UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT FINANCE MADE SIMPLE
Most UK students can apply for:
• A Tuition Fee Loan to cover your course fees
• Maintenance loans to help with living costs are means-tested, so eligibility and amounts will depend on your personal circumstances. Using the Student Finance calculator can give an estimate, but it does not guarantee a loan.
Apply as early as you can,ideally before May in the year you are wishing to start your studies, to avoid delays. You can apply up to 9 months after the start date of your course.

Student finance is available to full-time and part-time students who meet the eligibility rules for student finance. If you are eligible for a maintenance loan it will be paid directly into your bank account by the ‘Student Loans Company’ once you have enrolled and started attending your course, the loan is paid in three termly instalments.
To ensure we continue to invest in the student experience, tuition fees may rise each year of your course in line with the cap set by the government. The fee cap for September 2025 entry is set at £9,275. If the fee cap increases for the 2026/27 academic year, the tuition fee stated here will increase to the new cap. WHEN DO I START REPAYING MY LOAN?
You only start repaying once you’ve graduated and are earning over the repayment threshold (currently £25,000 per year for most students).

Your repayments are based on what you earn, not what you owe. You only repay a percentage of your income above the threshold, not your whole salary. BTEC Extended Diploma in Performing Arts Practice (Dance) is a two-year course that involves the study of a range of dance skills development, dance and performing arts industries and collaborative live performance. The Extended Diploma is broadly equivalent to three A-Levels.

BTEC Extended Diploma in Digital Games Art is a two year course that involves studying and implementing a range of techniques specifically for the gaming industry. The course acts as a technical foundation so that by the end of their two year study, students will have a sophisticated set of skills that will enable them to specialise as they move into higher education or into industry. The Extended Diploma is broadly equivalent to three A Levels.

Students will explore various practical film-making skills, editing techniques, audio recording and scriptwriting to enable them to specialise as they move into higher education or industry. BTEC Extended Diploma in Music is a two year course that involves studying and implementing a range of techniques specifically for the music industry. The course acts as a technical foundation so that by the end of their two year study, students will have a sophisticated set of music skills that will enable them to specialise as they move into higher education or into industry.
