THE BEST MEWS NINE IS THE MAGIC NUMBER Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese philosophical system of harmonizing people with the surrounding environment, first discovered 6,000 years ago. It examines how the placement of things and objects affect the energy flow in your living area, and how these objects interact with and influence your personal energy flow. In Feng Shui, numbers are said to bring various kinds of luck - both good and bad. The number nine, specifically, is said to nurture family and bring recognition, success and fruition to all those who find themselves linked to the number, by birthday or by any other means. It can also be seen as representative of completion, as it is the last of the single digits, and is often understood to be a sign of longevity due to its similarity to the Chinese spoken word... And so it proved for Ms Lazenby. After the change, the two-bedroom Marylebone home - which was decorated with ‘healthy and ecological choices’ in line with Feng Shui, meaning it contains mostly natural materials, non-chemical varnishes and sacred, open spaces - sold within days. But the Feng Shui didn’t end there. The asking price triggered a number of bizarre coincidences which left both Mr Lloyd Malcolm and Ms Lazenby stunned. As in most sales they didn’t get the asking price. However, both parties agreed on a deal of £1,620,000. Again, those numbers added up to nine - as did the difference between the asking price and the selling price £171,000.
