THE VOICE .

M3.AGENCY | Autumn / Winter 2025

FROM ALBRIGHTON TO EVERYWHERE

HOW M3’S GROWTH IS SHAPING THE FUTURE OF MARKETING

Growth isn’t just something we talk about at M3. It’s something we live.

We started in Albrighton, and we’re proud of the work and relationships we built there. But we’ve never been the kind of agency to stand still – because helping our clients make bold moves means we’ve got to be brave enough to make them ourselves. So, in the past year, we’ve been busy. Really busy.

We moved our HQ to the heart of Birmingham, a creative city that matches our energy and ambition. Our digital marketing team had already made Chamberlain Square its home for the last few years, but with the client services and creative teams joining them full time we’ve been able to improve collaboration and become more connected across many of our accounts. We opened our doors in Telford to grow our digital development and finance teams. And we headed further afield too: Manchester, London, Cardiff, Bristol… and most recently, Dubai.

Each new office isn’t just a pin on the map – it’s a step closer to the kind of agency we want to be: local where it matters, and global where it counts.

POWERED BY PEOPLE, DRIVEN BY PURPOSE

What’s made this possible isn’t strategy decks or spreadsheets. It’s people. We’ve brought in senior talent to lead our growing teams and invested in new partnerships to offer even more to our clients. In Bristol, we teamed up with agency 7Fifty combining creative firepower and strategic thinking to offer a joined-up service from campaign to conversion. In Cardiff, we welcomed senior appointments with the kind of experience that makes a real difference to brands on the ground.

Our expansion isn’t just about reach, it’s about relevance. Each move is carefully considered to meet our clients where they are, solve real-world challenges, and create space for our people to thrive.

WHAT’S NEXT?

We’ve always said that M3 is about real people delivering real impact. That won’t change, whether we’re working from Chamberlain Square, a studio in Cardiff Bay, or a rooftop in Dubai.

M3 MAKES ITS MOVE: MANCHESTER, WE’RE HOME

There are moments that signal more than just expansion. When roots reach north, when energy meets opportunity and ambition ignites collaboration. For M3, that moment has arrived.

WHY MANCHESTER?

Born in the Midlands, M3 has always moved with purpose. Roots in the centre, but eyes wide toward growth. Establishing a base in Manchester isn’t just geography… it’s a statement.

Manchester pulses with creativity. From the soundtrack of its music heritage to its avant-garde design studios; from iconic football grounds to cutting-edge street art; from vibrant independent businesses to buzzing food scenes – the city is alive with grit, energy, and culture. It’s a place built on reinvention.

For M3, Manchester represents:

Cultural synergy: a perfect match between the city’s restless ambition and our own.

Strategic reach: anchoring us in the North, bridging from our Midlands roots, extending our reach for brands seeking real momentum.

Network and connection: people, partners, fresh perspectives. A place where brands who share our drive can find the fertile ground to grow.

PLANTING THE FLAG: COLONY IN ANCOATS

Nestled on Silk Street in Ancoats, our new home in a workspace known for collaboration and creative flair provides the ideal platform to build from. It’s not just an office; it’s a gateway.

Here, our Manchester Managing Partner, Rob Pollard, has hit the ground running – making connections, forging relationships, and introducing M3’s vision to the city. The foundations are being laid not just for projects, but for partnerships.

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

To mark the beginning of this Northern chapter, we threw a launch party. It wasn’t just a celebration, but a declaration.

Picture this: the Colony roof terrace soaking in a golden sunset; the Manchester skyline stretching out; expertly mixed cocktails in hand; food by Chef Liam Dillon; a soundtrack to match the mood. The atmosphere was charged: creative, electric, full of possibility.

WHAT’S NEXT? MOMENTUM

This is only the beginning.

We’re growing our team and building a pipeline. We’re already engaged in conversations with brands who want more – more originality, more impact, more daring. M3 Manchester isn’t a satellite; it’s a core pillar in our future.

We aren’t just spreading northward.

We’re weaving culture, collaboration, insight, and momentum into every partnership, every campaign, and every connection.

For brands looking to surge forward, move fast, and make not just noise but resonance – we’re here.

The future’s bright. The energy is real. And Manchester? It’s exactly the right home for what’s next.

“ “

Manchester has such an incredible energy – creative, ambitious, and always looking forward. That’s exactly the spirit we want to bring to M3 Manchester. The launch party was the perfect way to properly introduce who we are, and it’s only made me more excited for what’s to come.

THE BRANDING POWER OF DOCUMENTARY STORYTELLING

The internet is loud. Ads are everywhere, and audiences have never been harder to impress. So how do you cut through?

Not by shouting louder, but by saying something that feels real. That’s where documentary storytelling comes in. Whether you’re a startup or a global brand, documentary-style content offers something other formats can’t: human connection. It makes people stop scrolling, listen, and care. And in a world built on trust, that’s everything.

Here’s why it works, and why more brands are turning to it.

PEOPLE TRUST PEOPLE, NOT CAMPAIGNS.

We’ve all seen enough polished promo videos to last a lifetime. But the ones that stick, and the ones people share, remember and talk about, tend to have one thing in common: they feel honest. Documentary-style storytelling puts real people front and centre. Not actors or scripts; just genuine voices, doing what they do best. Whether it’s a founder explaining their ‘why’, a team sharing what makes them tick, or a customer describing the impact a service has had, this format makes space for authenticity. And that’s what builds trust.

IT SPARKS EMOTIONAL CONNECTION

We’re emotional creatures – we connect with stories, not stats. Documentary content gives brands a way to show who they are, and not just what they sell. That could mean following a product’s journey from idea to delivery, capturing behind-the-scenes moments that show company culture, or giving space to the people a brand serves every day.

We’ve seen this first-hand in our recent work with MG UK. Instead of opting for a traditional explainer video on engine types – which could easily have felt dry or technical – we sat down with automotive influencers, including The Stig, in a relaxed coffee shop setting. As they shared their go-to coffee orders, we drew parallels between their drink choices and the type of cars they drive – electric, hybrid or petrol. It was simple, human, and surprisingly insightful.

The format turned what can often be a confusing or overwhelming subject into something warm, familiar and easy to understand. And because the content was built around conversation, not a script, it felt more like real people talking about real choices, and not a brand talking at you.

That’s the power of documentary-style storytelling: it helps your audience see themselves in the story. And when people feel something, they’re more likely to remember you, buy from you, recommend you, and believe in what you stand for.

IT’S FLEXIBLE, SCALABLE AND BUILT FOR DIGITAL

Documentary content is made for modern marketing. From one shoot, you can create a bank of material: social edits, brand films, web content, internal comms, employer branding, recruitment videos… the list goes on. And because it’s rooted in real stories and moments, it never feels like a one-off campaign –it’s adaptable, relatable and timeless.

IT MAKES YOUR BRAND MEAN SOMETHING

People are drawn to purpose. Documentary storytelling brings your values, ethos, and people to life, showing the heart behind your brand. It does more than market products or services – it builds lasting connection.

7Fifty, now part of the M3 Group as M3 Bristol, has mastered this approach, helping brands capture what makes them real and human on film. It works across sectors, from corporate to consumer, tech to training.

A standout example is Electrolux Professional. Rosa of 7Fifty says: “They’ve seen a significant rise in sales from films showing their products in real-life situations. They’ve broken the cycle of safe, corporate storytelling and, with our support, embraced a dynamic, honest way of capturing content that really connects with consumers.”

If your brand is driven by people, values, or impact, let documentary storytelling show it. Make your content human. Make it real. Make people believe.

WHAT BEING A GOOGLE PREMIER PARTNER REALLY MEANS

(FROM SOMEONE LIVING IT)

I’ll be honest, when we first became a Google Premier Partner, I didn’t stop and celebrate. That might sound a bit strange, but for us, it wasn’t about the badge. It was about what we had to do to earn it, and what it allows us to do better for our clients. Now that we’ve held that status for a while, I’ve had time to reflect on what it actually means in practice. Not just for M3, but for the clients we work with every day.

IT’S NOT ABOUT THE LABEL. IT’S ABOUT THE LEVEL.

Premier Partner status isn’t handed out freely. Only the top 3% of agencies in the UK make the cut, and it’s based on real performance, growth, and platform knowledge. To stay in that top tier, you can’t coast. You’ve got to be on it: managing high-performing campaigns across industries, investing in training, staying curious, and constantly looking at ways to do things better. That culture of continual improvement is what excites me most. It keeps us sharp, and it keeps our clients ahead.

WE’RE

FIRST IN LINE FOR WHAT’S COMING NEXT

One of the biggest perks of being a Premier Partner is access. We get early insight into product changes, algorithm updates and new features that most advertisers won’t see for months. We’ve been able to test beta formats before they launch publicly, which is a massive advantage in competitive sectors.

When you’re working with tight budgets or ambitious growth targets, that inside track can make all the difference. It means we can recommend smarter tactics, and not just the standard playbook.

WE’VE GOT A DIRECT LINE TO GOOGLE (AND WE USE IT)

Premier status gives us access to a dedicated Google support team, and that relationship has been genuinely valuable. We use it for deep-dive account audits, spotting trends across markets, and pressure-testing campaign strategies. It’s not about relying on Google to tell us what to do (we know our clients and goals better than anyone), but it’s an extra layer of insight that helps us get to better answers, and to get them faster. We’ve had some incredibly useful insight recently on the automotive and travel sectors, which has been invaluable in shaping our paid strategies.

Having that intel directly from the source means we’re not just reacting to trends, we’re anticipating them.

FOR THE TEAM, IT’S RAISED THE BAR

Everyone in the paid team at M3 is Google certified, but, more importantly, everyone’s pushing themselves to stay ahead. Being a Premier Partner means we get access to exclusive training, product workshops and planning tools, and I can see the difference it’s made in how we think and work. We’re not just pressing buttons – we’re building strategy with confidence.

AND FOR CLIENTS?

We know that no one chooses an agency just because they’ve got a badge. But if I were on the other side, I’d want to know my media spend was being handled by people who really know what they’re doing, and who can back that up with results. That’s what Premier status signals. It’s not a marketing claim; it is a performance benchmark.

For me, being a Google Premier Partner is confirmation that we’re doing the right things – but also a reminder to keep going. Because staying at the top takes work. And luckily, we’re not afraid of that.

FROM CLASSROOM TO CAMPAIGNS: ANU’S PLACEMENT AT M3

At M3, we believe in nurturing the next generation of marketing talent. That’s why when Anu, a student from the University of Birmingham, joined us for an eight-week placement, we wanted to give her more than just a desk and a to-do list. We wanted her to experience the reality of agency life, the energy, the teamwork, and the creativity that drives everything we do.

From day one, Anu was working on live client briefs, diving into tools like Hotjar, and exploring the nuances of UK-specific marketing activity. She got stuck in alongside our team across digital and creative projects, seeing first-hand how campaigns move from strategy to execution.

Reflecting on her time with us, Anu said:

“The office environment felt so welcoming, and I loved how proactive everyone was in supporting each other. I got to expand my learning into different digital techniques and platforms, which was incredibly valuable. This experience has only strengthened my interest in agency life, and I’d love to be part of M3 if the right opportunity comes up.”

It wasn’t just Anu who took something away from the placement. For us, it was a reminder of how important it is to stay connected to up-and-coming marketers, and to create space for students to learn, experiment, and grow.

As Andy Cove, Digital Marketing Director, who oversaw the placement, put it:

“Working with Anu was a real pleasure. She approached every task with energy and curiosity, and quickly became part of the team. At M3, we see placements as more than just work experience – they’re a way to invest in the future of our industry and support the marketing superstars of tomorrow.”

We’re proud to play a small part in shaping that future. And if Anu’s journey is anything to go by, the next wave of talent is brimming with passion, insight, and fresh ideas, which is exactly what our industry needs.

M3 LAUNCHES IN DUBAI

SHAPING THE FUTURE OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

EXPANDING HORIZONS. ACCELERATING INNOVATION. POWERING GROWTH.

M3 is going global. Our new Dubai office signals more than expansion - it’s a statement of intent. Sitting at the crossroads of technology, creativity, and commerce, Dubai gives us the perfect launchpad to push boundaries in AI-driven marketing and digital transformation.

“ “

Dubai is a city built on ambition. It’s where bold ideas become reality - and that’s exactly what M3 is here to do.

A STRATEGIC MOVE INTO THE FUTURE

This new hub brings together creativity, data, and technology - helping brands stay ahead in an ever-changing digital world. We’re building a centre for performance marketing, automation, and AI innovation - helping brands move faster, think smarter, and deliver measurable growth across the Middle East.

From predictive campaign modelling to AI-assisted strategic rollout, we’re using intelligent tools to elevate everything we create. The result? Smarter insights, sharper creative, and more connected customer experiences.

TRANSFORMING DIGITAL IN THE MIDDLE EAST

With one of the world’s most advanced digital infrastructures and a government-backed AI strategy, Dubai is redefining what’s possible. M3 is proud to be part of that future - helping brands embrace digital transformation through strategy, creativity, and innovation that deliver real results.

INTRODUCING M3 DUBAI’S MASCOT

Say hello to Jeff, M3 Dubai’s unofficial but much-loved office mascot with quite the backstory. Before joining the team, Jeff was a stray Saluki wandering the streets of Glen’s neighbourhood – thin, sunburnt and scared. When Glen and a few neighbours spotted him and realised the authorities were on their way, they stepped in to help, managing to earn Jeff’s trust and bring him to safety. With no microchip and only a faint ear tattoo hinting at his past, Jeff was treated, cared for, and soon became part of Glen’s family – and the wider M3 Dubai crew. Now he’s a regular office visitor, a reminder that a bit of compassion can go a long way.

VISIT JERSEY: FROM HOOK TO BOOK

HOW DIGITAL SMARTS ARE HELPING AN ISLAND DESTINATION BOUNCE BACK

When you think of Jersey, you picture rugged coastlines, seafood that rivals anywhere in Europe, and a short hop from the UK that feels a world away. But after the pandemic, the island’s visitor numbers told a tougher story. By summer 2024, overnight stays were still 27% below pre-COVID levels. Stays were getting shorter, hotel occupancy was slipping, and the island was struggling to attract a younger audience who saw Jersey as their parents’ destination. That’s where M3 came in.

GETTING UNDER JERSEY’S SKIN

We don’t believe in surface-level campaigns. So before putting pen to paper or pixels to screen, our team spent four days on the island. We explored, we ate, we met the people who bring Jersey to life. That immersion gave us the truth we needed: Jersey isn’t just another weekend break, it’s a place that blends wild landscapes with rich heritage and experiences you can’t get anywhere else.

FROM HOOK TO BOOK

With that understanding, we built our “Hook to Book” approach – a three-stage funnel designed to turn curiosity into conversions:

Hook: scroll-stopping social-first content to spark intrigue and engagement.

Inspire: storytelling that showcases Jersey’s food, culture, coastline and adventure.

Book: sharp, conversion-focused campaigns that drive traffic straight to booking partners and Jersey.com.

It’s a strategy designed to bring younger “Moment Makers” – travellers chasing Instagramworthy experiences and dining – together with “Easy Explorers”, who are drawn to history, nature and authenticity.

DIGITAL CHANNELS REIMAGINED

To make the most impact, we rebuilt the foundations:

Google Ads: a full restructure to cut waste, sharpen targeting and give flexibility to budget.

Paid Social: testing creative tailored to TikTok, Instagram and Facebook audiences.

YouTube & Display: rolling out video and retargeting to keep Jersey top of mind.

In a market where every booking matters, those efficiencies aren’t just numbers, but beds filled, restaurants booked, and a tourism economy that’s starting to recover.

BUILDING MOMENTUM

And we’re not stopping there. Off the back of the summer activity, our work with Visit Jersey has already expanded, with four more campaigns commissioned on the strength of the early results. We’re also gearing up for a major peaks campaign, launching on Boxing Day and running through to the end of February, designed to drive early bookings for next year and keep Jersey firmly in the consideration set during a key travel-planning window.

Our creative team is now fully immersed in the island’s story too – bringing fresh perspectives, richer content and new ideas to help Jersey stand out and stay competitive in a crowded category. And they’re ready to make a big impact.

As the full Hook to Book journey continues to roll out across all channels, Jersey now has the digital engine it needs to attract new audiences – and keep them coming back. Because Jersey deserves more than being overlooked. It deserves to be on the map, and on travellers’ booking lists.

M3 IN THE COMMUNITY

At M3, we believe in giving our people the chance to make a difference beyond the day job. That’s why every member of our team gets three community days each year to spend on causes close to their heart.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN MOROCCO

In September, SEO Account Manager Charly used hers to volunteer at a cultural and community centre in Rabat, Morocco. It was an experience that has left a lasting impact on both her and the young people she worked with.

From the moment she arrived, Charly was welcomed into the home of a local family, sharing breakfast, lunch and dinner with them each day.

“Sharing meal times with them was such a special part of the experience. Although we relied heavily on Google Translate, since English was very limited – it’s amazing how quickly you can feel at home when people are so warm and welcoming. Mealtimes were full of delicious food, and I completely immersed myself in the culture.”

Her week began with an orientation before joining two other volunteers at the IDMAJ Sale community centre. Each morning, they taught English lessons, and afterwards Charly led sports sessions for children aged six to thirteen.

“These included basketball, football, athletics, aerobics, dance, and fun active games like tag and running challenges. The children were full of energy, and although the facilities were not what we’re used to in the UK, their enthusiasm more than made up for it.”

Between 10 and 18 children attended each day,

eager to learn, play and spend time together. For many, the centre was more than just a place to practice English or play games – it was a safe space to make friends and build confidence.

“What amazed me most was how easily everyone connected through sport, despite the language barrier. The children, aged between 6 and 13, threw themselves into the activities with laughter and excitement. What I took away from this experience is the importance of giving your time to others. It’s not always obvious in daily life who might need your support, but even small acts of kindness and presence can brighten someone’s day. For these children, the hours spent at the centre were so precious that they didn’t want to leave, and their joy made the whole experience deeply rewarding.”

For Charly, this is just the start. “This was just the first of many projects I hope to take part in throughout my life. I’ve already stayed in touch with the people I met, and I plan to return to Morocco next summer to support other initiatives that work with children and young women.”

WALKING FOR DEMENTIA UK

Finance Director Justine took on a September walking challenge with her dog Pippa, all in aid of Dementia UK. They smashed the 30-mile target, averaging 2 km a day, and together they helped raise an amazing £695 – well over their £500 goal. Every step really did count!

TEEING OFF FOR PROSTATE CANCER UK

Paid Media Director Joe took on ‘The Big Golf Race’ – 72 holes in a single day for Prostate Cancer. Starting at 4:30am and finishing at 8:30pm, he played across four courses in Stratford-upon-Avon on June 20th, just before the summer solstice, in what was then the hottest day of the year (30°C+!).

Joe raised £310, and together the group raised over £500. By the end of the day, they’d walked 38.2 km – a staggering 49,443 steps in total.

GEELY: SAYING Hi TO BRITAIN

Breaking into the UK’s electric vehicle market isn’t for the faint-hearted. It’s a category dominated by big budgets and household names. Geely needed their first UK impression to make an impact. With strong EV credentials but low local awareness, our challenge was to introduce both the brand – and the fully electric Geely EX5 SUV – in a way that felt bold, credible, and refreshingly human.

BUILDING CURIOSITY

We started by sparking intrigue. Geely translates to ‘luck’ in Chinese, so we built a tease campaign around striking, luck-themed imagery designed to raise questions and encourage discovery. From there, we made a direct, honest introduction:

Hi BRITAIN. WE’RE GEELY.

Inspired by Geely’s own AI assistant phrase (“Hi Geely”), it was simple, confident, and no-nonsense – the perfect first impression.

MEETING THE GEELY EX5

With the brand established, we brought the Geely EX5 to life through a friendly, relatable positioning: Say hi to the Geely EX5. Studio photography and film sessions with Tom Kahler and Griffin Films showcased the car in a fresh, compelling way. Complementary digital-first assets followed – sharp, scroll-stopping, and built to grab attention.

TARGETING THE RIGHT DRIVERS

Our paid strategy focused on two key audiences: early EV adopters and value-conscious families. This ensured the creative didn’t just look good, it landed with the people most likely to care.

A FRESH FILM FOR A FRESH BRAND

To take Geely further into the UK spotlight, we launched a new VOD campaign: “The Geely EX5. Comfort that’s always there for you.” Partnering with Chief TV in Manchester, we moved from script to screen in under four weeks, with a two-day shoot.

At its heart is a celebration of individuality. Our young lead doesn’t blend in – she does things her own way. In the Geely EX5, she finds the one place where everything clicks. As Creative Director Justin Griffiths puts it: “She marches to her own rhythm, and when she gets into the EX5, it’s the one place where everything’s finally in tune.”

Even the aloof and witty need a companion – this one just happens to have four wheels. The Geely EX5 lets you spread your spark and makes anywhere feel like home.

For Geely, this is just the start of their UK journey. And for us, it proves that a fresh, human introduction can make even the busiest market feel ready to say hi back.

PARTNERS WITH PURPOSE

HOW M3 IS HELPING PROMISE DREAMS AND BEAUDESERT

TELL THEIR STORIES

At M3, we’ve always believed good marketing has the power to make a difference. That doesn’t just mean driving clicks, conversions and campaigns, it means using our skills to support causes that matter. That’s why we’re proud to shine a spotlight on two of our charity partners:

Promise Dreams and Beaudesert Outdoor Adventures.

ROOTED IN PURPOSE

We’re proud to be doing our bit for the planet. Through our partnership with Treeapp, we’ve committed to planting 100 trees every month across the globe. So far, that’s 600 trees – creating six workdays for local communities, absorbing 65.4 tonnes of CO₂ over their lifetime, and reforesting more than 4,000m² of land. A small step that adds up to real, lasting impact.

PROMISE DREAMS: MAKING WISHES COME TRUE

Promise Dreams is a national charity granting wishes for children with life-limiting or terminal illnesses. These dreams provide joy, relief, and lasting memories, from special holidays to once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

To help them unlock more magic, we ran a brand workshop to explore strengths, challenges, and opportunities. Together, we clarified their story, strengthened supporter connections, and identified ways to grow their reach. We’ll now develop an ongoing support plan and nextyear roadmap to spread the Promise Dreams message and help fund even more wishes.

You can support Promise Dreams too. They’re always looking for businesses to host fundraisers, volunteer time, or make donations that help turn children’s dreams into reality. From funding once-in-a-lifetime trips to providing life-changing equipment, every contribution creates moments that matter. Find out how you can get involved:

BEAUDESERT: WHERE ADVENTURE BEGINS

Beaudesert Outdoor Adventures in Cannock Chase has been inspiring young people through the outdoors for nearly 90 years. Thousands of children and community groups head there every year to camp, climb, canoe, and discover the thrill of adventure.

But like many not-for-profits, Beaudesert needed to refresh how they present themselves to the world. That’s where we stepped in. From a new brand identity that reflects the spirit of adventure, to revamped email communications that keep supporters engaged, and video content that showcases their facilities, we’ve been helping Beaudesert tell their story with the energy it deserves.

WHY IT MATTERS

For both charities, the goal is the same: to make sure more people know about the life-changing work they do, and to give them the tools to keep doing it. For us, it’s about rolling up our sleeves and using what we’re best at – marketing, creativity and strategy –to support organisations that really do make a difference.
