...WELCOME Orpington FC have always been keen in recent years to be a club that pioneers and puts themselves forwards to be a part of new FA initiatives and opportunities that will either provide more opportunities for the wider community it serves or provide a chance for the club to better itself and find ways to innovate and improve. The clubs committee have forged great working relationships with various officers across the Kent FA team and continue to work tirelessly to ensure the club maintain high standards it has set, with the club always being one of the first clubs to renew its England Football Accreditation, thanks in large due to the work the club do to put its coaches and volunteers through the relevant courses and qualifications. 18 months ago, the FA launched its Thriving Community Club framework, and Orpington FC were one of the first clubs to come onboard and become part of the programme.

...HISTORY Recent Decades: League Success and Community Focus
Since transitioning to the Kent County League, the club has enjoyed notable achievements, including winning Division One West and reaching the Premier Division (runners-up in 2007–08). In 2011, Orpington became a founder member of the Step 6 Kent Invicta Football League (now part of the Southern Counties East Football League), where they achieved strong mid-table finishes and demonstrated resilience through challenges. Today, the club operates as an FA Charter Standard Community Club (recently achieving 3* Thriving Club accreditation), running a wide range of teams: senior men’s and women’s sides, veterans, and a large youth setup with over 35 teams from under-7s to under-21s (including girls’ teams). It serves more than 450–600 players weekly, supported by over 180 dedicated volunteers contributing tens of thousands of hours each year.
