A moment with 7th grade Cross Country runner, Nathan Muir: 11 lt's awesome because you have freedom. I like sports because they're structured. The coaches are helpful. I have funny friends who help me when I'm upset. The teachers are nice helpful and explain things well. Mr. Swanson and Mr. Little are nice and caring. Cross Country is challenging. 7th grade is better. They push you way harder than you would yourself. I like the lunch process. Recess is fun and I play basketball. 11

From science fiction to fantasy, lunch lit allows students to read all different types of gentes while eating lunch with friends. 6th grader Alexis Gurule says "I joined lunch lit because when Mrs. Lafollette talked about it it sounded fun, and I wouldn 1t change a thing." This group is run by Ms.Lafollette, the librarian at Goodrich. Lunch lit is a fun, educational group, that involves the two most enjoyable activities in the world. Reading, and eating. 8th grader Jenny Hoang said "I joined lunch lit because I enjoy reading and hanging out with my friends. I joined lunch lit last year and I really enjoy it." Teammates
The teammate program started back in 1991. Coach Tom Osborne and his wife Nancy came up with this program hoping that the athletes in his program could make an impact on the Middle School Students.
As for 8th grader Janee BlechaColeman has had her teammate sense 3rd grade. Her mentor's name is Ann O'hara. Janee states that "she loves having Ann around, like they make projects together and talk and just enjoy each other for that short time."
Janee also says "Ann O'hara is an amazing person to have as a mentor."
Kyra Gruebele- Mccurdy an 8th grader has a mentor named Hannah Schinkel. Kyra has had her teammate for 3 years. Kyra says she likes having a teammate because "she helps her with some goal for certain classes." Kyra also states "she likes to do anything as long as it's fun."
So as Coach Osborne's program is still standing tall, he is making an impact on children's life here at Goodrich Middle School.
