Eleven Senior Girls Nominated One To Be Homecoming Oueen This year because of a tie, ele-
ven girls are competing for Homecoming Queen instead of the usual ten. Of the eleven candidates, the field will be narrowed to fivefour attendants and the Queen. The girl receiving the highest :mmber of votes will be crowned during half time ceremonies at :he October 9, Grand Island footoall game. The four runners up Nill serve in her court. The Varsity Football team nom • mated the eleven girls and all the senior boys will have the op)ortunity to vote for the final iive . The eleven candidates

Sharon Douglas Last year Sharon was elected to ferve as Apprentice Cheerleader, moving up to Varsity Cheerleader 1his year. Her other senior activities are Peppers , Mummers , Choir and Student Council . .lltckie Feather Jackie 's activi ties this year in dud e Varsity Chee rl eader and Peppers. Bonnie Kuklin Senior activit ies for Bonnie include Peppers, Mummers , Assistant Director of the Youth Employment Service, LHS. Representativ e to the Lincoln Journal and membership in the Nebraska Human Research Resource Foundation. Jackie Likens Jackie is a member of Peppers , Coed-Counselors and s e r v e s as Choir secretary. She is also a Home Room Alternate. Ardith Meinke After being an Apprentice Cheerl eader last year, Ardith now serves as Varsity Cheerleader . Her other acti vities include Choir , Pepper s, and Student Council.
