The LLA Wind Symphony embarked on their annual Spring Tour in the San Diego area, performing at local academies and churches while enjoying memorable stops at Point Loma Nazarene University, Balboa Park, and the Midway Aircraft Carrier. The trip blended music, learning, and fellowship, creating lasting memories for all who participated
This year also marked the debut of the Sinfonia Orchestra The 13-member string ensemble launched its inaugural season with a retreat at La Sierra University and performances at Festival Octavia and Hallelujah Vespers.
Meanwhile, Pro Musica continued its tradition of excellence, sharing its musical ministry through performances at La Sierra University, the Pacific Union Fall Education Council, and various churches and schools throughout the year.

The year began with a historic first as Girls Flag Football joined CIF competition, winning the league championship and advancing to the Quarterfinals, with London Bryant named League MVP. Girls Volleyball earned its third straight league title and the Walla Walla Tournament championship, while Cross Country swept both league titles, with Carina Alexander named Runner of the Year.
Winter Highlights
Girls' Basketball captured another league title and went undefeated to win the Walla Walla Tournament, with Rocky Mendoza named League Player of the Year The Boys Basketball team placed third at Walla Walla, while both Boys and Girls Soccer finished second in league, demonstrating steady growth and determination.
Spring Highlights
The Swim Team claimed the girls' Ambassador League title and second place for the boys after months of earlymorning training Baseball went undefeated in league, reaching the CIF Quarterfinals, with Andrew Pennell earning League Player of the Year and First Team All-CIF

The 119th Loma Linda Academy Alumni Homecoming Weekend was filled with joy as we look back on the moments we shared Over 200 alumni and friends came together to celebrate this special weekend One of the highlights was the Music Vespers, an evening filled with beautiful performances that touched everyone in attendance We were treated to incredible music from former alumni Alva Waworoendeng, LLA’s talented Wind Symphony, and the Pro Musica group, each performance adding to the special experience.

On Sabbath morning, our worship service brought together around 475 people. Alumni led the service, participating in the roll call, special music, and prayer, while our school administrators played a special role in ensuring all alumni felt welcomed Curtis Alexander Jr , Class of 2000, gave the homily titled "With All of Me," reminding us to remain rooted in Christ as we continue to grow and thrive. We were further blessed by performances from our own LLA 3rd-grade choir, Sinfonia, and Pro Musica.

A Special Family Milestone
This year, Anette Johansson Nunn ’75 celebrated her 50th year since graduating from Loma Linda Academy, a truly special milestone. Even more heartwarming, her daughter, Tess Nunn Eves ’05, also celebrated her 20th year since graduating from LLA. It’s not every day you get such meaningful anniversaries aligning across generations, and this connection highlights a beautiful family legacy at LLA. Reflecting on the experience, Tess shared how special it was to celebrate alongside her mom, emphasizing the powerful reminder of how deeply rooted their connection to Loma Linda has remained over the years “Shout out to class of 1975 & 2005 really goes to show how well-connected we all feel to each other and to this place ”
Born and raised in Redlands, Dr. Todd Ehrler’s journey has been one of growth, purpose, and connection. A proud Loma Linda Academy alumnus, he attended from 1st through 12th grade and fondly recalls the Academy as a place that shaped both his mind and heart. “It was a place where I not only received an exceptional education but also built lifelong friendships with students and teachers who profoundly influenced me,” he shares The Academy’s rigorous academics and strong sense of community prepared him for success at Pacific Union College and beyond Before pursuing dentistry, Todd followed a passion for cycling, spending two years on the U S National Cycling Team; a time that taught him discipline, perseverance, and teamwork He later earned his dental degree and specialized in orthodontics at Loma Linda University, where he discovered a career he truly loves. For the past 20 years, he has built a thriving private practice, helping patients achieve their best smiles and forming lasting relationships with families.
Grateful for his roots, Dr. Ehrler reflects, “Now, as a practicing orthodontist, I relish every chance to return and speak with students about dentistry and orthodontics I’m endlessly grateful to the Loma Linda educational system for equipping me with the tools to succeed and the perspective to love what I do, and I’m honored to give back by inspiring the next generation.”

As we reflect on the 2024–2025 school year at Loma Linda Academy Children’s Center, we are filled with gratitude for our families, volunteers, and staff who make this community so special.
