DIRECTOR REPORT DIRECTOR REPORT JUNE 1 - 30, 2026

Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation’s mission is to Build Community, Enrich Lives, and Care for the Urban and Natural Environment. This report is a look back and summary of operations supporting our mission and promise of excellent services to the people of Lake Oswego. Building Momentum Into Summer June marked the start of a busy summer season as residents filled parks, trails, recreation facilities, camps, and community events across Lake Oswego. A major highlight was celebrating the one-year anniversary of the Lake Oswego Recreation & Aquatics Center (LORAC). In just one year, LORAC has become a vibrant community hub where thousands of residents come to swim, exercise, play, gather, golf, and connect. The month also featured Pride LO, Juneteenth, Live & Local at LORAC, the Farmers' Market, summer camps, and outdoor recreation programs, while staff prepared for the Fourth of July celebrations, summer concerts, the Swim Park opening, and support for other City events like Festival of the Arts. Thank you to our dedicated Parks & Recreation team whose commitment continues to create welcoming spaces, park and recreation experiences, and exceptional services that enrich the quality of life in Lake Oswego.
