Aquatics Team Makes a Splash with Training in Olympia As we move closer to the ribbon cutting and opening of the Lake Oswego Recreation & Aquatics Center (LORAC), our team is diving into training and teamwork! In early March, Aquatics staff members Kelly, Logan, and Colton traveled to Olympia, Washington, to attend the two-day Aqua-X Workshop hosted by the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA). This hands-on training focused on enhancing skills in aquatic fitness instruction, safety, leadership, and program innovation. Recreation Deputy Director Jan joined the team for the final session on Sunday, March 2, rounding out the weekend with a strong emphasis on collaboration and team building. The workshop marked an exciting step forward as we gear up to open LORAC and deliver exceptional aquatic programs to the community.
