Painted Finishes
Hurlingham radiators are finished using a durable high quality 2 pack acrylic paint. With our team of experienced paint technicians, we are able to colour match to any RAL, British Standard or branded paint products. We also offer a range of metallic paint finishes. We offer a free of charge swatch service to ensure you are satisfied with your colour selection prior to manufacturing your order
These can all be further enhanced by selecting from either matt, satin, semi-gloss or full gloss finishes
Hand Bur nished Finish
The hand burnished finish is achieved by using a ceramic filled de-burring bowl to smooth the surface, each section is then finished by hand using abrasives and a polishing mop to bring to a burnished finish. If required, the bare metal can be sealed with protective coating to prevent the surface tarnishing. If you choose not to have the process applied, radiators will require periodic maintenance using a light oil and fine wire wool.
Highlight Polish
Following a coating of paint, typically satin black which contrasts well, the raised detail of the decoration on the castings is hand polished back to bare metal. If required, the highlighted sections can be sealed with protective coating to prevent the surface tarnishing If you choose not to have the process applied, radiators will require periodic maintenance using a light oil and fine wire wool
Empress Radiators – 2, 3 & 4 Column
Available in a selection of fixed sectional sizes with a choice of heights and columns These radiators are floor mounted

Deliveries
Deliveries are palletised and are on a kerbside only basis. The goods must be inspected for damage prior to signing for consignment, any transit damage must be identified at this point and the goods returned with the driver
Cast iron radiators are very heavy, you must ensure that adequate and appropriate manpower/lifting equipment is used whilst manoeuvring your radiators into position. This should be a minimum of 2 people per radiator.
The most common cause of leaks is the strain on the gaskets when carrying the radiator incorrectly. You must ensure that the radiator is only moved in the upright position once removed from the pallet to prevent flexing of the seals. The most common method is to support the radiator between the fins by using a suitable support bar at each end
Due to our radiators being bespoke and hand assembled, variations in seal compression and the machined faces can occur We are able to supply measurements prior to dispatch once we have completed the assembly process should you require them
Hurlingham accepts no responsibility for customers/clients who choose to install pipework prior to having their cast iron radiators delivered to site
