LOOK INTO THE FUTURE WITH THE GOLBORNE AND LOWTON WEST NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN
The Voice for Golborne and Lowton West, your community forum, has been working on a Neighbourhood Plan, designed to deal with derelict land and secure regeneration and town centre recovery, whilst also protecting the historic and green environments throughout the Plan area. If made, the Plan will also inform future decisions on planning applications. The 31st January 2022 sees the launch of a 6 week Regulation 14 consultation period, to give residents and other interested parties the opportunity to comment on the policies that have been developed. This is the first step on the road to implementation of the Plan and the Voice is inviting you to take a look and give your opinion. The Plan in full can be viewed at Golborne Library from the 31st January for 6 weeks until the 14th March where you can also find out more on the display board. There will be a similar display at the Heath Street Methodist Church. The Community Centre, Church Lane for 2 weeks from 14th February, at the Parkside Club for 2 weeks from 28th February and at the Golborne Sports and Social Club for 2 weeks from the 28th February. In addition, the Plan can be viewed online at glwnv.co.uk Your views are very important - please take some time to look at the policies and provide any comments as soon as possible by completing the section at the bottom of the ‘summary’ leaflet which is available at the selected venues, and which will also be available at our displays and in local shops where a response ‘post box’ will be provided. Alternatively, you can complete our Survey Monkey at https:// www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/XVW9QDC The deadline for submitting your comments is 14th March 2022 and this date is fixed by legislation. If you have any questions about the Plan, please email the Voice on chair@glwnv.co.uk
