I started TW Drainage in 2009 after working in the industry for 10 years, with a dream of providing a stable life for my young family. Fast-forward to 2026, and I could never have predicted what we have achieved over the past 17 years. My skillset and ability to build relationships have enabled me to create a business I am exceedingly proud of.
I have learnt many lessons along the way, which have only served to improve what we do at every opportunity, and I cannot stress enough the importance of surrounding yourself with people who are better at certain tasks than you. Every member of my team brings something unique to the table, which I am certain creates the dynamic we have at TWD.
TWD has not only survived but thrived in circumstances where others would flounder, and I am just as excited about our continual growth over the next 20 years as I was on that first day I got into my van with a plunger and a dream. There really is no stopping us!

TWD IN THE COMMUNITY
Since our formation in 2009, giving back has been a core part of who we are at TWD. What began as a local commitment has grown into a long-standing dedication to creating meaningful social value within the communities we serve.
In both 2024 and 2025, TWD colleagues completed the Kilt Walk challenge — first in Aberdeen and then in Edinburgh — walking 20 miles on each occasion to raise vital funds for Diabetes UK. This charity holds personal significance for us, with two members of our team living with Type 1 diabetes. Through these efforts, we have raised over £26,950, and we remain committed to continuing this fundraising year after year.
Beyond fundraising, we proudly invest in sport at varying levels. Our sponsorships range from grassroots football and rugby clubs to regular partnerships at Millwall FC, alongside our continued sponsorship of world-class snooker player Barry Hawkins.
Our social value commitment ranges from hands-on through to financial support. We regularly volunteer to repair and improve sites across London for residents in social housing, helping to enhance living environments and community spaces. Each Christmas, we deliver donations across multiple London boroughs — from hampers for vulnerable residents and gifts for looked after children, to essential household items such as microwaves, iPads and mobile phones — easing pressure on families who need it most.
At TWD, community support is not a one-off initiative. It is an ongoing commitment, driven by our people and woven through the fabric of our business.
TWD TRAINING
TWD training was launched in response to demand for face-toface professional training in key areas for the drainage industry and beyond. We offer a wealth of knowledge from our professionally qualified instructors, independently accredited by the CPD Certification Service, to provide your staff with a comprehensive training package, for optimum safety. In addition, we are an IATP asbestos training provider, to give an extra level of confidence of compliance.
All our courses are delivered face-to-face from our bespoke training centre at TWD HQ. We believe this personal approach and live interaction is the best way to learn, and alleviates the risk of manipulation, which is more prevalent with e-courses. We care deeply and have a responsibility to ensure you leave with the best quality training you can receive. For larger groups, we are able to arrange delivery of training at other facilities, should you meet the requirements. Our current courses are:
• Abraisive Wheels
• Asbestos Awareness
• CAT & Genny
• Manual Handling
• Working at height (incl. safe use and inspection of ladders and harnesses)
