EGYM LAUNCHING THIS MONTH AT THE COOPER Y!
We’re excited to announce the upcoming arrival of EGYM smart strength equipment, offering a more personalized way to build strength and stay active. Designed for those new to fitness and active older adults in mind, EGYM makes strength training simple, approachable, and effective.
EGYM uses science-backed technology that adapts to each user’s progress and goals, creating a personalized experience from the very first workout. The system guides members through each movement–adjusting resistance, tracking progress, and ensuring exercises are done safely and effectively. The guided circuit delivers a full-body workout in under 30 minutes, making it a time-efficient option for those new to strength training or looking to stay strong, active, and independent.
EGYM will be available at the Cooper YMCA beginning April 15. All Lincoln Y members can access this smart fitness technology for a one-time $25 fee, which includes an EGYM wristband and onboarding session.
"At the YMCA, we’re always looking for ways to make health and wellness more accessible. EGYM removes the intimidation that can come with strength training, creating a supportive and personal experience for everyone–from those just getting started to our 55+ community."
KARLA HUDSON Associate Executive Director Cooper YMCA

PARENTS NIGHT OUT

Once a month, the Cooper, Copple Family, and Fallbrook YMCAs host Parents Night Out - a night that gives parents the opportunity for an evening to themselves while their children are having fun at the Y! Last month, children attending Parents Night Out enjoyed a movie, games, crafts, and swimming complete with a sea theme. Click here to register your child to join us this month for another fun themed night of activities!
EASTER EGG HUNTS
Thank you to all who had a blast with us at our Easter events across our branches in March. Plenty of egg hunts, candy, crafts, swimming, games, and more were enjoyed by all who attended.

REMINDERS
Happy Easter!
As a reminder, all Lincoln Y locations will be CLOSED on Sunday, April 5 for Easter. Normal hours will resume Monday, April 6.
Five Days of Action
April 13-17
An initiative of the YMCA Champions for Child Protection, Five Days of Action is designed to raise awareness and inspire adults to take action to protect children from sexual abuse. This year’s focus is keeping kids safe in the digital space.
Day Without Shoes
April 6-19
We’re once again excited to partner with Cornhusker Bank and People’s City Mission this month for Day Without Shoes, an initiative to help raise awareness of the impact a pair of shoes can have on a person’s life. Since 2011, more than 416,000 pairs of shoes have been donated across several partnering collection sites.
Help us keep the momentum going this year! Beginning April 6 through April 19, we’re collecting new or gently used shoes to support families in need. Donations can be placed in the blue barrels at any Lincoln Y location.
Dance Mini Session
Registration is open until April 12 for our Dance Mini Session running April 6 - May 10
As a reminder, dance and gymnastics programing will take a break for the summer, returning in the fall. Don’t miss this last chance to register your child for our Spring session! This mini session is a great introduction for little dancers.
“Everyone is so friendly and the staff is customer service driven. I’ve made so many new friends at the Y. As a senior, I just love the water aerobic classes. They are easy on my joints. I get a lot of cardio without exhausting myself.”
