When all is said and done, school is the place that, outside our own homes, has the most impact on our lives, who we are and what we'll become. It's a place where we meet our friends, develop our academic skills and shape our personalities. Middle school, in and of itself, is a destination. A place we look so forward to coming to as 6th graders and are equally delighted to leave as 8th graders. But, when we look back , when we really reflect on the 11 days of old, 11 we will smile - for all that was and was to come.

And , as with all good th i ngs , the end draws near. One wou ld think that it would be easy to get lost 1n the shuffle from one class to the next in a school with 1100 students , but at Lux , for some reason , we don 't. We belong to a family of sorts. Our teachers know us well. The students enjoy each other and , for the most part , treat each other as expected. Here , we are not j ust a number We have a purpose. We are part of a greater whole. What 's more , we are given the freedom and encouragement to be who we are where we are. That makes Lux a great place to be
