Beijing 2022. In just 30 days, the Olympic Winter Games will kick off in Beijing. And Beijing will become the first city in the world that hosts both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games. Olympics, a grand event for mankind, is a stage for athletes of all countries to leap over the boundaries of countries, civilizations, races, and religions, to compete and realize breakthroughs together. In face of the continuous Covid-19 pandemic, the slow recovery of world economy, and other global challenges, we see the even more precious value of the Olympic motto, "Faster, Higher, Stronger - Together". The official slogan for Beijing 2022 is “Together for a shared future”. With this spirit, I believe that the 2022 Winter Olympics will inject more confidence and hope for all countries to enhance friendship, and to join hands in defeating challenges. Here I would like to express gratitude to the Government and people of Sri Lanka, in particular to the Ministry of Youth & Sport, and the NOC Sri Lanka, for their firm support to Beijing 2022. China will step up efforts, and join hands with the international community, to bring a “simple, safe, splendid” Winter Olympics to the world. Even though we are in the hug of the Indian Ocean, being neighbor to the equator, I believe that the Beijing 2022 will transport our passionate Sri Lankan friends to a world of ice and snow, for a charming rendezvous of winter sports. Let us wish the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games a complete success!

we were able to watch the opening ceremony of the world's unique sports festival on television. That is Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. Our association believes that this is a very colorful and historical sports festival. Beijing Winter Olympic is not just an ordinary sporting event but a sport event that shows the world, responsibility, determination, strength and civility of a civilized country. At the opening ceremony of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics we saw the scientific and technological advancement of China as well as harmonious cultural power The Beijing Winter Olympic Games symbolize China's strength to do well to the world under any circumstances and determination to preserve the Olympic spirit, no matter what the challenges may be. “Chatting About China Pakistan Friendship and Good Wishes for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games” To celebrate 70 years of the establishment of Pakistan-China Diplomatic relations, a special award ceremony for winners of the Short Video Competition on the theme of “Chatting About China Pakistan Friendship and Good Wishes for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games” was organized on January 30th 2022 at Pakistan Olympic House, Lahore by Pakistan Olympic Association in partnership with All Pakistan-China Friendship Association. The Pakistan Youth came up with unique ideas and created fabulous videos to felicitate Chinese people for Beijing 2022 and celebrate the friendship of the people of Pakistan and China. The students translated their emotions into videos and have sent their good wishes for the success of the Beijing 2022. Lt. Gen (R) Syed Arif Hasan, President Pakistan Olympic Association welcomed the students, their teachers and esteemed guests from various sections of societies. He said that Olympism strongly promotes all the forms of the arts and therefore it is included in the Olympics Values Education Program. He thanked the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan and All Pakistan-China Friendship Association for initiating the idea of Short Video Competition. He remarked Beijing 2022 as a milestone in Olympic History as Beijing will be the only city organizing both the Summer and Winter Olympics. In his keynote address, H.E. Nong Rong, Ambassador of China in Pakistan congratulated the winners and all participants of this video competition. The year 2022, he said, is auspicious as the two grand events - 70 years of Pakistan China Diplomatic Relations and the upcoming Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games will further strengthen the iron-clad

The world is entering a new period of turbulence and transformation and facing multiple challenges to humanity. Today the world is facing a disastrous pandemic. Our efforts should be directed at overcoming the challenges of the world together. The Winter Olympics is also one of the said challenges. Many countries and nations of the world are united in the success of the Winter Olympics, which I would like to mention is also an opportunity to overcome these challenges and obstacles. Olympics, a grand event for mankind, is a stage for athletes of all countries to leap over the boundaries of countries, civilizations, race, and religion, to compete and realize breakthroughs together.
