COLÁITSE BRÍDE NEWSLETTER A word from Ms. Ronan... Dear Parents and Guardians, As we approach the midterm break it is extraordinary to see the big picture here in Coláiste Bríde. So much has been achieved since we reopened our doors on Aug 24th. Teaching and Learning is well and truly back in action, and it is wonderful to see classrooms as such hives of activity. Some third-year students recently travelled to Italy on a cultural exchange, for some it was their first time on a plane, this truly was an experience of a lifetime. This week our 2nd Year students, as part of our College for Every Student Programme, visited Trinity College. For many it was their first time to walk under the arch, this is where seeds are planted and college knowledge is created. Our TY students have had so many different learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom, this is what memories are made of. Our Guidance, SEN and SNA Teams have been beavering away working with those who need a little extra support. Re-adjusting, transitioning, and holding those who need a safe space to be. This, we believe, is such valuable work. 1st Years have been involved in Jack & Jill Fundraising events, it is wonderful to see the empathy and drive our students have to give back and help those less fortunate. These students are learning from wonderful role models. Maths week was yet again a resounding success. Making maths fun and bringing it to life with a healthy dose of competition is what makes learning fun in CB. 1st year Bonding Day

Our ASF Team, Learning Leaders, Multi-Cultural Club – are doing spectacular work collaborating together. This is how students develop leadership skills and feel that they are active members of their own school community, using their voice to bring about positive change. Our extra-curricular timetable is a sight to behold - there is something for everyone and I encourage everyone to get involved. It is wonderful to see the school busy again both at lunch and after school. Our teachers are going one step beyond to make connections and build relationships outside the classroom.
