'Thick Air' is an intensive 2-week elective course that engages with a series of practical exercises that demonstrates and explore colour instability, action, deception and prejudices.
The structure of this program is designed around the pedagogical approach of Josef Albers, who taught at both the Bauhaus and Black Mountain. His model is, however, reinterpreted for this architecture specific program.
During the practical exercises it has heightened my awareness to sensory relationships and scales. Through these exercises, research and results were attained and is then used to design a series of colour spaces that is build on this newfound awareness, demonstrating the use of colours as tools of architecture.
