The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Global Innovators teaches a Design thinking process to build empathy and develop solutions for real-world challenges, such as those reflected in the SDGs.
Empathise
Learn. Think. Act for a better world
The SDGs are 17 global goals created by the United Nations in 2015 to make the world fairer, safer, and greener by 2030. Each goal focuses on an important challenge that belongs to everyone: governments, communities, schools, and you.
Define Why do they matter?
The SDGs help people work together to:
• Protect the environment
• End inequality and poverty
• Improve education and health
• Build peace and strong communities
• Create a future that is sustainable for all
Ideate The 17 Goals
Brainstorm freely. Imagine creative ways you could support one or more of these goals in your own life or classroom.
Prototype What can you do?
Try simple, practical actions:
• Recycle and reduce plastic
• Save water and energy
• Listen to others’ ideas and cultures
• Support fairness and equality
• Plant trees or clean a local park
Test
Think globally, act locally
• Ask yourself: What needs to change?
• Imagine solutions: What could I do differently?
• Take action: How can I help today?

Presenting in English with Confidence
Speaking in front of others is about sharing your ideas clearly, connecting with your audience, and expressing yourself with confidence. One way Global Innovators helps is through the Design thinking process, building creativity and resilience as a speaker.
• Start: “Today I want to talk about…”, “I am going to tell you about…”
• Middle: “This idea is important because…”, “The reason this matters…”
• End: “In conclusion, I believe…”, “To finish, I think…”
Ideate
Explore ways to make it engaging
• Speak slowly and take pauses.
• Use hand gestures to help explain your points.
• Smile to show confidence.
• Stand tall and look relaxed.
• It is more important to be understood than to speak perfectly.
• You do not need perfect English — your message should be clear.
• Mistakes are part of learning.
Define Plan your structure clearly
• Use linking words: “First…”, “For example…”, “Finally…”
• Practise speaking out loud with a friend.
• Use key words instead of full sentences.
• Say short phrases to help you remember your ideas.

Learn from feedback
• Useful phrases for mistakes: “Sorry, I meant…”, “Let me say that again.”, “I am not sure how to say it, but…”
