Oh MG Chloe Wigg
Oh MG is a celebration of community and storytelling while raising awareness for the rare disease Myasthenia Gravis which the artist was diagnosed with in 2021. When you visit Oh MG, you will see a vibrant and beautiful wall drape comprised of more than 2600 crocheted snowflakes from donations all across Australia, a collection of snowflake sculptures created from up-cycled medication bottles collected from MG sufferers nationwide and a series of vibrant abstract portraits telling the stories of those with MG. This exhibition is a celebration of community and the power of art as advocacy.

Light Horse Art Ron and Jennifer Marshall
These paintings were inspired by true stories from original sources of the Australian Light Horse. Although the setting is war, these paintings are about relationships. Even amid the ghastliness of a battlefield, something so supremely beautiful can be found – the wonderful, powerful, mysterious relationship between man and horse, and between man and his fellow man – even sometimes his enemy!

Beyond the Brushstrokes:
A Visual Collaboration
Susan Butler, Linda Senjov and Sharon Ross
This exhibition will present the audience with a collaborative, original and coherent display of artworks produced by three emerging artists. As three friends living and working in the region, the artists are united by a shared passion of artistic expression. The trio draws inspiration from their surroundings, including the Lockyer Valley and their travel adventures both in Australia and beyond, exploring the dynamic relationship between nature, landscape and the built environment, together with history and tradition.

Perspectives
High Schools of the Lockyer Valley Perspectives showcases student work from various high schools in the Lockyer Valley.
Featuring a diverse range of artwork, viewers are invited to perceive the works through the eyes of a teenager growing up in the Lockyer Valley. Sometimes beautiful, sometimes challenging, the works demonstrate student responses to, and their interpretation of, the places, people and politics they encounter. This keenly anticipated exhibition is embraced by both the local community and visitors to our region.

HER
Rhiannon Thistlethwaite HER is a photographic exploration of the many faces of womanhood—soft, fierce, sensual, nurturing, ambitious, wild, and wise. Through intimate portraiture, the archetypes that live within every woman are revealed. This body of work celebrates feminine power in all its forms. Each image tells a story of reclamation, identity, and presence. Captured in local landscapes and featuring women from our community, HER invites you to see yourself—or someone you love—reflected in raw, honest beauty. This exhibition is for every woman who’s ever felt too much, not enough, or anything in between. She is all of it. She is HER.

A Trio in Colour
The Creatives: Tracy Kennedy-Shanks, Elizabeth Browne and Jen Voll
A Trio in Colour brings together the unique visions of three artists, Tracy, Elizabeth, and Jen. This exhibition is a vibrant diagonal exploring the expressive power of colour. Tracy's luminous watercolour, Elizabeth's bold acrylics and Jen's masterful pastels create a dynamic conversation. While each artist brings a distinct technique, their work is united by a shared passion for colour as a primary tool of expression. From the fluid transparency of watercolour, the layered intensity of acrylics and the blended pigments of pastel, the exhibition celebrates how one powerful element can be interpreted in three unique voices.
The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) is delivered as a partnership between the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland and the Lockyer Valley Regional Council to support local arts and culture. Council’s RADF program promotes the role and value of arts, culture and heritage as key drivers of diverse and inclusive communities and strong regions. The program is a flexible fund that invests in local arts and cultural priorities. Multiple funding rounds are offered each financial year. Lockyer Valley Art Gallery invites applications from artists and curators to exhibit in 2027. Applications close August 2026. Exhibitions at the Lockyer Valley Art Gallery are installed and maintained by the Principal Libraries and Galleries and team. Lockyer Valley Art Gallery
The Lockyer Valley Art Gallery is located in Gatton and is part of the Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre. The Gallery presents an exciting program of changing exhibitions featuring local and visiting artists. Purpose-built in 2009, the flexible gallery space is ideal for group and solo exhibitions. Regional highlights of the calendar include the annual high school exhibition supporting younger artists in the community, a local artist showcase as well as travelling exhibitions. Entry to the Gallery is free.
