In its 36th year, Leesburg’s award-winning Flower & Garden Festival has long been established as a rite of the spring season for Loudoun residents and visitors from around the region.
Organized by the town’s Department of Parks and Recreation, this is Loudoun County’s largest annual festival, typically attracting 30,000 visitors and locals.
During the weekend, the streets of the downtown historic district will be transformed into a showcase of beautiful flowers, plants and landscaping along with the best of gardening and outdoor living products and services. The roof top beer and wine garden, landscape display contest, three stages of entertainment,
delicious festival food, and Garden Patch Children’s Area mean there is something for everyone.
The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 18 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 19 rain or shine.

FLOWER & GARDEN WEEK IS A COMMUNITY-WIDE PROGRAM THAT TAKES PLACE LEADING UP TO AND DURING THE FLOWER & GARDEN FESTIVAL, WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES OFFERING FLOWER- AND GARDEN-THEMED PROMOTIONS, EVENTS, AND SPECIALS THROUGHOUT LEESBURG FROM APRIL 11TH–19TH.

Many participating businesses continue to offer seasonal experiences throughout the festival weekend. After exploring the festival, consider visiting these local shops, restaurants, and destinations to extend your experience and enjoy all that Leesburg has to offer this spring.

THOMAS BALCH LIBRARY
Thomas Balch Library is celebrating Flower & Garden Week with a special “Festival Finds” edition of their Highlights of Historic Leesburg walking tour. Beginning in early April, the tour will feature seasonal trivia questions—similar to a scavenger hunt—through the online tour app, where participants can earn digital badges along the way. After completing the activity, visitors can stop by the library during open hours to claim a prize. Starting April 11, the library will also present The Botanical World and Seeds of Loudoun, a garden-themed exhibit featuring materials from local garden clubs and related historical collections. On Saturday, April 18, the Friends of Thomas Balch
Library will host a book sale, offering another reason to stop in, explore the exhibit, and add a few new titles to your home library.

Hailing from the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA, Hilary started playing guitar at age 12. This was the onset of a life-long passion for live performance. Theatre, church bands, and coffee shop open mics in her teen years landed her at Duquesne University studying Music Education with a concentration in vocal performance. Since her relocation to Northern Virginia in 2014, Hilary has written and performed alongside local talents and Grammy-winning writers, releasing her own EP in 2018. Influenced by an eclectic group of musicians and mentors, her style transcends genre and generational barriers. In her own words, “expect Bob Dylan to Beyonce”.

Prince, Stephens crafts songs with strong lyrics, timeless musicianship, and a focus on storytelling. In addition to his own work, he has written and produced for artists such as 702, Raheem DeVaughn, Angie Stone, and Chuck Brown, bringing his versatile sound to both his music and others’.

Meisha Herron was born and raised in Chicago and studied guitar at Columbia College. She has two singles out, “Missing”

and “When I Heard the News” on Spotify & Apple Music. In 2018, Meisha visited Virginia region and found the great acoustic music scene and she now performs regularly at wineries, breweries, outdoor festivals and local event spaces to venues throughout Virginia and Maryland.

Drawing inspiration from his bluegrass roots and the rich musical traditions of the Shenandoah Valley, Brennan Edwards is a rising country singer-songwriter from Winchester, VA crafting songs that are both heartfelt and honest, blending the sounds of his heritage with contemporary storytelling. As an emerging independent artist, Edwards continues to grow his following with new music and performances across the region and the world.

Amanda previously came off tour as back up singer and choreographer for rock sensation, Sir Rod Stewart. She previously closed a few great runs in the Musical Theatre world including Sherrie in Rock of Ages, Las Vegas and Val Clark in A Chorus Line, New York. She has had the opportunity of performing alongside other iconic musicians such as Cyndi Lauper, Foreigner, and Jeff Beck.
