For example, through the use of bluemint® Steel from thyssenkrupp, with which KALDEWEI heralded a new era in sanitary manufacturing. 100 percent CO2 is saved in the steel production at thyssenkrupp. If the emissions from the upstream chain such as extraction and transport of the raw materials are taken into account, the final product has a 70% lower CO2 footprint according to the internationally recognised Green House Gas Protocol (GHG). We produce them 100 percent made in Germany. Directly at the company location. The entire production of shower surfaces, bathtubs and washbasins takes place on site at the headquarters. From there, no product leaves the premises until it has been thoroughly checked by human hands and eyes and finally certified before it can make its way to the customer.

Our steel enamel stays like new for decades. The surfaces are scratch and impact resistant, heat resistant, remain colourfast even after decades, are timelessly beautiful and robust. Steel enamel is easy to care for like no other material in the bathroom. This makes it as sterile and hygienic as possible because nothing sticks to it. And to ensure it stays that way, we have been continuously expanding our material expertise for four generations and continue to research even better solutions every day.

When it comes to bathroom hygiene, steel enamel is the gold standard. This is because germs do not like smooth, pore-free surfaces. Every bathroom is a sensitive hygiene area due to the widely varying temperatures and high humidity.

In less durable and more open materials, such as tiled shower surfaces and their joints, scratches and cracks form gradually, in which uninvited, microscopic guests can nestle. And stay there too. The KALDEWEI MEISTERSTÜCK OYO DUO is a masterpiece of German engineering, in an unprecedented egg shape made of steel enamel. With this free-standing bathtub, Stefan Diez has created a graceful design sculpture that integrates harmoniously into the bathroom space, flowing and almost floating. Inspired by Japanese porcelain design, the double-walled product impresses with its minimal organic lines and elegant functionality.

Thanks to KALDEWEI’s many years of experience, the interior shape of the KALDEWEI MEISTERSTÜCK OYO DUO offers maximum lying comfort and at the same time the possibility of using water as a resource in an environmentally friendly way. Its exterior shape follows the idea of elegance, lightness and naturalness. The design gives the impression of a free-flowing form that has just touched down, appears to be floating and is calmly still.

Photographer and rock star Bryan Adams has photographed for KALDEWEI for the third time and completes the trilogy of bathroom staging.

KALDEWEI’s collaboration with the Canadian rock musician and internationally acclaimed photographer Bryan Adams is entering its third phase.

The new campaign impressively puts the free-standing MEISTERSTÜCK OYO DUO bathtub on centre stage.

Bryan Adams shoots from a distant perspective so that the model’s entire body is never visible. This seeks to give the impression that the bare arms and back merge with the bathtub in a luxurious yet intimate spa moment. The claim of the campaign “Enveloped in sustainable luxury” not only refers to the perfect me-time, but also, with the new motifs of the OYO DUO, to the completion of the Kaldewei trilogy of washing, showering and bathing.
