COLÁISTE BRÍDE Easter Newsletter - April 2023
A word from Ms. Lawlor... The end of this term is always accompanied by a sense of renewal and growth. The spring flowers and brighter days add to the colours of the building. But it is the people that transform our building into a school! Can I congratulate students on their hard work and dedication in the classroom. It is important that this continues for the final term as we prepare for summer assessment, time is certainly flying by. A huge well done to our soccer, volleyball, basketball and Gaelic teams who represent us so well in competitive games and to our students who are active in the various extracurricular clubs and different themed weeks – your involvement and commitment allows these experiences to flourish for all students. Be proud of your accomplishments. It has been wonderful to hear from the many visitors (including our Italian exchange guests) to the school how well behaved and welcoming our students are. This is echoed by the people who meet them on trips outside of school. This term trips included tours of Leinster house, Trinity college, Microsoft, Bowling, Rua Red in Tallaght and the wonderful Emmanuel Concert in DCU. Thank you, it is you the students who are the best ambassadors for Coláiste Bríde. Well done to our 6th years who have just completed their LC Oral exams, I'm sure you did great! Congratulations to those who have completed their state practical exams and CBAs. Thanks to our parents for their ongoing support. We have always maintained that it is in partnership with parents that our students can learn best. It has been lovely to meet many of you at the PTMs, student showcases and information nights. We send our thoughts to staff and students who have lost loved ones over the last few months. As a school community we are here to support you. Finally, we wish everyone a happy and peaceful Easter break. The final term is a busy one so take the chance to rest, reflect and prepare. Thank you to everyone in our school community for all they do – everyone plays a role in our school and we appreciate your support and dedication. Annachtaí na féile na Casca daoibh go léir.
