Poluarea și efectele ei asupra mediului INTRODUCERE Nimeni nu poate afirma cu certitudine când a început cu adevărat poluarea planetei. Există surse care susțin că poluarea a fost declanșată acum 10.000 când primii oameni au descoperit agricultura, unele asociaza începutul poluării masive cu Revoluția Industrială (1760 1840), iar altele consideră că exploziile atomice ce au încheiat Al Doilea Război Mondial au fost cele care pus bazele poluării de astăzi. Cu toate acestea, un singur lucru e cert: indiferent când și unde a început acest fenomen, efectele sale se regăsesc astăzi în toate domeniile. Acest proiect va explica și comenta atât cauzele, cât și efectele poluării, pe care o va privi din mai multe puncte de vedere. ABSTRACT For decades, all of us have been facing the aftermath of constant pollution. Ever since technology started evolving faster than comprehensible and science began to discover even the unimaginable, we have been – knowingly or unknowingly - poisoning our waters, the air we breathe, the creatures inhabiting our planet. As a consequence, we have been also poisoning ourselves. Now, the repercussions of industrialization are present almost everywhere: the higher cancer rates, the destruction of the ozone layer, the declining number of species of animals and plants, the worsening health of marine life. The effects of our carelessness are clear. What is not clear to most, however, is how to change things. Although it may seem difficult, repairing some – if not all – of the damage we have done can start small. Recycling a plastic bottle or reducing electrical consumption today could allow tomorrow’s generation to live a normal life, unafraid of global warming and it’s side effects. What all of us do today could allow them to not have to constantly atone for past mistakes and the effects they had on our planet.
