Here are a few options to help you cover the cost of your graduation ticket:
1. Your parents generously cover the cost.
2. Consider saving up with a part-time job.
3. You could even sell chocolate boxes for some extra cash.
TableArrangemet Seating
Payments for tickets will be made at the Secondary Reception. Due to limited seating, only parents/carers will be able to purchase tickets.
We understand that other family and friends would like to celebrate the beginning of the evening with their graduate. An open area has been provided behind the main building where photos can be taken, platters will be served, and drinks can be purchased at the counter.
Table selection will be assigned by parents at the time of ticket purchase. We encourage you to coordinate with other parents regarding seating arrangements before making your payment if you wish to sit together.
A table arrangement/floor plan will be provided prior to ticket booking to allow you to choose your preferred seating and coordinate with others.
On the night of the event, a list will display your name alongside your selected table number.
Please note that once you purchase your ticket, seating arrangements are final and cannot be chan ged on the night of the event.

Rose Ceremony Letters Appreciation
This is a time in the evening to thank loved ones with a rose and a letter of appreciation.
A personal letter to a Parent/Carer – Expression of gratitude for support during school
• Each student is required to write 1-2 letters.
• The letter should be one page long.
• Please use respectful and appropriate language in your letter/s.
• Ensure your letter/s are emailed to Mrs. Atherstone (hatherstone@mccmky.qld.edu.au) by 20 July. This will allow letter/s to be printed on special paper and placed in envelopes.
• No letters will be accepted after this date.
Mystery Tour
THURSDAY 19 / FRIDAY 20 NOVEMBER
YEAR 12 Graduates
Students are required to bring a change of clothes to wear after the graduation ceremony for the Mystery Tour.
The Mystery Tour will begin at 11:30 PM , with the bus departing from the Mackay Turf Club.
Students are expected to return to MCC at approximately 8:00 PM on Friday, 20 November.

YEAR 12 Graduates
We are providing an alternative for those who choose not to attend the Mystery Tour.
On Friday morning at 9:00 AM , you will join Dr. Tunnah, Ms. Wright, and Mr. Graham for breakfast. More information will be provided during Term 4, and the location will be confirmed later.
Seniors will leave at 10:30 AM. This will conclude their formal schooling.
Please note that seniors who do not attend the Mystery Tour must participate in this breakfast event to fulfill their graduation requirements.
Students attending the breakfast are expected to be well-presented and dressed in appropriate casual attire.
Things to Remember
• Upon entering, stand tall, shoulders back and smile
• Walk across to the Principal on the red carpet
• Extend your right hand to shake the Principal’s hand
• With the Principal, turn and face the photographer and smile

• Bring a spare pair of flat shoes for comfort and suitable for dancing

FEMALES
The following dress code is provided to outline the standard of dress expected at the College’s Year 12 Graduation Dinner for students, teachers and guests.
Minimum Requirements
Females :
The overall style should be in keeping with the formal atmosphere of the evening. The aim is to dress fashionably and modestly, and to feel comfortable throughout the evening’s activities.
• Fabrics are not to reveal underwear
• Full-length or knee-length dress, or top and skirt combination (no mini-skirts)
• The bodice may be strapless, halter neck, or have thin straps, but the chest and back area from beneath the armpit down to the waistline is to be covered, i.e. no low-cut front or backless dresses/tops
• Skirts are not to expose midriff or have splits over and above the knee
• Ladies’ suit style – jacket and trousers, with a camisole or top worn under the jacket
• Dress shoes in keeping with the style of the dress or suit (and comfortable for dancing!)
• Shoes are to be worn all night due to the venue’s WHS regulations – suggestion: bring second pair of enclosed shoes (flats) for comfort

MALES

• Males may also choose to wear a formal-style suit – available for hire from local menswear stores
• If you are not wearing a suit, a jacket is preferred but optional
