1. Why does supporting Loyola Blakefield matter?

Supporting Loyola Blakefield’s Loyola Fund matters to me because it ensures that every student can benefit from an education that challenges the mind and shapes the spirit. Our benefactors’ generosity strengthens the school’s core mission—forming young men of integrity, leadership, and service—so that every Don is equipped to live a life of purpose and impact.

2. Why is philanthropic support essential to Loyola Blakefield’s mission?

Without the generosity of benefactors, Loyola would risk more than financial stability—it could compromise access, affordability, and the full reach of its mission. Support of the Loyola Fund helps ensure that talented young men from diverse backgrounds can experience a Catholic, Jesuit education grounded in faith, brotherhood, and service. Giving not only sustains the school—it preserves the transformative experience that forms men for and with others.

3. Why is it important for many alumni and families to give annually to Loyola Blakefield?

Broad-based support from Loyola’s alumni and families is essential to our continued success. When a large percentage of alumni and families contribute, even with participatory amounts, it shows that our community believes in Loyola and values the education and formation that our students receive. This collective support signals that we have a strong philanthropic culture at this school, and this inspires other benefactors and charitable giving organizations (e.g. foundations) to invest in Loyola initiatives.
