Over £64,000 donation for OCT scanner A new OCT scanner (Optical Coherence Tomography) has been purchased by the Friends of Blandford Community Hospital to help provide a comprehensive ophthalmic service to patients from Blandford and the surrounding areas. It will improve the quality of care and ease of patient access to the investigation for conditions such as glaucoma, retinal degeneration and diabetic retinopathy from very early stages, helping to diagnose, monitor and prevent further deterioration.
