Team of lighting
At Loerakker LED Line, a team of experienced lighting specialists is ready to develop an elegant lighting solution for any lighting challenge. The company is located in the centre of the Netherlands (next to IKEA in Amersfoort) and features office spaces, a lighting studio – where different lighting solutions can be experienced live – and a well-equipped production facility.
Vision on light
As a lighting company, we see many different lighting installations and have a clear understanding of how end users experience light. In many cases, there is considerable room for improvement. Many people genuinely suffer from poor lighting. Some even prefer to work in the dark. That is, of course, unacceptable. This is how our vision on indirect lighting emerged:

back to basics. What is light? We see by virtue of reflection. So why not use the most obvious reflective surfaces? The ceiling and the walls.
Surround Light
It is a matter of rethinking lighting: instead of directing light straight downwards, it is directed indirectly via the ceiling, creating a ‘cloud of light’ rather than a direct beam. Such a cloud provides an ideal lighting environment for work and learning spaces, as it most closely resembles natural daylight. Daylight is indirect, reflected everywhere and coming from all directions. Natural daylight – or something that closely approximates it – is simply the most pleasant light to be in. This is often immediately reflected in improved work or learning performance and reduced absenteeism.

To support our vision on lighting, we developed our own luminaire range, with a clear focus on indirect light. Later in this catalogue, under ‘Surround Light’, we will return to this in more detail – the invention of Maarten Loerakker.
Production in the Netherlands
Maarten Loerakker: “We deliberately chose to produce in the Netherlands. The main advantage is the flexibility it gives us to offer extensive customisation. We work with short lead times and can also produce in small quantities. This gives us an advantage over competitors. We foresee a future in which every LED solution is derived from a standard – integrated into furniture, for example. When production is close at hand, every designed solution can actually be realised. This is how we want to be known: as the company that both designs and produces high-quality lighting solutions.”
Growing
by pioneering Loerakker LED Line originated as a new company alongside Koreman Lighting Maintenance, the company Maarten Loerakker joined in 2011
through a headhunter. As lighting maintenance is no longer a sustainable business model in the LED era, Maarten shifted his focus to lighting solutions and luminaire manufacturing. Projects for clients such as Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the Municipality of Amsterdam and OBA (Public Library Amsterdam) formed the foundation of Loerakker LED Line. The transition from bespoke luminaires to a proprietary luminaire range was therefore natural and straightforward.
Co-creation
A good example is the L11, developed in close collaboration with a dentist. Dentists perform highly precise work all day long in demanding conditions. Good lighting is crucial: very high light levels combined with a specific light colour. The L14 is another example of ‘ultimate customisation’. Developed for Hunter Douglas ceilings (design system ceilings), this luminaire has become their standard. At the same time, it is also available for other lighting solutions and is applied in wooden and aluminium ceilings. In short: when we develop a bespoke product for a specific project, we preferably include it in our standard range.

Social responsibility
Recently, Loerakker LED Line entered into a collaboration with Metafors (part of the Amfors Group, which provides employment to approximately 1,000 people with a distance to the labour market) to produce high-quality LED luminaires. Loerakker LED Line develops the luminaires, Metafors handles production – from the smallest aluminium components to complete assembly. This collaboration goes beyond project-based work; Metafors has also seconded an employee to Loerakker LED Line.
Lighting pioneer Maarten Loerakker
Maarten Loerakker – lighting philosopher, designer, owner, chairman of CIE Lighting Technology NL, member of the NEN lighting committee and the NSVV advisory board – has the ability to clearly translate complex technical matters into intelligent and elegant lighting solutions. After studying Photonics, he became fascinated by LED technology. In 2002, he became a co-shareholder of Triolight and was among the first in the Netherlands to actively work with LED lighting.
LED pioneer
As a manufacturer of flexible LED strips, Maarten successfully introduced a unique lighting concept to the market. In the years that followed, he developed many bespoke LED products for specific projects. This pioneering work is clearly reflected in the latest Loerakker LED Line luminaires. After acquiring a traditional lighting maintenance company, he developed his distinctive vision on lighting, translated into the unique luminaires of Loerakker LED Line.

PENDANT LUMINAIRE WITH SURROUND LIGHT
Comfortable light, minimalist design and sustainable innovation: the Loerakker led line has it all. Perhaps most importantly: every luminaire is custom-made as standard and therefore exactly what you need.
Fits in any space
You can choose as standard the colour of the luminaire, length (from 120 cm to 300 cm), colour temperature and output. If you prefer an authentic appearance, wooden accents are available; or choose your own RAL colour and make the lighting an integrated part of the interior.
In addition, there are optional extra features to choose from. The Loerakker led line is assembled in the Netherlands with a delivery time of 2 to 3 weeks within the standard options.
Configuration to your preference
If you choose a white (RAL 9016) or silver grey (RAL 9006) luminaire, expect a delivery time of 2 to 3 weeks. Any other colour is also possible, but this entails a longer delivery time. You also choose the end cap: oak wood or powder-coated aluminium in white (RAL 9016) or black. Other end caps are also possible, with a delivery time of 6 to 8 weeks. Check the extra features further on.

Choice of length
Choose a standard length (120 cm, 150 cm, 200 cm, 250 cm and 300 cm) or any other length between 60 cm and 600 cm. The latter is also possible but involves customisation and therefore slightly longer delivery times. If you require something outside the standard options, please contact us.
Rule of thumb: allow one linear metre of L1 per 4.8 m².
Matching output
There is ample choice in output: Standard Output, High Output (HO), extra High Output (HO2) and for the most demanding situations High Output 3 (HO3). Thanks to the various lengths, we offer enormous variation in possibilities. A 120 cm luminaire starts at 4,400 lm output up to the HO3 variant with 16,000 lm. The 2.5 m luminaire starts with a standard output of 8,800 lm and in the HO3 variant increases to 34,000 lm.
And all this with remarkably high efficiency; depending on type and light colour, efficiency is never lower than 140 lm/W and can reach up to 180 lm/W.
Choose the light colour
In terms of light colour, the latest technologies offer many variations. Available light colours are 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, 5000K and 6500K. In addition, instead of the standard CRI 80, you can choose a higher CRI value of CRI 90.

In addition to standard Surround Light, the L2 also provides direct illumination. Like the other Loerakker luminaires, the L2 features high-quality Philips LEDs and can be fully customised in your own colour and signature.

L2 PENDANT LUMINAIRE COMBINATION WITH SURROUND LIGHT
This may well be our most subtle and at the same time most versatile luminaire. With a tube diameter of just 53 mm, this minimalist design is suitable for many applications. The L2 combines direct and indirect lighting and is available as a pendant luminaire and as a wall luminaire.
Soft line of light
Not only the luminaire itself, but also the light of the L2 is beautiful to see. Specially developed diffusers create a soft homogeneous line of light that distributes light across the work surface. At the top, LED boards with synthetic shielding provide indirect lighting via the ceiling, resulting in a beautiful homogeneous light distribution. The luminaire is manufactured from clear anodised aluminium. The diameter of approximately 53 mm ensures a subtle yet powerful presence in any space.
Sustainable aluminium
Because this complete product is made of aluminium, it is highly sustainable. Aluminium can be recycled indefinitely without loss of quality. In fact, our aluminium

luminaires already consist of 40% recycled aluminium. In addition, the luminaires can be deployed circularly. After the LEDs have reached their extremely long lifetime of more than 100,000 operating hours, the aluminium can be reused in two ways: recycling or refitting with new LEDs for renewed use.
Design and production in-house
The design is based on three extrusion profiles: the base H-profile, on which LEDs are mounted directly onto the aluminium on both sides for maximum heat transfer. The aluminium cover cap connects almost seamlessly to the base profile. The polycarbonate diffuser cover cap has a precisely engineered diffusion effect, ensuring that the LED light points are just not visible while creating a beautifully even light image, with a maximum light transmission of 81%.
All mentioned extrusion profiles are stocked in six-metre lengths as standard, allowing endless variation in configurations. Due to the minimalist design, the driver is externally positioned. A separate driver box can be ordered for this purpose.

Powerful downlighter for optimal direct lighting: a beacon in halls, corridors or entrances. Choose from versions with a flange size of 170, 220 or 240. The L3 is equipped with high-quality LEDs from Philips and can be supplied in custom colours and with a distinctive signature.

L3 DOWNLIGHT (170 / 220 / 240)
The Loerakker L3 is a powerful downlighter for straightforward work. Traffic areas, halls, reception areas; this powerhouse comes into its own everywhere. We have completely redesigned this downlight; the heat sink has also been newly developed. After many simulations, a heat sink was created that dissipates heat from the LED in a built-in situation through natural airflow. This guarantees the lifespan of the LED.
High-quality Philips Fortimo LEDs
For this fixture, too, we like to use the very high-quality Philips Fortimo LED range. Whether it concerns a downlighter for an IT company or for a clothing store; the right LED is easily selected. Every Philips Fortimo LED can be used, from the special ‘Crisp White’ with an unrivaled white balance to a standard 830 or 840 version. We program the external Philips driver to the correct output and can provide it in various dimmable versions from Dali to 0-10V.
Ideal for renovation: non-standard flange sizes possible
Because most LED downlights are smaller than their conventional equivalents, you often encounter a problem with the existing installation size during renovations. Usually, an adapter ring is required in such cases.

We have taken this into account in the design: the flange fits into the larger PL installation sizes. Should this not fit in an exceptional case, a nonstandard flange size is no problem at all. We manufacture the fixture in-house and provide custom work on a project basis.
Custom work and very short delivery times
We assemble the downlights to order. This means that everything can be selected per order: light color, lumen output, beam angle, and even the color of the flange. All while maintaining a short delivery time of 2-3 weeks.

After many simulations, a heat sink was created that dissipates heat from the LED in a built-in setting through natural airflow. This guarantees the lifespan of the LED.
Philips Fortimo LED range with programmable driver
For this fixture, too, we use the very high-quality Philips Fortimo LED range. Any Philips Fortimo LED can be used, from the special ‘Crisp White’ with an unparalleled white balance to a standard 830 or 840 version. We program the external Philips driver to the correct output and can supply it in various dimmable versions from DALI to 0-10V.

The L3-62-RI and L3-62-SI are the right choice when lighting needs to integrate into the ceiling design without compromising on light quality or appearance. Thanks to the minimalist design and limited installation dimensions, these fixtures fit seamlessly between the panels without disrupting the ceiling appearance.
Both versions combine a sleek design with functional light. The deep light source and reflector technology ensure low glare and controlled light beams, making the fixtures suitable for both general lighting and accent lighting.
The choice between round and square is purely aesthetic; technically, the fixtures are equivalent. This allows them to be easily combined within a single project.

Indirect light
By popular demand: a wall luminaire matching the successful L1. The L4 also features high-quality Philips LEDs, can be fully customized in your own color and signature, and offers Surround Light as standard. This means that with these luminaires, you approximate daylight conditions as closely as possible.
Wall Luminaires
A particularly stylish and efficient lighting solution for a wide variety of applications and spaces. Wall luminaire matching the L1. Fully customisable and equipped with Surround Light. Asymmetrical light distribution ensures efficient ceiling illumination with minimal wall reflection. Available in custom lengths (60–600 cm). Output depends on length (15W–150W). Colour temperatures from 2700K to 6500K.
Indirect wall lighting
With the L4, the asymmetrical light output ensures good light distribution across the ceiling so that little light is lost to unnecessary reflections against the wall.
Wall mounting is simple: depending on the length, you can screw two or three stainless steel mounting clips to the wall onto which you ‘click’ the fixture.
Fits in every room
Comfortable light, minimalist design, and sustainably innovative; the Loerakker LED line has it all. But perhaps most importantly: every fixture is custom-made as standard and therefore exactly what you need. You have a standard choice of fixture color, length (up to 250 cm), color temperature, and wattage. If you opt for an authentic look, there are wooden end cap accents, or choose your own RAL color and make the lighting an integrated part of the interior.
Furthermore, there are extra features that you can choose optionally. The Loerakker LED line is assembled in the Netherlands with a delivery time of 2 to 3 weeks within the standard options.
Wall Luminaires
Full choice of length
Choose a standard length (120 cm, 150 cm, 200 cm, and 250 cm) or any other length between 60 cm and 600 cm. The latter is also possible, but requires custom work and a slightly longer delivery time. If you require something outside the standard options, please contact us.
Appropriate power
The power (and light output) depends on the length you choose. For a length of 120 cm, you have the choice of 30W or 60W. For 150 cm, 37.5W or 75W. For 200 cm, 45W and 90W. For 250 cm, there is a choice of 60W or 120W. For 300 cm, 75W or 150W.
Choose the light color
A matter of taste and application. 3,000K is warmer, for a comfortable and calm appearance. 4,000K is a bit cooler, for a more energetic look.

Dynamic lighting
The Loerakker LED line is equipped with dual LEDs, which stimulate the natural day-night rhythm. You become less fatigued, suffer less from jet lag, and are more productive. Sounds good, but let us convince you: we can demonstrate the difference effectively in our lighting studio in Amersfoort.

L7 PENDANT LUMINAIRE
COMBINATION WITH SURROUND LIGHT
The most advanced luminaire in the led line series. The starting points during development were stylish design and high-end quality, both in light experience and lifespan. The L7 offers the best of two worlds: indirect light combined with direct illumination.
Specially developed diffusers create a soft, homogeneous line of light that spreads across the work surface. At the top, two LED boards with synthetic shielding illuminate the ceiling, resulting in a beautiful homogeneous light distribution. The luminaire is made of aluminium and can be anodised or coated in any RAL colour. With a height of approximately 4 cm, it is subtle yet powerful in any space.
Smart extrusion profiles
The luminaire consists of two precisely engineered extrusion profiles with a clean rounded shape. These are connected using stainless steel connectors. Folded aluminium plates seal the top and bottom and also serve as LED holders. The drivers are integrated into the curvature of the extrusion profiles. Everything fits with precision down to a tenth of a millimetre. The sleek lines combined with wooden finishing create a striking feature in any interior.

Pleasant light experience
The L7 delivers 70% indirect and 30% direct light as standard, though this ratio can be variably adjusted. The indirect LEDs are positioned to provide a wider beam angle, allowing suspension at 16 cm below the ceiling instead of the standard 50 cm. This is particularly beneficial in rooms with lower ceilings.
The direct light is shielded by a high-quality prismatic diffuser, ensuring even distribution while remaining comfortable to the eye. This luminaire can also be equipped with advanced wireless sensors. DALI and Zigbee drivers and sensors are available, as well as Human Centric Lighting.
Tip: The luminaires can be connected to form continuous light lines.

The L12 luminaires are standard recessed luminaires for suspended ceilings. Loerakker led line offers both a 60 x 60 cm and a 30 x 120 cm version. The metal housings are solid and strong. The special prismatic plastic light panels ensure low brightness in the visible surface. The Philips Fortimo LED boards used can be set to different power levels so that light output never becomes an issue.
Wireless sensors
These luminaires can be equipped with wireless sensors that can easily be dimmed using a separately available wireless dimmer. Daylight control and motion detection can therefore be easily integrated into a solid lighting solution without the need for additional cabling.

The L14 is available in 3 widths: 20mm, 30mm and 40mm, in 5 lengths (which are also connectable) and is equipped with a prism reflector. In addition, Loerakker offers a sophisticated track system for linear ceilings with a choice of eight different pendant luminaires and spotlights. Variations with the HeartFelt® Ceiling System
The L14 is available in 3 widths: 20mm, 30mm, and 40mm luminaires for beautiful, seamless installation in the HeartFelt® ceiling by Hunter Douglas. The 20 mm luminaire fits between panels from a pitch of 60. Profile width 30 mm fits between panels from a pitch of 70 mm. The 40 mm version (from a pitch of 80 mm) can also be mounted in place of the felt panels. This allows this lighting system to offer plenty of possibilities for sleek and playful designs.

L14-D40 SPOT HUNTERDOUGLAS HEARTFELT® CEILING
This spotlight has been specially developed for the HeartFelt® Ceiling System by Hunter Douglas. The dimensions correspond to the width of a lamella, 40 mm. The shape is designed so that the lamellas rest on the luminaire and connect seamlessly. The D40 is available in three colours: black, grey, and white, and optionally in a custom RAL colour. In addition, there is a choice of three matching reflector colours: black, aluminium, and white, as well as three beam angles.
Very easy installation
This luminaire is quick to install, as it can be clicked directly onto the HeartFelt® carrier without additional tools. It can also be suspended if no carrier is available in the desired position.
The Philips Xitanium LED driver can also be easily clicked onto the HeartFelt® carrier. With the robust plug & play Wago® mini connector system, up to five luminaires can be connected to a single LED driver

Flexible use as main or supplementary lighting: linear luminaires, spotlights and pendant luminaires in a smart track rail system. The track fits perfectly between the lamellas of Hunter Douglas ceilings and is installed simultaneously with the ceiling. This luminaire has been specially developed for the DERAKO® Ceiling System by Hunter Douglas. The dimensions correspond to the width of the wooden panels. For project-based applications, the luminaires can be custom-made to the required width. The shape is designed so that, just like the wooden panels, the luminaires can be clicked into the DERAKO® carrier system.
Matching colours
The L14-9150 is available in two colours, black and white, and optionally in a custom RAL colour. In addition, a choice can be made between light colours 3000K and 4000K. The 92 mm width with a length of 1500 mm will be kept in stock in black and white, 3000K and 4000K. Variations to this will be produced on a project basis with a lead time of approximately 12–14 weeks.
This luminaire is also quick to install, as it can be clicked directly onto the DERAKO® carrier without additional tools.

The L17, with its subtle bell-shaped lines, offers a Surround Light experience and provides a strong amount of light on desks or meeting tables. Made of aluminium with milled aluminium end caps, the pendant has both a playful and robust appearance. Available in three lengths (1.2 m, 1.5 m and 2.5 m) and can be powder-coated in any desired RAL colour.

L18 LINEAR LUMINAIRE
DIRECT
Manufactured from aluminium extrusion, this luminaire offers maximum flexibility in application: it can be used as a standalone luminaire in various lengths, or as a continuous light line, both suspended and surface-mounted. In addition, the light line can optionally be equipped with sensors and emergency power supplies. The combination of these functionalities makes the L18 linear luminaire an ideal choice for offices, schools, retail environments and other public spaces.
Maximum flexibility and customisation
The L18 is available in no fewer than nine lengths, ranging from 600 mm to 2850 mm, and can be powder coated in any desired RAL colour for a perfectly matched finish.
The prismatic diffuser, an added advantage, can be supplied in lengths of up to 6 metres and can be easily clicked into the profile during installation. This is particularly beneficial when creating longer continuous light lines.

Powder coating in all colors
With powder coating, we use various color pigments and finishes, such as solid colors, textures, or special effects. The color spectrum in powder coating is much more extensive than in anodizing. This allows you to have your fixtures finished in your own (corporate identity) colors.
Metal spraying
An innovative, unique finish. Fine metal powder is mixed with plastic and then sprayed onto the surface to be treated. After drying, the plastic is polished away, leaving a real metal surface.

Anodizing
With anodizing, a surface treatment, you can choose between normal brushed metal, sanded metal, or a pearl-smooth surface. Not only does this process provide a protective oxide coating
on the metal, but you can also achieve special aesthetic effects with it. The color selection is limited; if you are looking for unique or spectacular colors, choose powder coating.
You can then brush, polish, or sand it. Exactly what you prefer. A super strong coating with a unique appearance.
