CLUB HISTORY
Bracknell Town Football Club was founded in 1896 as Old Bracknell Wanderers, adopting the name Bracknell F.C. in 1949 and later becoming Bracknell Town in 1962.
The club spent its early years competing in local leagues before climbing through the football pyramid, winning the Surrey Senior League title in 1969/70 and lifting back-toback league cups in 1968/69 and 1969/70. Over the following decades, Bracknell experienced both promotions and relegations, with notable success in 1982/83 when they won the Spartan League and secured promotion to the Isthmian League.

CLUB HISTORY
Over the following decades, Bracknell experienced both promotions and relegations, with notable success in 1982/83 when they won the Spartan League and secured promotion to the Isthmian League.
Our highest-ever league position came in 1985/86, finishing third in Division One, before a period of challenges in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
A turning point came in 2016 under new chairman Kayne SteinbornBusse, who led a major redevelopment of the club’s facilities, including a state-of-the-art 3G pitch and a modern clubhouse. This transformation paved the way for on-field success, with Bracknell earning promotion to Step 4 in 2018 and continuing to compete strongly, narrowly missing out on further promotions.
After the disruption of the Covid-19 seasons, the club moved to Bottom Meadow, Sandhurst in 2021, beginning a new era. The 2021/22 season proved historic as Bracknell secured promotion to Step 3 for the first time, dominating the Isthmian League South Central Division with 96 points.

CLUB HISTORY
In 2022/23, the club reached the first round of the FA Cup, hosted Ipswich Town, and came within a whisker of promotion to Step 2, missing out due to a last-minute goal. The following season saw further investment, including the installation of a cutting-edge 3G pitch, but Bracknell’s playoff dreams were ended in the semi-finals.
In 2024, the club underwent ownership changes, eventually returning to The SB Group under Kayne Steinborn-Busse, with Jordan Ive reinstated as manager for the 2025/26 season.
From its grassroots beginnings to becoming one of the region’s most ambitious clubs, Bracknell Town FC continues to grow both on and off the pitch, with a strong focus on community, development, and competitive success.
