Welcome to the March Issue of Local Living Happy 1 Year Anniversary Under New Management! As we say goodbye to February, we welcome in the start of spring! The weather is slowly warming up, flowers are coming back into bloom, and it’s time to shake off the dust and get in some Spring Cleaning! But if the thought of Spring Cleaning has you begging to go back to winter, we have just the thing to help you get started. Check out our tips and tricks and, when you know what needs to go, take a glance at one of our new advertisers - East Lancs Self Storage! All their information is right alongside our Cleaning Guide so you can keep it handy while you sort through the hoard. Also this month we will be raffling tickets for Black & Gold on our Facebook page, so make sure to keep an eye out if you’re feeling lucky! As always, we’re constantly on the lookout for local news to spotlight. If you have a story you’d like us to include, or a local hero you think deserves some recognition, make sure to get in touch!

Connecting Together We are a day centre called Connecting Together, for individuals with learning disabilities, mental health and autism. We are based on the Kid Glove industrial estate in Golborne where we have been for 7 years. Over the time being there, we have developed strong links with the community and our service users feel very valued. In December 2021, the majority of the businesses on the enterprise park organised a Christmas party for all of our service users. It was absolutely fantastic! They provided presents for each service user, outside caterers, a Christmas tree (complete with decorations and lights) and a sweet and donut stall. Both service users and staff thoroughly enjoyed the day. We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every individual involved in making the day so enjoyable and memorable.
