Holiday events coming to east county Santa gives out goodie bags in City Park at 6 p.m. Friday   EVERSON ­ — Santa and his elves come to City Park at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30. The Grinch may also make an appearance.    The first 180 kids in line for Santa get goodie bags.   Hot chocolate and wagon rides are free for all. Hot dogs will be $1 each.   The annual Winter Festival is a project of the Everson-Nooksack Chamber of Commerce.

Silver Tea at 2 p.m. Sunday   EVERSON — The Friends of the Everson Library invite the community to enjoy refreshments and musical entertainment at the annual Silver Tea event, now in its 35th year.    It will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, in the Everson McBeath Community Library at 104 Kirsch St. It is meant to be for all ages.   Specialty teas will be served by Laurie and Charles Dawson, founders See Events on C3 The first Friday in December brings Santa to Everson City Park to share his holiday cheer with local families.
