An immediate investigation was launched, leading to the initial arrest of four people. A 35-year-old woman and two men, aged 30 and 37, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Additionally, a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and perverting the course of justice.

All four were later released on bail pending further inquiries. As the investigation progresses, the same four individuals were re-arrested on Thursday, 1 May on suspicion of murder.
