was delicious!

Our indoor activities were full of fun and energy! We played Bingo, acted out charades, did role plays, read poetry using hand puppets, and took part in Show and Tell. Everyone had a great time — we laughed a lot, especially during funny actions and performances. Winning felt exciting, and some of us even got hungry during role play when the topic was food! (Mine was a big burger — it made everyone smile!)

During Show and Tell, students confidently spoke and shared all kinds of interesting things. It was a great way to learn more about each other and build speaking skills in a fun way.

OUTDOOR HIGHLIGHTS:

For our next outdoor activity, every student had the chance to sing Englishsongs—bothin solos and group performances. Everyone participated and showed their beautiful voices on stage.
Our outdoor activities were more than just fun — they taught us important lessons about teamwork, confidence, andstayingpositive. During the treasure hunt, we had to communicate, plan, and support each other to find all the clues. It reallyshowedhowteamworkmakes a difference. Being outside, laughing with friends, and solving challenges together made it an unforgettable experience.
Snake and Ladders was another highlight. Sometimes I won, sometimesIlost—butIlearnedthat losing is okay. It’s just a game, and the most important thing is to enjoy playing with friends. Even if you land on a snake, don’t be sad — just tryagainandkeepgoing!

It was great to see students becoming more confident as they sang in front of others. Even the Primary 1 students sang bravely and joyfully, proving that age doesn’t stop youfromshining!

As a student, I had the chance to express what Malaysia means to me through my artwork.
I focused on our national identity and the beauty of our three main cultures — Malay, Chinese, and Indian. From traditional outfits to cultural symbols, my drawing celebrates the harmony and diversity that make Malaysia special. It was more than just an art project. It was a way to show my pride in who we are.

The pancake making activity was really fun, and I learned a lot. Making pancakes is actually quite easy — it just needs a few ingredients like flour, eggs, milk, and butter, which we can easily find at home. My friends and I enjoyed our pancakes with ice cream, jam, and even peanut butter. They were so yummy! I usually eat pancakes at home with peanut butter and chocolate, so it was fun to try new toppings too.

One of our favorite indoor activities was making bookmarks. It was fun, colorful, and a good way to express our creativity. Students used different materials and designs to make their bookmark. This activity didn’t just let us be creative — it also taught us how to turn simple ideas into something useful. Best of all, we can sell our bookmarks during Kidspreneur Day in August.

TO APR 2025
I felt nervous when I was on stage during the Hari Raya performance. For a moment, I thought I had forgotten my lines — but I took a deep breath, tried my best, and kept going!
It was my first time doing a Malay sketch, and I was really happy to be part of it. I think the audience enjoyed it too.
At our school, we learn by doing. Our teachers say this is called active learning. Like Confucius said, “Isn’t it a joy to learn and keep practicing what you’ve learned?” (Xué ér shí xí zhī, bù yì yuè hū?)
I hope you enjoyed reading this edition. We can’t wait to share more of our celebrations and activities with you next time!
