PEOPLE’S BOLEDO BRAD’S SERVED NOTICE; BREACH OF CONTRACT
The Lotteries Committee has pointed out TWELVE well-detailed points where Brads Gaming Group Limited(BGGL) has breached their contract with the government of Belize and thus qualify to have their contract revoked. This will be a TRUE nationalization of an industry that should belong to Belizeans. The planBelize government is being true to its commitment of ending Boledo’s exclusivity and making it benefit the people and nation of Belize. The BGGL has a deadline of Monday January 16 to reply.

December 23, 2022 Mr. Kim Chee Managing Director No. 122 Eve Street Belize City, Belize Government Lotteries Exclusive License 2020-2030 Dear Mr. Chee, We refer to the captioned license and write as set out hereunder. The Lotteries Committee has again considered the question of Brads Gaming Group Limited’s (“BGGL”) compliance with the Conditions of the Exclusive License to conduct the Government Lotteries signed on the 26th June 2020. The Lotteries Committee is considering whether BGGL has failed to comply with the conditions and/or regulations and in the manner listed below: 1. Tickets: a. Appendix A: Conditions of License, Clause 1 states, “The Licensee shall use and sell tickets in the form prescribed by the Lotteries Committee.” b. BGGL does not use and sell tickets in the form prescribed by the Lotteries Committee 2. Tickets mark: a. Appendix A: Conditions of License, Clause 2 states, “Tickets sold shall bear the mark lodged with the Lotteries Committee.” b. BGGL has not lodged a mark with the Lotteries Committee. 3. System for gathering sales data: a. Appendix A: Conditions of License, Clause 3 states: “The licensee shall establish a system in tandem with the Income Tax Department and Lotteries Committee for the gathering of sales data”. b. BGGL has not consulted with the Lotteries Committee on this system and the Lotteries 1
“In view of the foregoing, the Lotteries Committee hereby notifies you that it intends to consider revoking BGGL’s license. In the circumstances, the Lotteries Committee hereby calls upon you to submit a written response to the allegations of breach set out in this letter on or before the 16th day of January, 2023 stating whether you dispute the alleged breaches and if so indicating why it is you say you are in compliance, and otherwise stating why the Committee ought not to exercise its power to revoke your license.” – Excerpt from the Letter to BGGL as to questions on their compliance with the Conditions of their Exclusive License.
