Today

Into the hole again, I hurried along my way. Into a once glorious garden, Now seeped iD dark decay. Thoughts taunt me about the past, As if I am to blame. I try to clear them from my path, With an elegant slice of a blade. Mange ridden to the core, I lead myself through the fray. With the use of a razor, I clear abominations from my way. So quiet I appear, But madness is cursing my mind. Just one quick pull of the threads, And my whole life will unwind.

The difference between you and me, is not school or friends

The differences we have are only thoughts, the things which we are taught. The words of hate, the disgust of race. Control and power, not love and peace. We only know what we see, and follow the path, which we lead. The ones who teach hate, the ones whom we look up to.

Parents, teachers, leaders, and friends. The differences we have are only outside, so the differences we have is what you can see.

Heaven

There's a little boy walkin Along Broadway listening to headphones. He's doing a balancing act taking to himself arms wide open could care less about home. Danger does surround him and he's laughin all alone. Has no place to rest to call his own. He met a little girl they built their own little world. Livin in a shanty In the forest. Have no money But so far from the poorest. He hunts and makes he laugh, she forgets about the past. Silly little smile on her face. Tells a tale of grace that's all her own.

They're by themselves no help needed because nothings wrong. They make music from their favorite songs. A little boy, a little girl with nothing wrong. Loving the love shown and they're all alone. Love is all there is that grows.

I'm almost an adult,

Yet I'm so young still. I'm not ready to grow up, I'm not ready to be like everyone I don't like.

And I'm definitely not ready to pay bills.

I'm still a child, My heart is still so small, meek, and mild.

People say be responsible, Grow up and be mature. I say stay young, happy, and nurture.

People don't think as I do,

Or focus on the little things my eye catches. They don't turn things, Upside down and Inside out.

I'm one of a kind, There is not one single person even close to being me.

Yet I'm so much like you. I love to be held, kissed and caressed.

I love to feel happy, And I even love to feel sad. I hate to hate but I have to say it happens.

You see my point, we are all like but not one of us is equally same. But they want us to be, grown, adults, working, stressed, and alike.

In a Victorian era ballroom ...

A young man stands against a wall, watching·a young woman seated on the opposite side of the room. He seems to be admiring her from afar. ..

Our young lady notices him standing alone. And as he turns down several other women in request for a danee, she begins to notice things about his appearance. His hair is his own, instead of the powdered wig of the era. His hair is a soft brown color, like a mild tea, and is pulled from his face by means of a cloth tie.

His smile, while seemingly rare, proved to be honest and beautiful. What truly drew her in though were his eyes, a blue so dark as to be almost black.

Watching his stance, she blushed, finding herself thinking of how muscular he must be under his suit

As his brief line of women pass, our young man begins to take notice of many features of our young lady. As one suitor approaches, requesting a dance, her smile, while small, proved to be as beautiful as the pearls around her neck. Her hair, instead of being teased into curls and bows, was allowed to hang straight, accenting her round, beautiful face. What truly took his breath though, were her eyes, a green to match that of an oak leaf ....

Between suitors, our lady takes in more of her admirer. His face was more rectangular in shape, his jaw square and strong, signifying a strong, kind heart. Once as a previous suitor again requests a dance, she sees her admirer's jaw clench and his eyes blaze, for he knew that if a lady had said no, that is what it meant.

He began taking in the curves of her body. She seemed delicate, like a rose, but like a rose he thought that she must also have her own hidden dangers.

Suddenly, their eyes meet, and they both begin to approach the other. He asks her to dance. He bows. She curtsies. They proceed to the dance floor.

As they dance, they become further entranced by each other. At their songs end, they retreat to the back room to talk. Each is enamored by the voice and words of the other. Our young man then requests a carriage ride around the lake. She accepts.

As the two ride the circuit of the lake, full moon above, the young man professes his love. As she turns away, a tear rolls down her cheek. Then as the carriage arrives back in front of the estate, she tells him she is betrothed, and runs inside tears flowing freely.

The young man instructs the driver to go again around the lake. At the furthest end from the estate he tells the driver to stop. In the back of the carriage, he begins to caress his pist0I. (As the song ends) back at the estate, the young lady sits on a balcony, tears falling to the polished stone and curses the moon ...
