Supporter Update June 2026 Issue 13

A Landmark Year for Philanthropy at LWC - The Impact of Collective Generosity This year has already been the most successful fundraising year in the College’s history - a remarkable milestone that reflects the extraordinary generosity and belief of our community. So far this academic year, we have received almost £1.9 million in philanthropic support, with hopes of reaching £2 million before the end of the summer term. This includes transformational legacy gifts totalling £1.4 million, alongside £192,000 from Trusts & Foundations and more than £340,000 through donations from parents, Sternians, staff and friends of the College. Alongside this, supporters have also committed a further £900,000 in future pledges, helping to provide long-term confidence and sustainability for the years ahead. While these figures are hugely significant, they represent something far more important than income alone. Philanthropy at this level reflects trust - trust in the leadership of the College, confidence in the direction we are heading, and belief in the impact an LWC education and Foundation experience can have on young people’s lives.

Every gift, regardless of size or source, plays a part in strengthening Lord Wandsworth College and supporting the young people who benefit from the opportunities created here. From Foundation support to College facilities, this generosity continues to make a lasting difference across LWC life. Most importantly, this success reflects a growing culture of philanthropy, connection and shared purpose across the whole LWC community - something we are deeply grateful for. Thank you.
