PICKLEBALL WITH A PURPOSE!

Join us for a weekend of friendly competition and fun at our 4th Annual Battle of the Paddle Pickleball Tournament and Fundraiser on February 27-28! The tournament will be played in a pool play format followed by a single elimination tournament. Each division will split into two brackets based on skill level and pool play. Event proceeds benefit the YMCA Annual Fundraising Campaign.

2026-2027 School Year Registration!

Before/After School

Through our partnership with the Lincoln Public School district, the Y provides a ordable before and after school care to families, aligned with the school calendar. Activities support experiential learning and develop valuable life skills through homework assistance, arts and crafts, literacy, group games, and outdoor play.

Preschool

A licensed child care program which o ers your little one, ages 3 to 5, developmental learning experiences. Swim lessons and a half-hour gym class are included as a part of our program. Our Preschool program emphasizes the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of each child.

Priority Registration: February 3-8

Y Family/Household Member Registration: February 10-15

Open Registration: February 17 until full

PARENTS NIGHT OUT

February 20, 5:30 – 8:30pm

Take the night off—you deserve it! While you have time to yourself, your kids can have a blast at the YMCA! Parents Night Out offers a safe, fun-filled evening for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Offered at the Cooper, Copple Family, and Fallbrook YMCAs.

Join us for the next session of Swim Lessons! Whether your child is a timid toe-dipper or skilled swimmer, we’ll help them build their swim and safety skills!

Registration opens for Y Members on March 3 and March 5 for Community Members.

Join us for gymnastics at the Y this spring! With beginner to advanced level classes, there’s a fit for every gymnast! Dance and gymnastics programing will take a break in the summer with more sessions resuming in the fall, so don’t miss your chance to sign your child up this spring!

EVOLT CHALLENGE

February 15 – April 11

Registration is now open for our 8-week Evolt Body Composition Challenge – FREE for Lincoln Y Members! How does it work? Complete three Evolt scans (beginning, middle, and end) between February 8 – April 19. First, second, and third place prizes will be awarded based on Muscle Gained, with separate categories for Male and Female.

Supporting Healthy Aging!

FOREVERWELL® empowers adults 55+ to stay active, connected, and engaged through wellness programs that support healthy aging. Rooted in physical activity, social connection, and lifelong well-being, the goal is to help everyone live well, every day. Participants have a chance to keep active and grow in spirit, mind, and body.

Although National Compliment Day was officially on Saturday, January 24, YMCA staff celebrated the whole week long by sharing kind words with co-workers and members alike!

To ring in the New Year, all four YMCA of Lincoln branches collectively welcomed 80 new faces for workouts, tours, and tons of fun on January 1!

Last month, the Camp Kitaki team traveled to Michigan for the Mid America Camping Conference (MACC) where they connected and shared their knowledge with many camping professionals. At the closing banquet, Jason Smith, our Camp Kitaki Senior Executive Director, was honored with the MACC Mission Award. This award recognizes a leader in the camping industry who actively contributes to education, connection, and motivation within the MACC community. Congrats, Jason!

Lincoln’s Choice Awards

The Lincoln’s Choice Awards are back and we want our members to do the talking! Between now and February 8, you can nominate the Y for any (and all!) of the following categories: Best Gym, Best Place to Take the Kids, Best Preschool, Best Youth Activity Program (Non-Sports), Best Youth Sports Program, Best Place to Work - Large, and Best Charity/Nonprofit.

Early Childhood Fair

Sunday, February 15 | 2:00-4:00pm Gateway Mall | FREE to attend

Join the Y and several community members for this year’s Early Childhood Fair! Activities include sensory bins, dancing, STEM, arts and crafts, and more! The fair is geared toward children through age 8, but all are welcome for an afternoon of fun!

Swim Challenge

The “Escape to Paradise” Swim Challenge officially kicked off on February 1, but there is still time to register! Swim to five Caribbean “islands” (30 miles) now through March 31 to be entered to win a $100 SCHEELS Gift Card along with a swim bag from your branch. PLUS, a t-shirt is included with your registration! Registration is open through February 15.
