Since our founding in 1995, the Foundation has led the charge in funding groundbreaking scientific research, providing trusted education and support programs, and fostering a resilient, nationwide community of patients, care partners, healthcare professionals, and advocates. As we look ahead to what the next 30 years hold, we remain grounded in research and committed to community.

Since our founding in 1995, the Lymphoma Research Foundation has been a beacon of hope for those whose lives have been touched by lymphoma. As we celebrated our 30th anniversary in 2025, we took time to reflect on all that we’ve accomplished over the past three decades and to look forward to what lies ahead: new breakthroughs in research, new moments of shared community, and ultimately, a future free of this disease. When the power of our community meets our unparalleled commitment to supporting the research of tomorrow, we know that there’s no limit to what we can do — together.
In addition to celebrating this significant milestone, the Foundation continued to fund an advanced portfolio of cuttingedge research. In 2025, the Foundation funded 24 research grants across a wide range of lymphoma subtypes totaling nearly $2.7 million, expanding our knowledge of everything from

novel therapies to tumor microenvironment analysis. We continued to bring world-class educational resources and programs and compassionate support services to patients, survivors and care partners free of charge, ensuring that we were here for them at every step along their journey.
In partnership with our expert Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), the Foundation was able to harness its convening power to address critical areas of unmet need, bringing together our brightest scientific minds to expand our understanding of survivorship, lymphoma in adolescents and young adults, mantle cell and T-cell lymphomas, and CAR T-cell therapy. This year’s report also details the work of our talented grantees and the groundbreaking projects that have the potential to reshape our understanding of this disease.
As we look ahead to the promise of what the next 30 years may hold for the Foundation and the people that we serve, we know that none of our work would be possible without your continued commitment and support. From Vision to Impact
This timeline reflects a legacy of bold vision, relentless progress, and unwavering commitment to those affected by lymphoma.
1995
The Lymphoma Research Foundation is established, along with its Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), to drive progress in lymphoma research.
Today, the SAB includes 45 leading experts, who guide the planning of the Foundation’s research program and select grant recipients.
1996
The first North American Educational Forum on Lymphoma is held in California, creating a new space for patient education and support.
Today, the Ed Forum remains the largest lymphomaspecific patient conference in the world, with four additional education program series meeting patients at every stage of their journey.
2003
The Foundation hosts its inaugural Lymphoma Walk, launching its peer-topeer fundraising efforts.
Since then, the community fundraising program has raised over $18 million, engaging supporters nationwide.
The Mantle Cell Lymphoma (MCL) Initiative is established, positioning the Foundation as one of the largest private funders of MCL research.
The Mantle Cell Lymphoma Consortium (MCLC) has become the Foundation’s largest scientific initiative.
2008
To expand its impact on healthcare professionals, the Foundation launches Lymphoma Rounds, a continuing education program tailored for clinicians treating lymphoma.
Now reaching markets like Puerto Rico, the program reflects the Foundation’s strong commitment to Health Equity.
2010
Thanks in large part to the Foundation’s Advocacy Program, the U.S. Congress designates September as National Blood Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM).
Today, the Foundation commemorates BCAM by building community and raising awareness—also launching its own Giving Day on World Lymphoma Awareness Day (WLAD).
2014
The Foundation debuts #EraseLymphoma, in partnership with the Paul Foundation, a campaign dedicated to raising awareness and tailored support to adolescent and young adult (AYA) patients and survivors.
Ellen Walker, founder and CEO of the Paul Foundation now serves on the Lymphoma Research Foundation’s Board of Directors.
2018
The Foundation hosts the first CAR T-cell therapy education program in the U.S., delivering vital information to the lymphoma community about this groundbreaking treatment.
2020
To address the unique challenges faced by people with Lymphoma and CLL, the Foundation established the first and only COVID-19 scientific program, the COVID-19 and Lymphoma Initiative.
2019
The Foundation launches the Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Lymphoma Consortium, a first-of-its-kind initiative uniting pediatric and adult lymphoma experts to improve care and outcomes for AYA patients.
2021
2023
A milestone is reached as Dr. Elise Chong (University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine) becomes the Foundation’s 500th grantee, reflecting decades of investment in the next generation of lymphoma researchers.
2025
The Foundation expanded its Lymphoma Scientific Research Mentoring Program (LSRMP) to foster the next generation of laboratory and translational researchers.
The Foundation introduces its new Health Equity Initiative (HEI) to address disparities in research careers and patient care, and launches Lymphoma.org en Español, expanding access to resources for the Spanish-speaking community.
The Foundation celebrates three decades of progress, while looking toward the future with bold ambition and renewed commitment. Through strategic investments in innovative research, high-quality patient and professional education, and a growing leadership role in policy and advocacy, the Foundation is setting the standard for excellence in lymphoma science and care.

In April, the Lymphoma Research Foundation announced its 2025 grantee class — over 20 grants awarded to scientists based at many of the world’s leading cancer research institutions totaling more than $2.7 million in innovative lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) research.
The Foundation maintains a strong commitment to supporting early-career investigators, ensuring they can build a successful career in the field of lymphoma research. This commitment is illustrated by the grants awarded to early career investigators this year. These include three dynamic Clinical Investigator Career Development Awards, which support physician investigators at the level of advanced fellow or junior faculty member who will contribute to the development of new lymphoma therapies and diagnostic tools. Scientific Programs
In 2025, the Foundation used its convening power to bring together the lymphoma community around critical areas of scientific discovery and unmet need: survivorship, adolescent and young adult (AYA) lymphomas, mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), T-cell lymphomas, and access to chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy.
Lymphoma Survivorship Scientific Workshop
Survivorship in lymphoma is an evolving area of care as treatment advances improve patient survival. Despite these gains, survivors face complex physical, psychological, and social challenges that require focused research and coordinated care. The Foundation’s Lymphoma Survivorship Virtual Scientific Workshop, chaired by Lindsay Morton, PhD, of the National Cancer Institute, convened in January 2025 as an inaugural forum to address gaps in survivorship care delivery, prevention, health promotion, and research resources. The workshop highlighted multidisciplinary, evidence-based approaches to survivorship care planning, with emphasis on vaccinations, physical well-being, immunocompromised populations, and care disparities. Identified knowledge gaps and solutions will inform future research, advocacy, and quality-of-life discussions. Findings were published in a proceedings paper in Fall 2025.
Adolescent and Young Adult Lymphoma Consortium and Scientific Workshop
Adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with lymphoma face distinct challenges navigating care across pediatric and adult systems during critical life stages. Despite high survival rates, gaps remain in clinical trial access, long-term followup, and financial and emotional support. The Foundation’s AYA Lymphomas Scientific Workshop and Consortium, cochaired by Andrew Evens, DO, MBA, MSc, of Rutgers Cancer Institute, and Kara Kelly, MD, of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, convened hematologists, researchers, advocates, and healthcare leaders to address disparities, care delivery models, treatment safety, survivorship, and clinical trial design. As a result, the Foundation is exploring new working groups focused on care delivery, biospecimen access, and survivor engagement, with proceedings papers and pilot projects underway. The Consortium will continue to convene to advance long-term success for AYA lymphoma survivors.
Mantle Cell Lymphoma (MCL) Consortium and Scientific Workshop
MCL is a rare, aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma arising from mantle zone cells. Despite advances with BTK inhibitors and CAR T-cell therapies, resistance and relapse remain common, with treatment prediction still unclear. The Foundation’s 21st MCL Scientific Workshop in April 2025, chaired by Peter Martin, MD, of NYU School of Medicine, convened researchers to discuss recent developments in MCL characterization and treatment, including molecular pathogenesis, resistance mechanisms, and novel therapeutic strategies. Identified knowledge gaps and potential solutions will guide future research to improve outcomes across the disease spectrum. A key outcome of the meeting was the formation of the Foundation’s MCL High-Risk Working Group, focused on advancing understanding and treatment of high-risk and treatment-resistant MCL.
T-Cell
Lymphomas International Scientific Workshop
T-cell lymphomas are rare, complex blood cancers that pose challenges in diagnosis and treatment. Their diversity and limited understanding of underlying disease mechanisms make them difficult to manage effectively. The Foundation’s inaugural International T-Cell Lymphomas Scientific Workshop, led by Steven Horwitz, MD, of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Ann LaCasce, MD, of DanaFarber Cancer Institute, and Kerry Savage, MD, of British Columbia Cancer, brought together experts in pathology, research, clinical care, and patient advocacy to address these challenges. Attendees discussed cutting-edge research techniques and promising new treatment approaches, including targeted therapies and immunotherapies. A key outcome was the development of a Research Roadmap identifying critical infrastructure needs to accelerate progress. Advancing care for people with T-cell lymphoma requires ongoing collaboration across disciplines, and the Foundation is supporting these efforts to help improve patient outcomes.
Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T-Cell Therapy Stakeholder Summit
Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy represents a potentially life-saving treatment for lymphoma patients, yet significant barriers limit access for many eligible individuals. Challenges in referral pathways, treatment center capacity, financial coverage, and care coordination continue to restrict access across diverse patient populations. The Foundation’s CAR T-Cell Therapy Stakeholder Summit, convened in Washington, D.C. in September 2025 and co-chaired by Manali Kamdar, MD, of University of Colorado and Paolo Strati, MD, of MD Anderson Cancer Center, with Gilles Salles, MD, PhD, of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, serving as senior advisor, brought together key stakeholder groups to identify barriers and develop actionable solutions. Participants included patients, care partners, clinicians from community and accredited CAR T centers, and representatives from industry, CMS, and advocacy organizations. The solutions developed will help guide future efforts to expand access, improve coordination, and ensure advances lead to better outcomes for patients.
Support Services
A diagnosis of lymphoma or chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) can bring about many different emotions and numerous questions, whether you are newly diagnosed or seeking help with long-term survivorship. The Foundation offers a wide range of support services for people with lymphoma and their loved ones through the Lymphoma Research Foundation Helpline. In 2025, trained Helpline staff provided individualized information on types of lymphoma, diagnostic tests, treatment options, potential side effects, and the latest in research to more than 12,000 patients and care partners.

In 2025, the Foundation hosted over 40 educational programs that bring experts and the community together, empowering patients to take an in their treatment plan.
Patient Education Services
The Lymphoma Research Foundation provides educational programming tailored to different phases of the lymphoma journey, providing clear, accessible information for patients and care partners. All programs are expert-led.
Ask the Doctor About Lymphoma is a monthly virtual program consisting of a lymphoma overview and an extensive questionand-answer session. Each program was tailored for either newly diagnosed or relapsed/refractory patients. Four additional programs were held in Spanish.
Lymphoma Talks are weekday evening in-person programs that provide information about lymphoma in three breakout sessions: aggressive lymphomas, indolent lymphomas, and chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma. We hosted talks in six cities around the country.
Living with Lymphoma is a one-day virtual program that provides information on specific subtypes of lymphoma, with a focus on supportive care topics.
Webinars are hour-long programs discussing the diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma subtypes and key research and treatment updates. The Foundation hosted 14 webinars in 2025.
The Educational Forum on Lymphoma virtual comprehensive conference that provides detailed information about the diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma and CLL, clinical trials, research advances, supportive care, and disease management. Previously an in-person event, the transition to a virtual format significantly increased accessibility and participation, reaching 1,500 registrants in 2025.

Fundraising Events
The Lymphoma Research Foundation provides opportunities for members of the lymphoma community and their friends to support innovative research and patient care by attending and sponsoring unique events across the country. Here are just a few examples of events that propelled the Foundation’s work in 2025.
2nd Annual Emerging Philanthropist Gala
On October 24, 300 of New York’s leading young philanthropists united at The Bowery Hotel to celebrate advancements in lymphoma research, patient care, and the dedicated individuals who help make this possible, while raising $200,000. The event was co-chaired by Alexandra Rose, Isabel Sessions, and Margot Werner. The Benefit Committee included Dominic Couzens, Avery Hoffman, Caroline Kaine, Gabrielle McLymont, and Claire Shea.
Partners in Purpose Chicago
On May 29, nearly 300 guests gathered in Chicago for Partners in Purpose, chaired by Sonali M. Smith, MD, FASCO. The evening honored Lymphoma Research Foundation grantee Adam DuVall, MD, MPH, of the University of Chicago Medicine, for his dedication to patient care and groundbreaking work, as well as content creator Anthony Corrado for his impactful awareness and fundraising efforts. Guests raised more than $165,000 to support lymphoma research and patient support services.
2nd Annual South Florida Golf Invitational
On May 5, the Foundation’s South Florida Golf Invitational brought together more than 21 sponsors and 72 golfers at La Gorce Country Club in Miami, Florida. Chaired by Foundation board member Leigh Olson and her husband Cory, the event raised over $415,000. The Invitational honored Walter Andrews with the Advocate Award for his leadership and dedication to advancing awareness and fundraising. The Foundation is deeply grateful to its generous sponsors and supporters who made the event possible.
Lymphoma Walk Series
In summer 2025, hundreds of patients, survivors, families, and supporters gathered in Minneapolis, New York, and Chicago to honor those impacted by lymphoma and CLL. The Lymphoma Walk series raised over $430,000 for research and support services, and recognized Gita Thanarajasingam, MD, of Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Justin Kline, MD, of University of Chicago Medicine, and Justine Kahn, MD, of Columbia University Medical Center for their leadership in lymphoma research and patient care.
30th Anniversary Annual Gala
On November 14, more than 450 guests gathered to celebrate the Foundation’s 30th anniversary and honor advancements in lymphoma research and care. Kristi and Liam Hendriks received the Distinguished Leadership Award, and Eli Lilly and Company was presented with the Corporate Leadership Award. The event raised over $1.8 million for research and support.
Foundation Endurance Program
Each year, dedicated supporters take on endurance events to benefit the Lymphoma Research Foundation. In 2025, runners and cyclists nationwide raised more than $243,000 to advance critical lymphoma research, participating in events such as the Lymphoma Research Ride, the TCS New York City Marathon, the Boston Marathon, the Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon, the Hamptons Marathon, the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon, and the Amica Newport Marathon.

Each year, thousands of supporters find ways to turn fun into fundraising and host unique fundraisers to support the Lymphoma Research Foundation. Inspired by a close friend diagnosed with lymphoma, Jamie combined a love of fashion with her desire to raise funds to support the Foundation’s mission. She leveraged the reach of her business, the Coharie Coastal Boutique in Carolina Beach, NC, to organize the Coharie Coastal Boutique Fashion Show, raising $10,000!

What better way to celebrate a birthday than to support research that will help others celebrate more birthdays?
Special thanks to Ellen Walker, whose tradition of celebrating her birthday raising funds to support our mission continues a special and longtime partnership between the Lymphoma Research Foundation and the Paul Foundation, founded in memory of Ellen’s son. This year’s mini golf was a good time and great success, raising more than $6,000.

Leo Cohen & Family, Leo’s Bar Mitzvah
After Leo’s father was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma, Leo decided to fundraise for the Lymphoma Research Foundation for his Bar Mitzvah project. More than 200 family members and friends responded with overwhelming generosity and Leo raised an impressive $40,000 to support the lymphoma community!
Endurance Athlete of the Year
Jeff Sklar, Oceanman Swim
Jeff dedicated his November half Oceanman swim, a 5,000-meter open water race, to his mother and the Lymphoma Research Foundation. Challenging his entire network to donate, Jeff’s Miami Beach swim was a huge success, raising more than $43,000 and securing donations from more than 175 friends, family and contacts.

Congratulations to Mindy and Joann, for leading their outstanding walk team, Stronger Together! Stronger Together joined us at the Chicago Lymphoma Walk at beautiful Montrose Harbor, raising more than $10,000 to support research and patient services.
My goal was to raise funds and awareness for the Foundation so that scientists are able to conduct more research to help patients and their loved ones better navigate lymphoma. I think the more we can all do to move the needle, the better.

Corporate Champion Microsoft
The Foundation was honored to partner with Microsoft employees for a special virtual volunteer activity in October 2025 as part the company’s annual Give Campaign. Colleagues rallied around friend and co-worker, Chris Lauren, who celebrated lymphoma survivorship with a run in the New York Marathon that raised nearly $40,000 combined to support our mission.

Katie Palay & Catherine Wang, District 35, Hearts & Minds in Motion
A lymphoma survivor and mom of two, Katie worked with Glencoe, Illinois’ District 35 to organize Hearts and Minds in Motion. Students enjoyed outdoor games, learning about healthy lifestyle choices, and the importance of giving back. The fun, family-friendly Saturday morning event attracted hundreds of families and raised $10,000!
Josephine Majkowski Lifetime Achievement Award
Wendy S. Harpham, MD & AED UT Dallas, Color Run
This special new honor celebrating the important role of care partners was presented to Wendy Harpham, MD and the Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED) chapter at the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Harpham, a 35-year survivor, has mentored a generation of pre-med students, championing the Lymphoma Research Foundation and inspiring many to choose careers in oncology. Each year, AED hosts a Color Run fundraiser in support of the Foundation, cumulatively raising more than $20,000.

Adam Hammock & Team, Rey Diaz Memorial Golf Tournament
Adam led a team of friends and family to host a golf tournament to celebrate the life and legacy of their good friend, Rey, who touched many lives on and off the golf course. ‘Rey had an incredible impact on us all, and I was proud to be able to honor him by giving back to the Foundation and furthering their mission to eradicate this cancer,’ shared Adam. After a year of careful planning, 147 golfers toasted to Rey and raised more than $20,000 to support the Foundation.
