Focus on making increased margins & mix it up in 2024 with some creative twists. Boost your sales by benefitting from the popularity of premium cocktails:
Savoury & spicy cocktails are becoming increasingly popular, as people are looking for more complex & interesting flavours in their drinks. For example savoury cocktails include the Bloody Mary & the Dirty Martini, while spicy cocktails include the Jalapeño Margarita & the Ginger Basil Smash.
Here comes .… the ‘Tini’, a twist on the firm favourite the Espresso Martini. Fresh takes on the coffee-based cocktail - you could use local high-quality cold-brew coffee, add subtle notes such as vanilla, & even substitute the vodka for scotch. The Apple Martini is also making a huge comeback, a sour cocktail that will be made from fresher ingredients in 2024 than in the 90s.
Negroni lovers will love new twists on the old classic. Substituting just the gin for Prosecco creates a lower alcohol version known as the Negroni Sbagliato which is light & sweet. Alternatively, substitute the gin for another 2024 favourite, Mezcal, for a smoky, bitter, & sweet drink.
2024 is the year that we get creative with ice. From giant cubes to speciality shapes, to herb or fruit-infused. It’s a way of adding value by decorating your cocktail & adding more flavour.
The experience-seeking culture of Millennials & Gen-Z’s with their insatiable appetite to capture unique moments for their social media has led to the trend of cocktails becoming experiential. Now mixologists must also think about the performance & producing a ‘wow’ moment for the drinker.
Cocktail trends also have a growing consumer market for delicious low-abv & virgin options which are as satisfying as their alcohol counterparts. It pays to add thought & creativity into taste & presentation.
Slushies, Tequila & Mexican-inspired drinks have been named as top on-trade trends for 2024. Try adding Teisseire grenadine syrup to Tequila, fresh lime juice & orange juice for a classic Tequila Sunrise.
For example, the Turmeric Tonic is a refreshing cocktail that uses turmeric syrup & tonic water.
Almond, Apple, Banana, Caramel, Cherry, Chocolate, Coconut, Gingerbread, Gomme, Green Mint, Grenadine, Hazelnut, Jasmine, Lavender, Lime, Mango, Passionfruit, Peach, Raspberry, Salted Caramel, Strawberry, Tiramisu, Vanilla, Watermelon
If the flavours you require are not listed, please let us know and we can add them to our next order.
It’s a huge weekend with the final battles of the Six Nations on Saturday 16th March & St Patrick’s on Sunday 17th March providing a fantastic opportunity to boost sales.
