THE MESSAGING BEHIND LHM. As the proud new owner of the renowned and iconic brand we all know as Luxury Home Magazine (LHM), I wanted to take a moment to share my journey and the evolution that brought me to this incredible opportunity. But first, a little about me. I’m a second-generation Arizona native — born and raised in North Scottsdale, where I still call home. I attended ASU (Go Sun Devils!) and earned my degree in marketing and communications. Little did I know, that this would come full circle, with communication and marketing being fundamental to the success of this luxury publication.

Real estate is also in my blood. I grew up surrounded by it, with my mother, Sherry McQueen, working for large REITs and later opening her own brokerage in the early 2000s. I was immersed in real estate contracts from an early age, and it was only natural that 17 years ago, I joined forces with my Mother, specializing in portfolio management. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of navigating both flourishing and challenging market cycles for our portfolio holders, which has fully equipped me to be the best advocate for our luxury partners, as I understand and appreciate the ebbs and flows of the real estate market, as well as the every changing demands of buyers and sellers. Additionally, I’m also honored to serve on the Grievance Committee for the Arizona Association of Realtors, and I am certified to teach renewal courses — so yes, I know my way around this riveting world we call real estate!

Now, let’s fast-forward to last year. My significant other, Mark Monson and I, caught wind that Luxury Home Magazine might be for sale, and immediately, my interest was sparked. With the magazine celebrating 19 years of excellence in November, it holds a rich history that deserves to be celebrated as I carry the torch forward. However, I did not purchase the magazine simply for what it is today. While I’m deeply passionate about real estate and marketing, the true excitement lies in the immense opportunities ahead. In last few months, I’ve made significant strides and have grand plans for the brand and as well as publication itself. One of my goals is to continue perfecting distribution, expanding the reach of LHM into new luxury real estate markets such as Las Vegas, while continuing to expand in Southern California. Furthermore, I’m working on launching an innovative digital marketing company that will revolutionize the way our luxury partners market and target their desired audiences. This much anticipated launch is scheduled for later this year.

In sharing my background and future plans, my hope is to inspire even more excitement and reassure my luxury partners, that you’ve chosen the right partner. Together, we’ll make monumental strides forward.

I HAVE DIED AND WENT TO REAL ESTATE HEAVEN; these were the words I uttered, as I took my first step into “The Manor”. Granted I may be a bit biased, as this gorgeous, Estancia property exudes luxury and drips ceiling to floor in the finest of details. Details of which the proud Sellers and Lifestyle Designers, Eric Jimenez and Garrett Loomis, of Busted 2 Bangin are distinctly known for. Eric and Garrett, have paid tribute to some of their favorite designers, while featuring timeless pieces such as; Hermès throws, Versace China and my personal favorite, the vintage, Louis Vuitton luggage. The designer decor is just the beginning of what truly magnifies this masterpiece, which has been ingeniously named, The Manor. A Manor being defined, as “the mansion of a lord”, which is quite fitting, as this luxurious estate , is indeed fit for a King and Queen.

Just as one would expect from kings, Eric and Garrett, popped a perfectly chilled bottle of Veuve Clicquot, which came from the temperature-controlled wine cellar that chambers, an impressive amount of Veuve, alongside Caymus Cabernets. With perfectly chilled bubbly in hand, I continued my tour of this tantalizing estate. Each room embracing its own moody personality and featuring a show stopping, one-of-a-kind lighting fixture, which is a notorious trait of Garrett Loomis, who has been dubbed the “King of Lighting”. Just when I thought, this property could not get any more inspirational, we entered a separate wing, which currently is where these two creative visionaries, house their office. Much like the rest of the Estate, their office did not disappoint.

Having an inquisitive mind, I had to ask, what was the inspiration behind this truly opulent renovation.

Eric responded, “Old Money”, the vision was

to maintain the integrity of the property as it was, and accentuate features such as the dramatic entrances, crown molding, elevated custom cabinetry, and endless passageways that lead you to the gorgeous tranquil terrain that surrounds the property.
