Whether you are joining us for our Infant and Junior School Celebration Day or our Senior School President’s Day, today is about recognising the achievements, character and growth of every pupil.

A welcome from our School Principal Prize Giving offers us a special opportunity not only to celebrate achievement, but to reflect on the journey behind it. At LVS Ascot, we are proud of a school culture that values far more than examination results alone. We celebrate character, resilience, creativity, kindness and the courage to keep striving, even when challenges arise. Our mission of “Transforming Lives, Unleashing Potential” sits at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that every young person is supported to grow, discover their strengths and flourish both academically and personally. Our pupils continue to excel across academics, sport, the performing arts, leadership, service and innovation, demonstrating the breadth of talent and ambition that defines our community. In a rapidly changing world, education must prepare young people not simply to succeed in tests, but to think deeply, adapt confidently and flourish as compassionate and capable individuals ready for the future. This year has once again reminded us that challenge and opportunity are often closely connected. Some of the greatest growth emerges from moments that test us, requiring courage, determination and collective support. That is true for our pupils as individuals and equally true for our school community as a whole. What continues to inspire us is the optimism, energy and humanity shown by our young people each day. The achievements celebrated in this programme therefore represent far more than awards; they represent perseverance, growth and the extraordinary potential that exists within every pupil. As we celebrate together today, we do so with immense pride, confidence and excitement for all that lies ahead for LVS Ascot and the remarkable young people at the heart of it as they continue to flourish. King Constantine Medal This prestigious honour is presented by Round Square to a student from a Round Square Global Member School who exemplifies the Round Square philosophy and its IDEALS: Internationalism, Democracy, Environment, Leadership and Service.
building at Gordonstoun, where the inaugural conference was held in 1967. For more than fifty years, His Majesty remained closely involved with Round Square as both Chair and later President.
The medal is named after King Constantine II, the last King of Greece, who reigned from 1964 until the monarchy was abolished in 1973. King Constantine chaired the first meeting of the initial seven schools that would become the Round Square movement, named after the Round Square
A day to reflect and celebrate Serving as Chair of Governors over the last three years, it has been a real privilege to be part of such a special community and this year has once again shown what makes LVS Ascot the school it is. Our pupils continue to impress in so many different ways. They have performed academically, creatively and on the sports field, but more importantly through the way they support each other every day. What stands out most is the confidence, kindness and character they show across the school - this is of course helped by the dedication of our staff and the support of parents and families. There have been many highlights over the past 12 months, from strong academic results and excellent performances in sport and the arts, to the countless quieter moments that reflect the caring culture of the school. The sense of community at LVS Ascot remains one of its greatest strengths. I would like to thank the Senior Leadership Team, staff and my fellow Governors for their hard work, commitment and support throughout my time as Chair. As I now move into another role within the Licensed Trade Charity Education Group, I am very pleased to hand the baton over to Paul Pavli. The school will be in very safe hands and I know he will continue to support and challenge the school with great care and commitment. 4

LVS Ascot PTFA Our PTFA works openly, inclusively and sustainably to enrich the experience of children attending LVS Ascot. Brought together by this common goal, we have fun doing it and we make new friends along the way! Our PTFA members are volunteers who commit their skills and time to fundraising and school social events, including a family inflatables day, disco, Easter hunt, Christmas raffle, mufti days and our annual visit from Santa. This year, we introduced half-term doughnut days and, in collaboration with the PE department, we also held our first ever whole-school colour run. So, it’s been another busy year! PTFA funds contribute to school projects which are not already covered in the budget. Following continued fundraising success, we were delighted to allocate over £20,000 in funding this academic year, towards various school projects and initiatives including new theatre lighting, rolling team shelters and performance-tracking vests for the sports department and a STEM discovery centre. Our charitable objective to enrich the experience of LVS pupils is underpinned by our principles of sustainability, inclusivity and local community. Doing our bit towards a sustainable future means we make conscious choices in the use and re-use of materials, and we promote fundraising through donating secondhand clothes with our Little Recyclers clothing bank.
Our second-hand uniform shop has continued to thrive. Offering cheaper, more sustainable options for buying uniforms, it remains our greatest single source of fundraising, making over £8,000. By choosing second-hand uniform, families have collectively saved over £43,000 compared to buying new. Thank you to our generous donors and to everyone who chooses to buy from us. You can continue to get in touch for uniform online at uniform@lvsascotptfa.org. As a registered charity, our proper governance and constitution are critical to our success. The core PTFA committee meets fortnightly and we hold official termly meetings and an AGM where all members are welcome. Celebration Day Infant and Junior School Flourishing Together: A celebration of curiosity, courage and community This year in the Infant and Junior School has been full of moments and memories that remind us what childhood should feel like — joyful, safe and full of possibility. Our children have shown curiosity in their learning, courage in trying new things and kindness in the way they support one another. They have asked big questions, taken brave steps and discovered that learning is something we do best when we do it together. Across the year, pupils have enjoyed a wide range of experiences: sporting fixtures, musical performances, outdoor adventures, creative projects, charity events and class celebrations. We are proud of every achievement — from the pupils receiving awards today to the quiet successes that happen daily in classrooms, on the playground and in the small moments of perseverance and collaboration that often go unseen.

Our staff deserve heartfelt thanks for the care, energy and commitment they bring to school life. They know each child well and work tirelessly to help them grow in confidence as well as skill. We are equally grateful to our parents for their support, encouragement and partnership throughout the year; it makes an enormous difference. We also extend our sincere thanks to the School Governors and the LTC Education Group for their guidance and belief in the vision of IJS. Their support helps us continue to offer a school experience where children feel valued, inspired and ready to take on new challenges. Today is a celebration of our whole community. Pupils, staff, families and friends and of a year in which we have truly flourished together.

Named Prizes Infant and Junior The Anita Adams Prizes Awards given by Anita Adams, former Chair of LVS Ascot’s Governing Body, for a variety of achievements across the school.
The Alan Quinn Head of Boarding Prize Alan was a student at LVS Ascot from 1947-1958 and always felt that he had so much to thank the school for that he wished to give something back to support future students.
The Knowland Prize For English, given in memory of a former English teacher at LVS Ascot.
The James and Mary Mulroy Trophy for Achievement The Mulroys were life-long supporters of the Charity and James served as Governor of the Society of Licensed Victuallers. These awards are donated by the family in recognition of James and Mary’s achievements in promoting and serving the Charity.
Edgar Lewis Prize for PE/Games Edgar Lewis (“Eddie”) was born in Penge in 1925, served in the Royal Navy during the Second World War and later became Finance Director of Fred Olsen Cruises after studying accountancy at night school. A lifelong sports enthusiast and supporter of his former school, he died aged 95 in 2020.

The Mulroys were life-long supporters of the Charity and James served as Governor of the Society of Licensed Victuallers. These awards are donated by the family in recognition of James and Mary’s achievements in promoting and serving the Charity.
A Junior School student who passed away in 2008 and whose parents set up the charity ‘Christopher’s Smile’ in his memory.
Cecilia Smiga A Music teacher at LVS Ascot who passed away suddenly in 2013 while employed at the school.
The Hitchcock Prize for Music
Graham Evans Graham was a publican with a long association with the schools. He became Governor of the former Society of Licensed Victuallers (2000-2001) and his son attended LVS Ascot.

Donated by former pupil Megan Hitchcock to recognise musical talent and contribution to school.
Graham was Head of Science and an Oxford graduate. He taught for many years at Presentation College and was passionate about both the school and his subject.

Sixth Form ‘Spirit of LVS Ascot Awards’ Sixth Form Awards: These awards can range from 20% - 50% off day fees and are awarded to students joining our Sixth Form who excel in one or more academic / vocational subjects and who contribute significantly to school life. To apply: Students should submit a letter to James Thomson indicating why they feel they are a suitable candidate and outline the benefits they will gain from an award. The letters will be used along with recommendations from the tutor and / or subject teacher(s). The deadline for applications is Friday 2nd October 2026. Parents: Please write to James Thomson directly if you would like to add any comments in support of the application that are not addressed in your child’s letter. This is not a formal requirement to be considered for an award. Licensed Trade discounts: LVS Ascot is owned and managed by the Licensed Trade Charity. Our first school opened in 1803 to educate children with parents from the licensed drinks trade and we continue to support 18
licensed drinks trade people and offer discounted rates. If you have worked in the licensed drinks trade, full-time (or the equivalent of ) for 5 years, you could be entitled to a 20% discount. The Charity also offers Senior School Scholarships for families in the licensed drinks trade, for entry into any year in Senior School. To find out more information about scholarships and bursaries contact admissions@lvs.ascot.sch.uk Parents who attended the school since 1985 are entitled to a 10% alumni discount for their children to join LVS Ascot and academic senior managers working in a school or college / university or living within a 5 mile radius of the school are also eligible for a discount.

Reflecting on Sport This year, sport at LVS Ascot has continued to flourish across all areas of the school. Pupils have shown impressive teamwork, perseverance and camaraderie, all while developing their individual talents and contributing to an exceptional year of sporting success. In the Infant and Junior School, sport has gone from strength to strength. Once again this year, nearly every pupil from Years 3–6 has taken part in competitive fixtures across a wide range of sports, including football, rugby, netball, hockey, cricket, athletics and cross country. Year 1 & 2 pupils also had a memorable introduction to competition, taking part in their first local friendlies, including a fantastic mini-Olympics fixture with local schools. Among the many fixtures and tournaments, one of the standout achievements was the U11 boys winning the ISA Regional Football Cup and going on to Nationals at St Georges Park, an incredible achievement. Pupils also proudly represented the school in regular fixtures, tournaments and inter-school competitions, demonstrating great sportsmanship, resilience and enthusiasm throughout the year. Sport across the Senior School has once again showcased exceptional breadth and success. Pupils across all age groups have taken part in ISA national tournaments, county tournaments and leagues in sports such as football, basketball, cricket, athletics, netball, hockey and rugby, as well as numerous friendly matches. The hockey programme delivered several standout moments, with the U15 girls placing second in the Berkshire Cup and the U16 girls achieving claiming a second successive Berkshire Cup win to be crowned champions. Football has reached new heights with the launch of our Southampton FC partnership. We have seen huge success and a wealth of fixtures across the boys and girls programmes. The highlights were the U15s’ impressive win at the ISA National tournament to be crowned 6 a-side national champions. The U13 girls matched this achievement also being crowned ISA national champions, as well as winning the East Berkshire Football League for a second successive year. Swimming remains a major strength, with excellent performances at the ISA Regional Finals, seeing four pupils qualifying to represent the London West region at the London Aquatic Centre in the ISA Nationals.

Another highlight in the pool, came in the form of diving with Cai Tobin at the Swim England South East Regionals, where he won gold in the 1m and 3m springboard and silver on the 7.5m platform, going on to compete in the Swim England National Competition. Cross country athletes continued to shine on the national stage. Evan McGrail finished 2nd at the Berkshire Counties and going on to represent the South Region at the England Schools National Cross Country Championships. At the ISA regionals, Ben Robinson placed 1st, with Savelii Burdeinyi and Elin Perera running superbly for top 10 finishes. All three represented the school at the ISA National Championships. Years 6–9 enjoyed a football and rugby tour to Lisbon in October, combining elite coaching from academy professionals with cultural excursions in the city. In February, pupils in Years 10–13 embarked on an unforgettable cricket, netball and football tour to Barbados, enjoying a fantastic blend of competitive sport, cultural experiences and local cuisine. The tour provided lifelong memories as pupils immersed themselves in the vibrant Bajan culture both on and off the field. Meanwhile, we hosted the first ever LVS Ascot Colour Run in partnership with the PTFA, bringing together pupils and parents for a morning full of fun, laughter and community spirit. The event was a huge success, with everyone enjoying the vibrant atmosphere and taking part in the colourful celebrations together. This is definitely an event that will return and hopefully become an annual highlight in the sports calendar. As another successful year of sport at LVS Ascot comes to a close, we would like to thank everyone who has played a part in our thriving sporting community, including our dedicated pupils, supportive parents, committed staff and hardworking grounds team. Your continued enthusiasm, encouragement and effort are what make sport at LVS Ascot such a valued part of school life. We wish everyone a restful and well-earned summer break and look forward to welcoming you back to the sports fields next academic year.

Reflecting on Performing Arts The 2025–2026 academic year has been another exceptional year for Performing Arts, with students achieving remarkable success across Drama, Dance and Music whilst continuing to embrace new opportunities both on and off the stage. The year began with strong performances at the Woking Music Festival, where students achieved numerous honours, placings and trophy wins. This success continued throughout the year, with students representing the school at local and national competitions. Our dancers enjoyed particular success at the Tone and Poise Dance Competition, Downe House Dance Competition and the Ascot Schools Dance Competition, achieving a number of individual and group awards, as well as our Year 7 and 8 scholars competing in the ISA Dance Final. In Drama, students excelled at the ISA Drama Competition, where LVS Ascot was awarded Best Devised Performance and Sonya A was recognised with the Best Character Award. Students also represented the school in the National Youth Monologues Competition, where LVS Ascot was named South East Regional Winner. We were also delighted to host National Youth Theatre auditions for a number of our highly able actors, providing students with direct access to one of the UK’s leading theatre organisations, many achieving places on their summer programme. Music students continued to thrive throughout the year. At the Woodley Festival, students achieved an impressive number of first, second and third-place awards, with trophies won for Musical Theatre, Shakespeare, Brass and Pop/Jazz performance. Our Jazz Band was awarded Best Ensemble, whilst our Parent and Staff Choir competed for the first time and achieved an excellent second place. The Junior School Choir also enjoyed success at the Richmond Festival, placing third in their category - this is an excellent achievement for them and for Year 12 pupil, Sophie, who leads the Choir. Performance opportunities remained at the heart of the department. In October, students embarked on an exciting Performing Arts residential trip to New York, experiencing world-class theatre, workshops and cultural opportunities that inspired and developed their understanding of the performing arts industry. In November, our Sixth Form students led and performed in Curtain Up, a showcase demonstrating
outstanding creativity, leadership and performance skills, followed by another successful show, Encore, in May. The department also hosted its annual Young Actor, Young Singer, Young Musician and Young Dancer competitions, which showcased an exceptional standard of performance. External adjudicators commented on the remarkable level of talent on display and the maturity, creativity and professionalism demonstrated by students across all age groups. Our House Performing Arts competition was another highlight of the year, bringing together students from across the school in an evening of outstanding entertainment, expertly coordinated and led by our Sixth Form students. December saw our production of Sister Act, an excellent piece of theatre performed by Year 10-13 students and supported by students from Year 7-13 in the crew and band. In May, over 70 students auditioned for Barnum, our largest production of the year, which featured an immersive pre-show experience, circus skills, aerial performance and two principal casts. Examination results were once again outstanding. All students entered for LAMDA examinations achieved Distinction and a special mention goes to Sophie in Year 12 who received 97% for her Grade 8 Musical Theatre examination. Looking ahead, we are excited to continue expanding the opportunities available to our students. This summer, LVS Ascot will make its debut at the worldrenowned Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where students will perform an original adaptation of Antigone. This marks a significant milestone for the department and reflects our commitment to providing ambitious, professional-level experiences for our young performers. The year has been filled with creativity, achievement and memorable experiences and we are incredibly proud of everything our students have accomplished. We look forward to building on this success in the years ahead.

A key focus has been our support for Thames Hospice through the Trunks Across the Thames art trail. LVS Ascot has created two baby elephants for the public trail running from 13th July to 13th September. Our elephants, Indlovu (Infant and Junior School) and Ellie V. S. (Senior School), will take their places on the trail, and we hope our community will enjoy finding them across the summer. Fundraising has been a true whole-school effort, including painted elephant magnet auctions, Christmas baubles, mufti days, House Charity Week and the Trunks of Treasure auction. Together, these initiatives have brought staff, parents and pupils together in a shared effort to support an important local cause, while also fostering creativity, collaboration and a strong sense of community. We are, as always, humbled by the generosity of our LVS Ascot family. Thank you to everyone who has contributed, supported and taken part this year. Your continued kindness and commitment make a genuine difference.

The LVSingers (Staff-Parent Choir) began in late 2012 with the plan to sing just one song – and it grew from there! Over the last few years, we have held numerous services and concerts raising many thousands of pounds for charity. You do not have to be able to read music to join – just a willingness to get stuck in and have a go. All the songs are chosen with great care – most very well-known – and cover a range of genres to suit all tastes.

Trips and visits at LVS Ascot Residential trips are the highlight of many of our students’ experiences at LVS Ascot. They offer a chance to learn through realworld experiences by encouraging students to be adventurous, to meet new people and to engage with diverse cultures. Recent trips have included the Moroccan Round Square trip, the Geography trip to Greece, Barbados sports tour and the various exchanges to locations such as Australia and France. 26
