How did you originally get started in the real estate industry? I came to Austin to work for State Farm Insurance in the regional office in 1984. I had three weeks before I started and I decided to explore the city. I drove throughout the hill country and fell in love with the area. After a week, I decided to enroll in real estate classes and I never looked back.

What differentiates you from other area agents? We work with a diverse array of property types in a large geographic region. Most agents specialize in one area - say luxury homes; our expertise is in ranches, waterfront and luxury throughout Central Texas. We represent buyers and sellers of residential homes in any price range in the greater Austin area.
What do you enjoy doing most as a real estate agent? I would not enjoy sitting at a desk all day; I’d much rather be outdoors. Austin is very outdoor oriented, and I love taking advantage of all that it has to offer. I enjoy meeting people and helping clients find a really great deal. Constantly previewing two-hundred to three-hundred ranches a year and at least twenty houses a week allows me to stay very knowledgeable and up to date with the real estate market. In the end, this knowledge enables me to find the perfect match for a client.
What’s your favorite thing about living in Austin? I love all aspects of Austin. While I certainly enjoy being outdoors, in the hill country, on the lake, at the hike and bike trail or in the Barton Creek greenbelt; I also love the feel of old Austin, downtown and the city core. The vibrancy of the city and it’s ever changing dynamics means there is always something new to explore.
