ABOUT HER WORK

AIKO HONMA

Aiko Honma began painting with oils in 2017, but her love for art has accompanied her throughout her life In her works, she gives form to emotions and to the landscapes of her imagination, moving between faithful expression and the joy of free creation When her vision does not follow the path she intends, she lets herself be guided by favorite motifs, flowing curves, and luminous colors, allowing painting itself to become an act of discovery

From childhood, she was enchanted by art books and craft manuals, spending long hours immersed in pages where streams of water and melting colors unfolded like endless stories That early fascination grew into a practice centered on freedom, beauty, and the dialogue between inner and outer worlds Her paintings carry a wish for peace Each work is imbued with the hope that it may touch those who encounter it, offering a glimpse into her poetic universe Through her art, she aspires to contribute, even in the smallest way, to the creation of a more harmonious and peaceful civilization

ABOUT HER WORK

AKI

Francis Akpata’s initial foray into art began in childhood, when he enjoyed drawing comics and portraying superheroes such as Spiderman and the Incredible Hulk He later turned to painting figures from Star Wars, like Darth Vader, placing them in imagined settings such as deserts and mountains From an early age, he continually retreated into this creative world, using it as a space to depict any subject that captured his interest As a teenager, while painting a seaside scene, he chose to render the river and sky in green His fellow students regarded the work as awkward, yet his tutor compared it to an impressionist painting This moment sparked his interest in studying the history of artistic movements such as Impressionism, Expressionism, and Cubism Akpata went on to study philosophy at King’s College London, focusing on aesthetics His research explored the theories of Immanuel Kant, Friedrich Hegel, and Friedrich Schiller Following graduation, he continued his artistic training by attending life drawing and painting courses at the City Literary Institute In his practice, Akpata is primarily concerned with the concept of the sublime The sublime is understood as something unusual that surprises the viewer and redirects perception, whether physically or conceptually It is invoked when an artwork expands the imagination and pushes thought beyond ordinary expectations or calculations, compelling reflection before comprehension Kant identified three categories of the sublime the noble, the splendid, and the terrifying and further distinguished its forms as “mathematical” and “dynamical ” A painting becomes sublime when it forces the viewer to reflect, much as the Impressionists, Surrealists, and Fauvists did when they introduced entirely new genres of artistic expression

ABOUT HIS WORK

A R I S A . T N

Her work is rooted in the concept: “If there s a hole, I want to peek inside!” A hole stands quietly, embodying contradictions, hope and fear, light and darkness, coexisting in silent tension Drawn to this enigmatic presence, she translates its allure into her artistic expression She once learned from a specialist that this impulse to peer into holes has deep origins Since ancient times, humans, in their quest for survival, sensed that a hole might conceal prey, something unknown, something to discover This expectation, mingled with unease, became imprinted in our DNA, a primal instinct still alive within us Realizing that the excitement and thrill of looking into a hole is part of an ancient inheritance filled her with awe What a beautiful thought, that such sensations connect us to our ancestors across time Through her art, she seeks to awaken this instinctive memory, inviting viewers to experience that timeless spark of wonder and anticipation

Arisa.TN

A B O U T H E R W

O R K

Curiosity is an invisible force that moves us from childhood, a primal impulse urging us to look beyond, to probe what is not immediately visible It is not merely the desire to know, but the drive to explore what lies beneath the surface of things, to be drawn toward the unknown, to allow oneself to be questioned by mystery. In Arisa.TN’s art, this tension becomes visible: every form, every color, every material can conceal layers of meaning, small secrets waiting to be discovered The attraction to the enigmatic, the impulse to lift the veil of appearances, becomes a universal language, an invitation to partake in a shared act of discovery This desire to explore and understand is at once intimate and collective: it touches ancient chords that belong to each of us, an instinctive memory connecting us to our own capacity for wonder. Every creative gesture can awaken this tension, transforming the act of observing into a sensory and emotional journey, where questions and anticipation intertwine with perception and imagination Art, in this sense, is never complete: it is an invitation to continue questioning, to continue discovering, to remain open to surprise Every aesthetic experience becomes a moment of active participation, an opportunity to awaken the desire to know and comprehend the world in depth. Thus, curiosity becomes the invisible thread linking creator and observer, memory and future, surface and depth, a bridge toward new possibilities of discovery and wonder

ABOUT HIS WORK

BARBARA BERTONCELLI

I was born in March 1972 and live in S Cesario, in the province of Modena Since childhood, I have loved filtering the world through the lens of a camera I used to photograph clouds and their transformations in the sky, playing with fantastical pareidolia and arguing with my mother over the frivolous use of film, which was too expensive to waste on clouds Today, I am a psychiatrist, and while my background compels some ironic selfreflection, my curiosity about the world outside myself remains a powerful attraction I am intrigued by the human being in its many internal and external facets, which I observe with both wonder and disillusionment from multiple perspectives I press my eye to the viewfinder and see the world in my own way, striving to capture the spontaneity of people and things in the moments of their natural poses- -composed or disordered-to grasp a deeper essence beyond the body, the face, the attire, and the bearing Things, objects, and the material man has imposed on the earth-sometimes adorning it with beauty, other times leaving it occupied by matter that degrades and decays under the transformation of time-are angles of vision that captivate me

The post-processing of my images, when I do it, is limited to adjusting contrasts and color highlights, done directly and exclusively through the camera For now-and I don't foresee changing my mind | neither know nor wish to learn how to use computer-based photo editing programs I am not a photographer-l would do a disservice to professional photographers by calling myself one but I use the photographic medium to capture a unique, unrepeatable, and unusual moment from reality and turn it into a painting

ERIKA NOJIRI

Erika Nojiri is a Japanese painter and video editor whose work critically engages with social trends and contemporary culture From a young age, she found freedom and expression in drawing, discovering a unique visual language through the layering of fine spiral lines This signature motif, developed during her graduate studies, allows her to explore the tension between individual desire and social conformity Growing up in a society with a strong collective consciousness, Erika experienced the constraints of unspoken rules and the pressure to conform, which she channels into her art as a means to assert personal voice and navigate complex emotions Her style blends semiabstract forms with influences drawn from historical Japanese visual traditions, including Heian-era picture scrolls and Edo-period Nishiki-e, merging ancient visual storytelling with contemporary themes Erika’s works often feature human figures, organs, and symbolic elements, emphasizing the fragility of perception, the ambiguity of reality, and the interplay between truth and deception Concentric pencil lines layered on pigment, paper, and mixed media create a visual rhythm that guides viewers through an immersive and reflective experience Erika has held solo exhibitions such as Odoro Odoro (2019, Tokyo), Scab Lines (2023, Tokyo), Body Memory (2024, Tokyo), and Enlarged Tongue (2025, Tokyo), and has participated in international group exhibitions in Milan, Paris, London, Hong Kong, and Brisbane Her work has been recognized with awards including the Gekkan Bizyutsu Art Newcomers Award (2020), the Salon de lArt Japonais Grand Prix (2022, Paris), and shortlist placements at the London International Creative Competition (2021, 2024) Through her art, Erika Nojiri examines the relationship between perception, memory, and societal constructs, offering a contemplative space where personal and collective experiences intersect, revealing both the fragility and resilience of the human spirit

"Ce que jaime dans la peinture, c 'est que tu peux tout faire Tu peux même peindre ce qui n 'existe pas " I was born in 1972 in Toulouse France After 5 years of studying Visual Arts, I decided in 1998 to create my first paintings entitled Pigments and Wavelengths The concept being to bring together two kinds of colors which vary depending on the intensity of the light, whether natural or artificial. The pigments I use when painting, and the wavelengths in the form of adhesives, which diffract light like a prism, create kinetic colors on which the light undulates on my paintings My source of inspiration is my hometown “Toulouse, the pink city in the southwest of France, is known worldwide for being the capital of aeronautics Indeed, the city is home to the headquarters of Airbus, one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world, as well as many other companies in the aeronautics and space sector ” The movements and gestures come to me from Action Painting and the Zen of Asian painting Design and production of the Tour de France Cycling Trophy, Carcassonne stage Mexico Antik decor permanent exhibition M A D S Art Gallery: Milan, Fuerteventura, Barcelona La Pedrera Gaudi House Effetto Arte Russo, Palermo, Italy Carrousel du Louvre, Paris, France Borghese Palace, Florence Contemporary Art Museum, Barcelona, Spain Palais Palffy, Vienne Autriche

ABOUT HER WORK

Chen’s palette is the true protagonist of her practice Behind each animal stretches a field of color that is never mere background but the breath of the subjectitself.Ahazeofpinkenvelopsthe red panda, casting it into a dreamlike cocoon of serenity; indigo shadows swallowtheowls, turningtheirgazeinto sparks of curiosity and mystery; golden or pale greens wash across the habitats of deer and muntjac, dissolving contour into atmosphere. The effect is a metaphysical one: color functions as a medium of transition, transporting the viewer from the visible animal into the invisible mood that surrounds it Light, too, ischargedwithsymbolicresonance Sometimes it descends gently, caressing the tender fur of cubs, almost maternal initsembrace.Atothertimesitfractures the canvas into zones of passage: in the Reindeer, distinct layers of chromatic space,blue-greenvoid,crimsonsky,pale realm of withering ferns, transform the animal into a voyager crossing thresholds of life and death, reality and dream. Chen’s light is not external illumination but a narrative force, a voice that articulates the fragility, vitality, and mystery of each being One ofthedefiningfeaturesofChenIChun’s art is the suspension of time. Even the most dynamic animals, the Labrador running across water, the Border Collie leaping for a ball, are caught at the precise instant when action is about to transformintomemory

Tree bark flows like calligraphy; rocks reduce to chromatic planes;grassesshimmerasifpaintedbythewind itself.Thisoscillationallowstheanimaltoemerge with heightened clarity, suspended against a background that is both real and dreamlike In this way, Chen inherits elements of East Asian aesthetics. suggestion, emptiness, atmospheric depth, while also embracing Western oil painting’srichnessoftextureandluminosity Her language is hybrid, trans-cultural, and unmistakably her own. To dwell with Chen’s Fauna series is to sense that beneath the charm liesadeepermelancholy Theinnocenceofcubs, theplayfulnessofowlets, theserenityofdeerare always shadowed by vulnerability. Backgrounds often darken into mystery, colors whisper of fading, and compositions hover at the edge of disappearance. The viewer is invited not only to delight in beauty but to recognize its precarity. The works thus perform a dual gesture: they celebrate life while mourning its fragility This double resonance elevates Chen’s art beyond the anecdotal into the universal. Her animals are at once themselves, specific, tender beings, and symbols of the finite pulse of existence Each painting is a reminder that to see a creature is alsotofacethepossibilityofitsabsence, andthat art can both console and awaken responsibility ChenIChunemergesasapainteroflivinglight,a visionary who translates the pulse of fauna into chromatic atmospheres of tenderness and depth Her works are not simple depictions of animals but visual philosophies of coexistence They revealthatempathycanbeaform, thatlightcan narrate, thatcolorcanbreathe, andthatanimals canserveasmirrorsofourownlonging, fragility, and responsibility The Fauna series, when contemplated as a whole, constitutes not only a celebrationofcreaturesgreatandsmallbutalsoa meditation on what it means to share the world with them. It is a theatre where innocence and wilderness, play and solemnity, presence and disappearance coexist in luminous equilibrium

To enter Chen’s universe is to rediscover that everygaze, humanoranimal, carrieswithinitthe poetry of life itself, asking to be remembered, cherished, andpreserved

SERHII KALAHUR

Born in Kadiivka, Luhansk region, Ukraine (1987), now based in Kyiv With a background in 3D graphics and visual design, I developed my practice outside of academic art institutions, moving from experiments with digital tools and analog painting to a personal language that merges photography, glitch aesthetics, and obsession with architecture My work is rooted in blackand-white glitch photography, where architecture becomes both a structure and a portrait of collective character I use mobile photography, negative conversion, and collage with 3D elements to build fractured cityscapes that reflect the atmosphere of despair, death, and displacement brought by war All my images are unique and real some visualize distortions of perception, while others depict buildings already scarred by destruction, forming a monochrome background of hopelessness I study the balance between perfect symmetry and absolute deformation, much like Dalí explored the tension between the soft and solid state of matter In my works, concrete can appear as fragile and pliable as it is rigid and immovable, becoming both shelter and threat Glitch here is more than a technique it is a visual record of how perception collapses under the weight of trauma, while architecture itself embodies both resilience and ruin

KENNY R.K.

Kenny R K is a Japanese artist who mainly works with pastel on paper and illustration boards, and occasionally with oil on canvas He grew up in a rural area in northern Japan, in a family of modest means His artistic talent emerged early: in the second grade of elementary school, he won a prize at a national childrens painting contest He did not initially pursue a career in art Instead, he focused on building a high-level academic and professional career, while also dedicating himself to equestrian sports, accumulating about 19 years of experience and competing in national tournaments

Although he occasionally painted during high school and throughout his business career, he never seriously entered the art world At the age of 50, his desire to create became irresistible, and he began to study and practice painting seriously A turning point came when sketching the gentle smile of a plaster Virgin Mary, realizing that painting could convey deep emotions

Since then, he has explored the full range of human feeling pain, worry, hope, happiness, loneliness, gratitude through his art During his time at Benesse, Japans leading educational company, he was influenced by their philosophy that “the economy is the servant of culture ” This belief informs his artistic vision: while economic development is important, culture and spiritual enrichment are essential His work explores the tension between the structures of economic society and individual emotions

BEA LAST

Bea Last is a visual artist whose creative practice is process-led and rooted in an ongoing exploration of drawing in its broadest sense Her works take shape as sculptural drawings, installations created with salvaged, recycled, and found materials, which adapt and transform in dialogue with the space, the environment, and the context in which they are placed Conceived to be reworked and reimagined, these pieces embody both a response to global concerns and a reflection of personal experience, standing as testimonies to the human condition and engaging with themes of belonging, community, relationship, and connection Her practice addresses pressing issues such as conflict, migration, borders, and humanitarian crises Her works have been described as at once monumental and fragile, capable of expressing vulnerability, strength, and resilience This duality is also rooted in her personal history and inherited memory: her mother, Maltese, was ten years old when Malta endured two weeks of continuous bombing during the Second World War, while Bea herself was born in Cyprus in 1963, at the outset of tensions between Greek and Turkish Cypriots Personal history, entwined with backdrops of conflict and crisis, profoundly shapes her artistic vision In her practice, materials such as recycled newspapers, biodegradable and compostable plastics, craft wire, bandages, and even surfaces marked by bullet holes are reworked and transformed, becoming part of an aesthetic that reflects fragility and resilience These recycled and found elements are never celebrated for their origins alone, but for their capacity to be reinvented into a new visual language She currently lives and works in Scotland Not being Scottish by birth, she cultivates a perspective that unites a sense of not belonging with a form of universal belonging This outward-looking vision nurtures her relationship with both inner and outer landscapes and sustains an approach that embraces the global community as a source of inspiration, memory, and shared human connection

MAKI

Maki (Junghee Lee), born in Busan, South Korea in 1980, pursued studies in Tourism Management and Management Information Systems, yet has always felt a natural calling toward art as a language of emotion Beyond her academic background, she discovered in colors and images an authentic medium to translate her inner sensations into visual form Although she has not followed a traditional long-term artistic career, Maki has embraced digital media as her primary tool to express the flow of her emotions In her works, color is never merely a visual element: it becomes language, vibration, and pure emotional energy Each creation arises from the intent to capture and harmonize feelings, allowing viewers to intuitively perceive what the artist seeks to communicate A significant milestone in her journey was her participation in an exhibition at M A D S Art Gallery, an opportunity that enabled her to share her vision and to deepen the dialogue between color and emotion within a broader artistic context Today, Maki continues to expand her practice in the field of digital art, using color as both a tool of introspection and a universal bridge of emotional connection with the viewer

MAREKO

Mareko Nakada is a young Japanese artist currently enrolled in the Japanese Painting program at the Joshibi University of Art and Design, Faculty of Fine Arts Her artistic research stems from the concept of the “formless embrace”: Mareko does not paint the superficial form of people or objects, but seeks to capture their very essence, the warmth of a body, a mark, a lingering scent in the air, or the exact moment before a flower sways in the wind Through her painting, elements invisible to the eye become perceptible, conveying presence, intimacy, and a subtle sense of relief Despite her young age, Mareko has already exhibited her works on numerous occasions, both in group and solo exhibitions, including her first solo show at Ginza O Gallery in Tokyo, as well as university exhibitions such as Beautiful Particles at the Sakura City Museum of Art and Static Crimson Flame at Nihonbashi Her work has also been recognized in prestigious competitions, including the Tadashi Ishimoto Japanese Painting Award Exhibition and the 79th Spring Inten Exhibition Mareko’s painting is distinguished by the delicacy and sensitivity with which she makes the invisible tangible: a gesture, a warmth, a suspended emotion Viewing her works means perceiving the presence of what would otherwise remain intangible, entering a space where painting becomes a sensory experience and a silent dialogue with life itself

CHENGETAI MASALETHULINI

MIEI SATO

Born in 1987, she graduated in 2012 from Kyoto City University of Arts with a major in oil painting In 2020, she expanded her practice to mural art, and in recent years she has collaborated with Louis Vuitton and Uniqlo

A B O U T H E R W O R K

The art of Miei Sato is born from the secret pulse of time and the ceaseless flow of perception: each landscape she observes is a unique fragment, a moment that transforms under the gaze and soul of the artist. Lights, shadows, sounds, scents, and emotions intertwine, and what appears as reality is only a fleeting reflection Beside it, another world opens up, incalculable and everchanging, taking shape on the canvas like a whisper of memory and inner feeling Her works emerge from the intimacy of perception: sketches on paper and small canvases become maps of emotion, while the final canvas embraces the fusion of the real and the imaginary Trees, urban lights, architectural elements, and natural spaces transform into a chromatic dance, where the natural and the artificial merge, reflect, and brush against one another Color is never mere decoration: it is breath, vibration, memory, energy that pulses like a note in an invisible symphony In recent years, Miei has brought her painting into real space, onto walls and architectural environments. Here, her art becomes an immersive experience: the viewer walks among flowing forms and colors, perceives depth and rhythm, and senses the echo of emotions transformed into matter The walls open onto interior landscapes, and every step becomes an encounter between self and world, between sensation and vision Miei’s work is a journey suspended between reality and dream, between memory and emotion Every line, every color, every gesture is an invitation to perceive the passing of time, to feel the breath of the city and the soul, and to be enveloped by the delicate balance between what we see and what we feel, between the tangible world and the interior one

ABOUT HER WORK

KARIN MONSCHAUER

The embroidery technique has always tascinated the artist Karin Monschauer, allowing her to internalize the connection and interweaving between colors and shapes Historically this methodology, raqm in Arabic, allows you to create an ornamental design on a fabric through the use of one or more threads with ditterent colours

The initial manual skill allowed the digital artist Karin to create, through the use of software designed for art design, abstract works rich in geometric evolutions connected mutually thanks to a vast tonal range, divided between warm and cold areas

In this combination Monschauer proposes visual languages characterized by ideas obtained through factors such as pure imagination, the explicit reference to nature and the textures created by skilled ancient and modern masters Precisely the latter refer to those Middle Eastern carpets that the Luxembourg-born artist elaborates on a computer level, for a subject divided between past and present, always within her production Her creations are characterized by various codes that combine into fantastic artificial universes with abstract geometry The resulting combinations are always punctual within a creative process, visually providing the observer with a never static sensation

In addition to digital and embroidery works, the artist has, in recent years, also begun to express himself through more "traditional" mediums, maintaining his unmistakable energetic and at the same time harmonious style

CHE MUNDAMA

Che Mundama is a French abstract artist of African origin, whose work is deeply shaped by memory, tradition, and the search for light He began creating art at the age of six, inspired by his grandfather, a local sculptor, and by the textured smoke rising from his grandmother’s firewood kitchen These early impressions gave birth to a unique artistic voice rooted in raw emotion, materiality, and storytelling Ches technique is both instinctive and philosophical: he builds layers of paint, clay, and spices on canvas, then rapidly scratches through them to reveal the white beneath a symbol of light and truth This gesture of subtraction becomes a kind of performance, echoing the duality that defines his work By the age of fifteen, Che had already painted murals for a king Over time, his themes have evolved from folklore to philosophy, global politics, and architecture His painting sessions often unfold as live performances with musicians and storytellers, turning each work into a shared, living experience Whether exploring the visible or the hidden, Ches art invites viewers to feel, to remember, and to reconnect with what is deeply human His canvases speak of what we carry, what we shed, and what we choose to illuminate

THOMAS MUSHET

Thomas Mushet is a contemporary Scottish artist whose work often engages with social, political, and environmental themes One of his notable pieces is titled "Net Zero Now," which reflects his concern with climate change and environmental sustainability Mushets work is known for its bold use of colour and abstract forms, often accompanied by textual elements that reinforce the thematic message The "Net Zero Now" piece specifically addresses the urgency of reducing carbon emissions and the responsibility of the top polluting nations to lead in the global effort towards achieving netzero emissions His artwork is part of a broader movement among contemporary artists who use their platforms to highlight critical environmental issues, blending visual impact with activism Mushet's background in art reflects a journey of rediscovery, having been initially discouraged by a lack of inspiration in his early education, only to be later captivated by the works of artists like Jackson Pollock This influence is evident in the dynamic and expressive nature of his paintings Interestingly many of his works have sand infused in his paints to create texture and a uniqueness His commitment to making art that matters is a central theme in his career, and "Net Zero Now" is a prime example of how he uses his craft to contribute to the dialogue around climate change Hind Rajab is a work that hopes to remind and educate the viewer around the futility of war and the pointless death of a young innocent girl and in some way keep her memory alive To date his works have gone to collectors and supporters in ME, Europe, China, Japan, US and U K

JULIET NAPIER

Juliet Napier Specialising in painting, my practice is multidisciplinary as it is informed by both digital and physical process, subject matter and media I am interested in the relationship and presence that digital media has in contemporary painting Although not present directly in the work, the digital remains present in the process and is reinterpreted on canvas As a painter, I think of the canvas as a landscape, not literally but with a sense of depth as I compose the visual elements within the scene I explore abstraction that is both painterly and graphic-like, somewhere between expressionism and hard edge-abstraction I produce oil paintings but approach painting using technology as a preparatory tool in the studio I use digital collage and digital painting to create compositions and then translate what I see on screen into physical material on canvas Translating from screen to canvas, I explore the discourse between the digital and physical It is within this realm of engagement, between screen-based material and physical painting, that a new kind of representation is formed The visual elements in my paintings grapple with each other for space, surface and form and between foreground and background like a 'landscape' There is a dialogue created between the elements as they collide and co-exist on the canvas I view them as objects in space and entities in themselves Alongside the process of painting, I am interested in the idea of artistic simulacra' and representation Through a chain of representation, translating from screen to canvas, something new is created each time Shapes and colour transform through perception and become transformed by the artists hand Translation, perception and representation play an important role in my practice and my work from its creation to its finished form

ABOUT HIS WORK

P

Painter Kuro is a multifaceted creator - painter, editor, playwright, and stage designer - whose artistic journey crosses disciplines with fluidity and vision Over the years, he has brought his creativity to numerous stage productions, promotional campaigns, book covers, and illustrations, leaving his mark through a language that blends image and narrative He has produced promotional art for films directed by Yasuharu Inoue, one of Japan's most acclaimed television and film directors, and has collaborated with celebrated singers and artists in live painting performances that merge sound, gesture, and color into a single expressive act Today, Painter Kuro directs Shironekosha, a poetry publishing house based in Fukuoka, Japan Through this platform, he nurtures a vibrant dialogue between visual art and literature, introducing and supporting the voices of many contemporary poets while continuing to expand the horizons of his own creative practice

In Painter Kuro’s art, the pictorial gesture is both research and revelation His works emerge from layers of color, from fields that overlap and negate one another, from surfaces that seem to carry within themselves both the time of the gesture and its erasure. Black ink, red, white, blue, green, sand: tones that do not coexist peacefully, but encounter each other in continuous tension, where painting becomes at once construction and subtraction The gaze drifts among intersecting planes, without a clear beginning or a defined end. Scratched and carved surfaces reveal what has been hidden, only to conceal it once more, as if the work itself were breathing in the rhythm of appearance and disappearance There is never a definitive form, but rather a movement, a vibration that makes the matter alive. Kuro conceives painting not as representation, but as an existential act: each canvas is a field of forces, a place where order and chaos confront each other, where intuition surrenders to chance and discipline allows itself to be contaminated by instinct. In this space, painting becomes a nonverbal language, an imprinted memory, the trace of an inner dialogue that opens itself to the viewer Thus, his works do not offer answers, but questions. They do not display a finished image, but a process: that of matter transforming, of color resisting and at the same time consuming itself, of a gesture that leaves marks destined to change To look at them is to dwell within this movement, to be traversed by the energy of the mark, and to recognize that, in its incompleteness, the work continues to live.

EI have been painting for over 30 years My painting is constantly evolving to avoid compartmentalization in a single register I don't appreciate always doing the same thing and it gives me the pleasure of creating and therefore taking the freedom to go in various directions and to include new techniques in my concept without dispersing myself Monotony and routine are not part of my pictorial vocabulary On the contrary, that is what inspires me Pleasure is essential to move forward and it suits me very well The principle is to enjoy and to feel comfortable and in adequacy with one and the same

TAKAHASHI MASAHARU

Takashi Masaharu, born in 1963, experienced the Great East Japan Earthquake in March 2011 Since that pivotal moment, he has approached photography with a heightened sense of intuition, always keeping his camera close, ready to capture what may vanish tomorrow His work is driven by the awareness of impermanence, a desire to preserve fleeting moments that might otherwise be lost Masaharu finds profound inspiration in the grandeur of nature While the beauty of trees, flowers, and insects surrounds us constantly, it is all too easy to take it for granted Through his lens, he seeks to remember, to feel, and to honor this ever-present splendor His photography transforms light and color into painterly compositions, rendering each image not merely as a record of a scene, but as a reflection of the ephemeral beauty that permeates the world

ABOUT HIS WORK

DOROTHEA VAN DE WINKEL

Dorothea Van De Winkel lives in the center of the town of Oudenaarde (Flanders, Belgium), a historic city renowned for its ancient handwoven tapestries She was very impressed by the skills needed and the fine art behind this craft. From this background, she started searching for and collecting any information she could find on materials (wool, silk, ), tools, colors, and patterns She wanted to know everything about it, from design to realization After a solid education in this art form locally and later abroad at the Ecole Nationale d’Art Décoratif in Aubusson, France, she began creating her own designs and weaving cartoons in a modern style, according to her feelings and emotions of the moment Starting from a pencil sketch, in various shades of grey but often colored, the pencil lines are maintained in the realization of the tapestry

They give a personal touch and a familiar feeling to the whole There are restrictions when it comes to weaving a tapestry; however, she manages to realize her drawings as close as possible to the initial design, making use of meticulously mastered skills The designs of Dorothea Van De Winkel are abstract She creates wall and floor tapestries that can be wholly integrated into a house (colors, form, and size) The realizations can be seen as living, standing-on-their-own art objects, or as the centerpiece, elementary piece, or material for interior design Furthermore, tapestry can be used in modern buildings for muting sound transmission, and it adds a feeling of warmth Dorothea was an independent textile artist–designer from 01 10 1985 to 25 09 2022 She managed her own gallery, “Galerij Theaxus,” from 25 09 1992 to 25 09 2022 in Kwaremont Her new studio, “Art Theaxus,” opened in Oudenaarde on 23 06 2023, and it is now possible to visit the studio where the hand-woven tapestries are designed and made Dorothea participates yearly in international exhibitions and competitions 2025 IDENTITY Contemporary Art Museum Exhibition, Insa Art Center, September 3–8, Seoul 2025, with Musa International Art and K-ART International in Seoul, South Korea

LIFE series: Trained in the Japanese traditional painting style known as Nihonga, which employs sumi ink, delicate brushwork, and natural mineral pigments, her artistic practice is rooted in reverence for the past, yet directed toward the future Her goal is twofold: to revive the dynamism, boldness, and often playful spirit seen in the works of masters like Hokusai Katsushika and Jakuchu Ito, and to pioneer a new visual language that fuses classical materials with contemporary and technological motifs, including computer circuit boards, acrylic pouring, and silkscreen printing At the heart of this exploration is her ongoing LIFE series, a body of abstract works that oscillate between the microcosmic and the macrocosmic Motifs emerge from both organic and synthetic sources: microscopic images, ancient scripts (Chinese, Sanskrit), digital circuitry, or purely imagined forms The series blurs boundaries between biological and mechanical, ancient and futuristic, material and immaterial

YUKARI BLAIR

Yukari Blair is a Japanese artist From a young age, she loved drawing princesses and women As an adult, she traveled to around 20 countries, where encounters with diverse people and animals inspired her to deeply feel that “ everyone is unique, precious, and wonderful just as they are ” This realization sparked a desire to share that message with as many people as possible During her travels in Europe, she was profoundly moved by countless works of art, often brought to tears or left speechless by their power, which gave her a deep appreciation for the impact art can have on the human spirit Later, following the passing of her father, she began studying psychology, where she discovered oil pastels in a class Rediscovering the joy of expression, she returned to painting Drawing from these experiences, she now creates works that pay homage to masterpieces by the great masters, as well as original pieces inspired by her travels and everyday encounters, often featuring women and cats Her works have been exhibited not only in Japan but also internationally in cities such as Paris, New York, Madrid, and Luxembourg. Through her art, she aims to express the inherent value and radiance of each individual and to convey the message that “ you are already wonderful just as you are ”

ABOUT HER WORK

both decisive and delicate, like a breath moving through the material The pressure of the pastel, the blending of pigments, the movement of the hand across the surface, all contribute to a rhythm that is simultaneously visual and emotional, telling stories without the need for words. Her works do not merely represent: they evoke moods, inner tensions, fragments of memory anddesire Ineverymark, oneperceivestheintentiontomaketangiblethat which would otherwise be invisible: emotions, dreams, anxieties, and the vital force that inhabits every individual. When observing Yukari’s compositions, the viewer is invited into a space suspended between reality anddream, visibleandinvisible, wherethecreativeactbecomesamirrorof thesoul.

She has loved drawing since she was a little girl Even before getting dressed in the morning or having breakfast, if she had a blank sheet of paper and a pencil, she would immediately begin to draw, and in many ways, she continues to do so to this day As she grew up, she realized that her 'color world' was slightly different from others In the world she perceives, music has colors, and the scenes she remembers are not fixed like photographs, but draped in a curtain of hues shaped by her emotions, like stage directions The colors she sees are not only those of visible objects, but also subtle shades that exist only in her perception When she first became aware of this, she felt lonely and sad, and so she began inviting others into her world of color through drawing, a practice she has always cherished As an adult, she worked with Japanese anime and games, where she discovered a new concept of color: characters are often associated with a specific hue-for example, red for the hero, blue for the thoughtful one, and so on This inspired her to perceive both emotions and personalities in terms of color. In her world, color exists not only in objects themselves, but also in the invisible currents of the mind and the aura of people She asks, what would the world look like if only colors remained? This question led her to create the REVERSE COLORING series, inviting viewers to step into a vibrant universe where color becomes feeling, memory, and imagination

A B O U T H E R W O R K

Yuki’s art is an invitation to enter a world suspended between reality and dream, a universe in which color is not mere ornament, but the breath of the soul, a vibration that pulses between memory and imagination Her works do not merely represent: they dissolve, recombine, and transform matter, as if each sheet and each stroke were a mirror of an inner time that escapes ordinary measure. Her colors, dense and luminous, create a silent dialogue with the viewer They do not guide with rules or boundaries, but present themselves as suspended moments, emotions that manifest in the space between one line and another. The line itself, fragile and pulsating, traces paths that lead beyond appearances, toward worlds that exist only in the encounter between gaze and perception It is an invitation to walk the fine line separating the real from the evoked, to lose oneself in the folds of a imagination that breathes like a living being. Yuki’s works intertwine delicacy and energy, lightness and density: every color blot, every nuance, every stroke is born from a conscious gesture that captures the instant and transforms it into eternity. In Beauty, Bloom, Celebrate, or When You Wish Upon A Star, pastel and gouache blend with pen, pencil, and ink, creating rich, layered textures that do not tell fixed stories but suggest infinite possibilities Each work thus becomes a microcosm in which the real dissolves, leaving room for a vision that is both intimate and universal. Her painting invites deep listening, silent contemplation, and the recognition that beauty is not fixity, but movement: the tremor of a color, the lightness of a line, the suspension of a moment. Yuki’s art is proof that imagination can take shape in the material world without losing its ethereal essence, and that the creative gesture, even in the smallest detail, has the power to awaken perception, to open the inner eye, and to reveal what often escapes notice: the invisible echo of life, the secret melody of the universe hidden behind every form, every color, every dream.

KARLA PERALTA MÁLAGA

The Kingdom of Art: A Contemporary Comedy

In the Kingdom of Art, the Queen of Aesthetics reigns, assisted by her advisor Greenberg, maintaining traditional order through collective memory of artistic conventions The arrival of a stranger disrupts the balance: philosopher Danto, ever wakeful to change, identifies the stranger as the "Pluralist," a character with many masks who becomes the kingdom's joker.

Act I: The Pluralist challenges traditional aesthetic conventions According to Danto, all art is equally valid, while Greenberg seeks to define specific artistic categories Contemporary art embraces pluralism, abandoning historical avant-gardes

Act II: The Queen of Aesthetics, feeling threatened by the Pluralist's success, decides to abdicate Danto proposes a co-regency, also introducing Miss Relational Aesthetics, who promotes social interaction in art

Act III: The kingdom transforms into an open space where everyone, queen, joker, active audience participate in the making of artworks The Kingdom of Art evolves into M A D S (mediators, advisors, dealers, seekers), an alternative space of innovation and sharing A representation of the evolution of contemporary art from modernism to participatory pluralism

After studying Visual arts and Art history, I practice

Wakeful awareness towards artistic voices eager to narrate visual stories intended as pulses of life itself, where memories are living archives, breathing plurally
