Details. A B
The Primary materials of construction are wood and stone.
Among variety of trees, deodar and kail are best suited for construction.
And for the roof, the outer most covering being the locally available slate.
The walls are constructed with alternate courses of dry masonry and wood without any cementing mortar. This type of construction involves laying two wooden wall beams longitudanally parallel to eachother with a in between. The space between the two members is filled with stone and edge is secured with kadil (wooden nail). Hence making a earthquake resistant structure.
