Bringing a bathroom together often comes down to the details. By extending the same finishes across a considered selection of taps, handles, flush plates, and fittings, Calypso makes it easier to create spaces that feel cohesive and well resolved.

Chrome, Matt Black, Brushed Brass Brushed Bronze, and Gunmetal are now available across key elements of the bathroom, allowing each detail to sit comfortably alongside the next. The result is a space that feels intentional rather than assembled, with finishes that work quietly together.

These coordinated finishes are available across selected basin, tall, and wall mounted taps, furniture handles, flush plates and buttons, as well as smaller details such as overflow rings and hinge covers. Each has been chosen to support a more unified bathroom without unnecessary complexity.

New textured finishes for Chiltern & Chelworth

Chiltern introduces two new Contour finishes that extend the collection’s familiar wood grain character. Contour Soft Green offers a light, muted tone, while Contour Porcelain brings a warm, understated white. Together, they add depth to the collection while maintaining the calm, framed presence Chiltern is known for.

Our Fitted Furniture is designed with simplicity and functionality in mind. This brief guide will walk you through the straightforward steps to assemble a run of Fitted Furniture for your bathroom.

When you order Fitted Furniture, the unit carcass is the foundation – the core pre-assembled structure. Along with the carcass, you’ll need fascias, the front panels that define your furniture’s external appearance, end panels covering the sides of the carcass for a seamless look, and plinths, concealing the space underneath the unit. Some collections may also offer decorative elements that can be added to enhance the overall aesthetic of your furniture. When you order using a unit kit code, everything you need is included. The pre-assembled carcass simplifies the installation process. Fascias, end panels, and plinths are then applied, providing a refined finish to your Fitted Furniture.

How to Order Guide: Overflow Rings

When it comes to basins, getting the details right can make all the difference, especially when you’re matching them with brassware and handles. That’s where understanding overflow rings becomes essential. These rings not only ensure your basin works properly but also play a role in enhancing its overall look and feel. Use the table below to find the right overflow for your basin and then choose the colour that best matches your bathroom:

Basins with no overflow:

These basins do not have an overflow. Therefore, there’s no need for an overflow ring. We recommend using a free-flowing unslotted waste with these basins.

Basins with built-in overflow:

Some basins come with an overflow that is glazed or designed as an integral part of the basin. In such cases, an overflow ring does not apply.

Basins with a standard overflow:

These basins come with a chrome overflow ring as standard. However, the overflow ring is interchangeable, meaning you can change it to match your bathroom.

Calypso Essential Information

Product Specifications

Door Finishes and Carcass Colours All our door finishes are supplied by default with the complementary carcass colour indicated on the inside front cover of this brochure.

If you require a different combination of fascia and carcass finish, you must specify each separately using individual product codes (shown within the ‘Breakdown’ section). The relevant finish codes need to be added to each product code when ordering. For exact colour matching, please request a sample by calling 01432 367 367.

Carcasses All carcasses and fascias are pre-drilled and marked for fittings, with fully adjustable all-steel soft-close hinges on doors and soft-close drawer runners featuring four-way fascia adjustment. Carcasses are supplied with hinges, wall-fix brackets, and fittings; base units include adjustable legs and plinth fittings.

Please note that all plinths, end panels and handles must be ordered separately. The unit dimensions shown are overall installed measurements including fascias and plinths. 661mm carcasses are supplied with 150mm legs and 561mm carcasses come with 250mm legs.

You can also choose between three finished base unit depths—218mm, 303mm, and 443mm. All carcasses are made from 18mm MFC and finished with PVC edging.

Taking Care of Your Calypso Products

Ventilation and Moisture Control Calypso bathroom furniture is designed for use in domestic environments, making good ventilation essential to prevent damage from excessive moisture—whether on surfaces or in the air. A suitable extractor fan is strongly recommended to avoid condensation and its associated risks. Please note that Calypso timber-based fitted furniture should never be installed in wetrooms.

Sealing and Spills Any cut or exposed panel edges, and any floor or wall abutments with furniture or sanitaryware, must be sealed with a waterproof sealant such as silicone. Wipe clean and mop dry all water spills immediately.

Disclaimers and Terms

All stocked products are usually dispatched within 72 hours of ordering. It is important when ordering and booking installations that sufficient time is allowed between product delivery and installation. This allows for inspection of goods and, if necessary, re-delivery of any rejected or damaged items.

Doors, Plinths and End Panels All doors, plinths, and end panels are constructed with an 18mm MDF furniture-grade core, ensuring durability and a high-quality finish. There are three available options to choose from: vinyl wrap, painted, and cut and edged. To maintain the warranty, any cut edges must be properly sealed.

For those looking for a natural wood option, the solid oak door features a 70x20mm solid oak frame with an oak-veneered centre panel. As with all natural materials, variations in shade and grain should be expected, adding to the unique character of each piece.

Laminate Worktops Laminate worktops are formed using a particle board core with a decorative laminate surface and balancer on the underside. They are offered in options of square edged and postformed designs and are pre-sealed on all edges. Additional edging strip can be purchased to finish any cut edges.

Decor End Panels When planning, remember to allow for décor end panels on any exposed end-of-run base or wall unit carcass, adding 18mm for each end panel required.

Plinths Our 250mm plinth can also be used as a flyover shelf for additional design features.

Assembly and Drilling All carcasses are supplied fully assembled, with doors and fascia panels packed separately for fitting after installation to help avoid damage. Door and drawer fronts are supplied undrilled for handles, giving you maximum flexibility in handle choice.

Slimline Basin Units Slimline basin units require reduceddepth semi-recessed basins. Calypso units are designed at a height that allows good access underneath to run soil pipes and water feeds, with a choice of 150mm or 250mm plinths.

Soil Pipe Access Due to space restrictions in slimline units, the rear legs should be removed to run a soil pipe through. Rigidity is maintained by the front legs and wall fixings.

Concealed WC Cisterns All our concealed WC cisterns allow front-access servicing. If you use a different manufacturer’s cistern, please check service-access requirements.

Dimensional Tolerance Because of materials and production processes, dimensions may vary within a tolerance of ±2mm on furniture, ±3mm on cast basins, and ±5mm on ceramic.

Unwanted (Good-Faith) Items Items ordered and delivered in good faith but no longer required will incur a 25% handling and re-stocking charge. Non-required items can only be accepted for return if they are returned in their original packaging, have not been fitted in any way (this includes having legs fitted to carcasses) and are in a resaleable condition.

Credit Approval Credit will be given once goods are received, inspected, and signed off. All goods under this policy should be returned to the retailer from whom they were purchased.

Credit Refusal If goods fail inspection, a credit refusal number is assigned and a written reason is provided by email. Goods will be held for 7 days before disposal. Any query regarding refusal must be logged within a 7-day period.

Cleaning Products Never use chemical or abrasive cleaners, bleach, or furniture polishes on bathroom furniture. Clean only with a soft damp cloth and mild soap solution.

Solid Oak An occasional application of wax-based furniture polish will maintain its finish. Do not use household cleaners or abrasive powders on oak. Remove spills immediately with a soft damp cloth and mild detergent; excessive moisture will darken the oak surface.

Ceramic Sanitaryware Clean with a damp cloth and warm soapy water. Rinse with clean water and polish with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive solvents, acid, or ammonia.

Cast Basins Calypso cast basins are manufactured from a mineral powder/polyester resin, protected by a gelcoat of at least 0.5mm thickness. Clean with a normal liquid detergent (no abrasives) and buff with a quality polish to keep tops in pristine condition.

Brassware Clean with a damp cloth, rinse, and polish with a dry cloth. Avoid cleaners containing abrasive solvents, acid, or ammonia.
